The last place Matt Jordan wants to be is his ex-girlfriend’s wedding, and halfway through the reception, he’s already looking for a way out. When Riley Evans, the younger sister of his ex, offers him just that, he takes it, not knowing what Riley has in store for him.

Riley was always the little sister, but she’s not so little anymore. In fact, she’s all grown up, completely sexy, and she wants Matt. So he tells himself it’ll just be one fun night, and that no one ever has to know. But something about Riley draws him in, and as the night progresses, he realizes he doesn’t want to say goodbye.

But Riley has a past, and letting Matt in beyond a one-night stand isn’t something she wants. He slowly realizes that it's not going to be easy to convince her to take a chance with him. He’s going to have to fight for what he wants, because at the end of the day, he just wants Riley, and he'll stop at nothing to make her see that.

There's just something about Monica Alexander's books that are so engaging to me. I think it's easy to relate to the characters because they all feel like real people you'd know and be friends with or want to be friends with.

I liked Matt and Riley's story. It was sweet, but not over the top. It just made me feel good and was a nice escape from the real world for a while. And that's really the reason why I like to read.

I liked this story because it is something I can totally see happening. You grow up loving someone and think you've got it all figured out only to be reminded in a very public way that you were wrong. And then the now of age little sister shows up and rocks your world. I loved the 2 characters, but I wish we had learned more about them.

As I read Riley's revelation to Matt, I thought, 'wow...now we can see the other side of this type lifestyle'. I really wanted to see the progression of someone who goes from being someone's property to being completely cut out of their life. But we didn't get to dive deep into Riley's aftermath and I really would have liked that.

I also felt that Matt fell too easily for someone so against it in the first place. I thought his feelings were a little manufactured because I just don't see it happening so quick. Even with all the history.

Not my favorite Monica Alexander book, but all of her's are must reads for me so even if I don't totally LOVE it, I always enjoy her characters and storylines.
