No voy a mentir, la batalla final contra Aracne me ha parecido súper decepcionante pero es lo que hay... Medusa será la mejor villana, no hay duda.
Nos han dado una revelación muy importante que ya debían en torno a la muerte de B.J. que me resultó totalmente inesperado.
Ya lo que sí no me explico todavía es como el anime pudo saltarse este gran arco de la historia si es fabuloso.

Finalicé el arco del castillo de Baba Yaga (el más largo hasta ahora), y debo decir que, al contrario de Medusa, su hermana Arachne se me hizo una villana bastante plana, perooo… el plan final que tenía me terminó pareciendo interesante y tenía su giro de tuerca.
El cierre del arco me pareció muy acertado. Lo “malo” fue que resulta que Maka era super especial (por ahora sin sentido alguno, quizá sean los genes de la madre que todavía no nos presentaron) y tiene una habilidad re chetada que permitió salvar a todos. No me lo esperaba para nada de un prota de shonen de peleas!!! Igual, ya es algo a lo que uno se acostumbra, no me convence pero son los estándares que manejan en este tipo de historias y me parece entendible. Siento que por características como esta es que estoy eligiendo inconscientemente leer más Seinen que Shonen. Eso si, Soul tuvo un despliegue de iq excelente.
Además, en esta saga hubo momentos protagónicos de Black Star, Stein y Kidd que aportaron mucho a la trama. También, algo que me sorprendió, fue que mi power-up favorito fue de un antagonista y no el de uno de los del cast principal, no recuerdo una situación similar en alguna otra lectura que haya hecho.

Soul Eater, Vol. 15 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next five chapters (58–62) of the on-going manga series.
Arachne, assuming a disembodied spider-like form, immediately incapacitates Maka Albarn, Soul Evans, and Medusa. Arachne uses her madness wavelength to drive everyone at the facility insane, though Maka Albarn and Soul Evans counter with his soothing music transmitted through Maka Albarn's soul wavelength to everyone else via Arachne's own spider webs. Maka Albarn and Soul Evans use the "Demon Hunter" technique to kill Arachne and claim her soul. Medusa takes control of Arachne's discarded body and flees the castle after the monkey meister Enrique and his death scythe partner Tezca Tlipoca arrive from South America.
With the mission over, everyone returns to Death City to recover from the ordeal. Franken Stein and Marie Mjolnir confront Justin Law, the culprit who killed Joe Buttataki, but he is able to get away with the help of a magical artifact. After that, Shinigami creates a new Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA) elite squad called Spartoi, and Soul Evans, after re-obtaining 100 souls, finally becomes a death scythe by eating Arachne's soul.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Atsushi Ōkubo. It concludes the infiltration of Baba Yaga's castle – the headquarters for Arachnophobia. Arachne is finally defeated by the combined powers of Maka Albarn and Soul Evans, which eventually makes Soul Evans becoming a Death Scythe, because of capturing 100 souls and eating Arachne's soul.
All in all, Soul Eater, Vol. 15 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.

I knew the Manga would give us more than the anime, but holy subplots, Batman! I'm having a blast! There's so much more character development and intrigue building in these books.

I love the development of Makas and souls teamwork
Makas soul being powerful to protect against insanity and to latch itself onto insanity as-well is amazing
Soul able to replicate and expand it is amazing aswell
We also see the progression of their fight with the kishin
But rather a fight with eibon and insanity itself

I love this series for all the reasons I loved *Bleach* for awhile. It is so action-packed. Unlike *Bleach*, it stays action-packed and does not have the boring parts. It keeps getting better.

So now that the other battles are finished its time to focus on maka's group.
Apparently arachne left her body to become insanity itself, reminds me of the clown from before. Arachne tries to turn everyone insane through her spiderweb that connects to everyone in the area.
Soul gets the idea to play his piano through maka's wavelength into the spiderweb and it keeps everyone from going insane. It also hits arachne which incompasitate her. The finally defeat her and claim her soul.
Medusa, which was incompasitated for a bit, takes over arachne's body and runs when confronted by Enrique and tezca tlipoca.
We also meet up with Stein and Marie and they found bj's killer. Justin law. What the actual hell is that about? Why did he go against the DWMA? They battle but Justin gets away with some artifact.
It's not all bad news since soul gets to be a death scythe now and a whole new training regimen begins.
Onto the next book.

Even though I love the anime adaptation we have of Soul Eater, it is at times like these that I hope for a reboot of the anime. Some sort of Soul Eater Brotherhood. Since there are so many things that the anime didn't touch on. And so many of these moments would be extremely elevated by animation and especially the use of music.
To be honest I feel like right now seems like a really good time for a new Soul Eater anime. The creator's most recent manga, Fire Force coming to an end which also means that the anime for Fire Force will also be ending soon most likely. This means there's already buzz about the author. And there are also the Perfect Editions of Soul Eater releasing right now meaning there is most likely more buzz than usual around Soul Eater. Since a new edition will probably be bringing back old fans and maybe also bringing in new ones.
So, ya really hoping for a new anime adaptation.

Don't mind me, I'm just casually re-reading the entire manga for the 5th time or so because A) it's one of my comfort series and I need all the comfort I can get right now, B) I own the entire thing physically so it's right there, and C) everyone is talking about fall/ Halloween reads and SE fits that to a T.
Gonna give all the volumes 5 stars as a default. There's plenty I could complain about if I wanted, namely the unnecessary fanservice/ weird sexualization of teen characters, but I'm not gonna do that right now. It pops up rarely enough that I can just pretend it doesn't exist.

I really liked this manga. It was intriguing from start to finish. Wow what a change of situation. I can't wait to continue reading!

Arachne fight was pretty cool as the idea of her becoming a living mass of insanity is pretty Lovecraftian idea. And I do like they keep finding ways for Soul's music skills to be relevant this time having him play to cancel out the insanity which is a pretty fitting way of fighting madness off. Also it is so cool to see Soul and Maka to achieve their dream at the end of it and the the reveal about the next villains is great.

The attack on Arachne is finally over and I'm left feeling unfulfilled. It took over 3 books to resolve that mission and the climax was lacking in substance. Maka and Soul are total badasses though, as they always are. The chapters after that don't really move the plot forward. Overall, I was just bored with this volume.

Oh this was such a good volume! Maka is such a fantastic character and I love seeing her beat the hell out of her opponents. It's so refreshing to see the main, most dangerous character is a girl and still maintain femininity. This volume really shows its divergence from the anime and I'm already loving the changes in the storyline.

This volume is actually making me hope for betterment in the rest of this series because lately, we've been having a very good improvement. So, not only is Patty super awesome, and I love her, but Soul is now a death scythe!! yyooo!!

Some interesting story and character development but I’m slowly losing interest in this series. Whilst it is enjoyable, it isn’t as engaging as I remembered. Also, why are the orbs missing from above DWMA? Is it kid’s absence?

A quick and enjoyable read. Definitely better than the anime at this point in the story.
