Seems to be early in Batman’s career. I like the lecture Gordon gives him.

Legends of the Dark Knight #192-196: Snow. Pretty interesting art from Seth Fisher. He sure gets creative with the sound effects as the arc goes on. Definitely not an artist who's as suited to Batman as he is to something more out there like Green Lantern, but a unique take that is interesting to look at none the less. Ostensibly the hook of this arc is re-visiting Mr. Freeze's first appearance, but that stuff is honestly pretty ho-hum. The real interesting stuff is Batman assembling a team of specialists to back him up that he solicits and recruits from the civilian population. Honestly a really good idea that can't stick around past this one arc because of status quo reasons. Instead it's foreshadowed that instead of a team of specialists with a great deal of experience in their fields, Batman will of course recruit a child.

????

Anyway, pretty good, worth reading.

Featuring a really unique art style, I rather enjoyed this opening issue.

Gordon and Batman are wrestling for authority with each other that sets up a rather intriguing dynamic and also what seems to be a squad of people to gelpWaune/Batman outside of the police force.

I'm no expert, but I recognise the name Freis. This run also appears to be a Mr. Freeze origin story. I'm excited to see where this heads.

Is a Dr. Freeze origin really necessary, especially one that spans 5 issues? Beyond that, the story's okay. The art is less than okay. I hope the story, at least, improves.
