Noah and Grace's happy ever after hits a stumbling block in the form of one shady professor threatening Noah's scholarship eligibility. Noah is given the choice of throwing his New Year's MMA fight for a big payoff or accepting that the true meaning of love isn't measured by the thickness of his wallet but the depth of Grace's big heart.

Grace and Noah's story begged for a peak inside their Happy Ever After. Originally published in the anthology Snow Kissed, this holiday novella speaks to the great gifts one person can give to another -- unconditional love.

No está mal saber un poco más sobre la pareja protagonista del primer libro de esta serie, pero sumisión... ¿de verdad? Me ha parecido que no pega ni con cola aquí.

Follow-up book of Undeclared (Woodlands #1):

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

This book is like a longish epilogue. Quick skim of it & missing nothing. Basically H just continuing to prove his financial worth to h by getting over-busy with his froyo business + his finance degree + his MMA fighting. He met her family which set off more of his money issues. He wised up from her bro's wise words, when they finally met after H proposed to h. Epilogue years later with H&h with 2 sons & H rich from doing a private funding management of their friends' money. 1 of their sons married the daugther of H's BFF.

This was my first time listening to an audiobook and I must say it was good experience. The story was pretty decent but what really made the experience for me was the male narrator's voice. I loved his drawl, very sexy.

This is a cute series about a former marine and the girl who wrote him letters. It’s the ending to their chapter of the series and a very quick read. Noah and Grace are interesting characters and have a sweet story. If you’re into college and or military romance stories this is the series for you.

I like this series and all the characters. This book felt a bit rushed toward the end, but was still a nice addition to the series.

Original review: A Novel Glimpse

Undressed is a continuation of Grace and Noah's relationship from Undeclared. It gives you a look at Grace's home life, Noah's fighting career and their struggles to overcome Noah's need to provide a lot of money to keep Grace. If you loved Noah and Grace in Undeclared, you will probably love this novella. My biggest complaint was that it ended abruptly and then had a huge time jump in the epilogue.

I'm one of those romance lovers that once I find a couple I'm invested in that I want their story to just keep going. I used to be an AVID General Hospital fan. It's like that. I want my couples to keep sharing stuff from their lives with me. As long as they STAY together and never WAVER I want to keep reading about them. So when my favorite authors throw me sweet little gems like this.

I dance!!! I sing!! I am so freaking happy!

I loved this sexy novella so much. I am telling you that Noah is 100% perfection and I loved his loyalty, bravery and possessiveness and how much he LOVED Grace. This was a perfect addition and I'm just about convinced that Jen is always going to be an author that will check all my boxes and keep her romances as they should be LOVE STORIES..strong loyal men and the women that bring them to their knees!
Keep writing Jen you are on fire!!

This was a novella about Noah spending the holidays with Grace's family at her uncle's mansion. It was ok.

There were so many factors that got squished into this one tiny story. Grace's family's weirdness and her aunt's meanness to be more precise. They need to medicate that woman. She's vicious to Lana who just has to deal with her mother's venom. I swear I'd drug her daily. Give her some of what Grace's mother takes. That'll calm her down.

Josh, Grace's brother, met Noah for the first time and it turned out ok after a snafu with Josh catching Noah talking to a skank at a party. Noah was completely innocent, but it looked a bit shady.

One of Noah's professor's tried to blackmail him into throwing his big New Years Eve fight so that the professor could make bank to do a bit of insider trading. Apparently this professor has a habit of blackmailing students for a better grade. He made Noah feel powerless for about a minute, and that was 59 seconds too long. He got his in the end.

Lastly, Noah's own low self esteem issues where Grace is concerned. He doesn't think he's good enough cause he can't buy her what he thinks she should have. Josh had a nice conversation about that and set Noah straight. Josh is a cool dude. Like him a lot.

There was a lovely epilogue at the end and it was perfect and led into the Charlotte Chronicles. (Looking forward to reading that). All in all, it was an ok read, just not as great as Undeclared. But still good.

I jumped from book 1 straight into this one and... I liked it, don't get me wrong, but I kinda wish I'd read the others in the series first since it gives away something a little big in one of the later books. No, let me rephrase that. I go into these books expecting an HEA for the characters, so I wasn't surprised that a couple in a later book ended up together, but I do wish I'd read this novella after I'd read their story.

It makes sense in my head. Move along.

I did like this, let me be clear. Noah and Grace had a few issues they needed to work out. Namely, Noah's insecurities around Grace's money. Considering how he'd grown up dirt poor, it's understandable, but I could see it causing friction down the road if it wasn't addressed.

And it was. So, yay!

We got to see Grace's HIGHLY dysfunctional family and have some sexy times with Noah and Grace. It was basically a win all around.

For the record, I'll be reading book 2 mighty soon. For reasons.

You are probably aware that I love this series, so color me happy when I stumbled across this little novella featuring one of my favorite couples, Noah and Grace.

Oh Noah

I loved this short story, delving deeper into the minds of Noah and Grace with some surprising insights into both of their psyches. Yes Grace I completely agree with you, you can get some amazing ideas from reading books ;)

I’m not going into details about the plot as I think the synopsis does that enough to give an understanding of the trials and tribulations facing this wonderful couple. However, I will say that this story does add another layer to their relationship and is a must for any fan of the series.

One thing I have to mention is the cameo appearance by Grace’s brother, Josh. OH BOY. I really, really want him to get his own story *begs Jen*

I Just finished the audiobook of Undeclared, when I found the continuation of Grace and Noah’s story and had to have it!  This is one of those quick little reads that ties up all the little loose ends you really didn’t need tied up, but it’s so nice to have it.  You get to see what happens after the HAE; I was not disappointed one bit, the loves scenes between Grace and Noah are pretty freaking HOT! You do get some spoilers to Unspoken and The Charlotte Chronicles, but it only makes you want to read those stories! Overall; I really enjoyed Undressed and I am giving it 4 Boundless Stars, I just may go and start the other now. I am intrigued.....Sara

As the blurb mentions, Noah is pressured by a professor to throw a fight and while he's disgusted at the thought, he's equally tempted to do it in order to have enough money to be worthy of Grace. This especially hits home for him when he accompanies Grace to her home for Christmas and sees the wealth that she's accustomed to.

I didn't realize how necessary this epilogue thingy was until I'd read it. This is what was needed for me to end the last story with confidence that these guys could have an HEA. The yogurt shop is back in play (after seemingly being dropped at the end of the first book) and Noah finally gets his head on straight about needing money. So I liked that this finally gave that closure and I am more willing to believe they could have an HEA. This also benefited from more or less removing the whole "college lifestyle" since most of it is spent off campus. What I didn't care for was the lack of safety. A 19 year old girl in college (and especially her "more mature" boyfriend) should not be playing games of fate with protection and pregnancy. There supposedly thought out decision to stop using protection and just "see what happens" while she's in her sophomore year of college was REALLY stupid. This is especially true since they JUST got their heads on straight and neither of them is in a position to be caring for a baby...but then what does HER future career and long-awaited dream of art school really matter? At least Gah. Nearly ruined it for me.

Noah still doesn't feel like he measures up to Grace even though for Grace he is enough. Noah just wants to be able to keep Grace in the life style she grew up in. His chance at some big money is a fight he knows he can win. He is given an ultimatum from his professor that could jeopardize his chances.
Loved this book and the epilogue was just the ending it needed.

Loved it! Definitely don't read it at 1.5, though. It has a "years later" ending that tell conclusions of other stories in the series.

Undressed (Woodlands #1.5)
By: Jen Frederick
5/5 stars

I first bought & read this when it was in the Holiday Anthology set Snow Kissed. But it was good enough that I bought it again for just $0.99! And it’s still just as good as the first time I read it.

Noah & Grace are still making their relationship work, even though Noah is still insecure about his lack of wealth as compared to Grace’s wealth. Grace goes out of her way to make sure that Noah doesn’t feel bad around her or insecure when he’s with her. Grace truly does not care about the monetary differences between her and Noah. She loves him and only wants him, any way that he comes to her.

Grace & Noah are still in college, and Noah keeps extra busy training for his upcoming MMA fights, with the yogurt business he bought and has plans to franchise, getting his business degree and spending time with Grace. And Grace is busy with her classes, Noah, and getting everything ready to spend Christmas with her & Lana’s family, go to Noah’s fight and then go to her brother, Josh’s college football bowl game.

When a professor tries to blackmail Noah into throwing his huge fight, this just increases all the pressure that he feels about his current lifestyle & the one he wants to provide for Grace and all the possible consequences that either decision about the fight, would have on their future.

Josh keeps it real with Noah and helps him see things from Grace’s POV and the real effects that his issues could have on their relationship. He helps Noah open his eyes to the real beauty of Grace’s acceptance.

The epilogue takes place “many years later” & gives a minor spoiler about who the characters for book 2 will be & how their lives are in the future. But since book 2 is already out and the synopsis & reviews can be read, it’s not a spoiler that the book is about Bo & AnnMarie and they eventually have an HEA.

In this follow-up novella to Frederick's UNDECLARED, young lovers Grace and Noah find their relationship challenged by Noah's financial and personal insecurities.

I enjoyed UNDECLARED and was eager to read this mini-sequel. The characters are still interesting and believable, especially Lana. Grace and Noah still have crackling chemistry. The dialog is snappy and spirited. Lots of conflict in the first half. Noah is definitely a fish out of water during their holiday visit to Grace's wealthy uncle's home.

There's a pacing problem here. The plot isn't developed enough, even for a novella. So though the piece starts out well, the ending is rushed and more summary than story. There's no attention given to Grace's mother, aunt and uncle as real people. The aunt is made out to be some kind of nasty predator, but even that isn't explored fully. And it isn't only the new characters who suffer from speed-pacing in UNDRESSED. Noah--our hero--has lost his steel. He's whiny and so obsessed with being a "have not" surrounded by "haves" he's almost unattractive.

There's an epilogue that does little other than ruin the rest of the Woodlands series. It basically tells us the plot and ending of Book 3. Seriously, by the end of this I was so bored of successful billionaires, I could weep. All the hot, interesting, REAL guys from UNDECLARED are reduced to Wall Street Wonders. I'm all for fantasy and wish fulfillment but this takes all the raw honesty of the first book and turns it to AT HOME WITH THE KARDASHIANS' NICER NEIGHBORS.

I'm still looking forward to UNRAVELED (book 3) but I need to take a break and forget the ending of this novella if I'm going to have any chance of enjoying it.

You meet Noah Jackson and Grace Sullivan in Undeclared. Now you get to see how they find time for each other, classes, Noah’s training, friends and family. Undressed is a follow-up of that story.

Noah is trying to prepare for an upcoming New Year’s Eve fight, meeting Grace’s family and dealing with a situation from his advisor. Tensions arise as Noah thinks he must make as much money as Grace’s family but Grace only wants him, not the things he could give her.

When the opponent Noah is supposed to fight changes, can Noah accept that it is money that is the most important thing in life but instead the unwavering belief and undying love Grace has for him?
I love the Woodland Series, these boys are sexy, sweet, and kind but also have their own personal demons. Yet they work through them for the women they love beyond anything.

I love how Noah goes through this metamorphosis in the story and how Grace tries to show him, he is all she needs. Grace also goes through a few small changes with letting Noah have even more control in the bedroom, but nothing makes her love or her belief in Noah waver at all. Can Noah let go of his past issues and accept Grace for what she has?

I would definitely recommend this book!! I would suggest reading the first one if you haven’t yet.

Compared to the first time we met Noah and Grace the hot meter got way hotter. Grace I liked how she became more bold, to me in the first book she was timid, that is not the case this time around, "they sexy look made my semi harden further. Good thing the zipper was already down. "Maybe you need a different kind of massage." Grace pressed her hand more firmly against my, and I felt my d*** pulse in response." As you can tell we get Noah's point of view as well as Grace's. Noah is still caring but we see a more alpha side of him, "baby, you're cold. Let me clean you up." My girl needed to get under the covers. I pulled up one side of the comforter and then rolled off the bed, heading to the bathroom." We also see a more animal side to Noah, "her inner thighs had streaks of come on them and part of me didn't want to wipe them away. Part of me, the Neanderthal part, wanted to scoop every swimmer up and push them back inside of her." I'm hope Jen does a little novella with Bo and Gray in their point of views because honestly I love these boys, and maybe Josh can get a book to.

I didn't know I would enjoy their story this much. This novella was more focus on Noah than Grace, which was a good thing. I'm glad he finally overcame his flaw of thinking that he wasn't have enough money to deserve Grace.

However, I don't like that the author put a story of their son in this book. I normally like that kind of HEA. Just the first few years of his life would be okay, but the fact that I haven't read the second book, Bo's story, and I had to find out in this book that Noah and Grace's would marry Bo's daughter. That was way ahead of what I should know. It would ruin my excitement and anticipation when I read it.

Anyway, Noah and Grace's story was one of the books I really enjoyed reading this year. And I like Lana and Josh. I hope they would get their own books in the future. I'd love to know more about them.

Undressed was a follow up Novella to Undeclared. It was a quick and easy read, continuing with Noah Jackson and Grace Sullivan exactly where Undeclared left off. Although it can be read at any time, for the greatest enjoyment, it should be read between the third and fourth book of the series, Unraveled and Unrequited.

The purpose of Undressed's story appeared to be a bridge between the first book, Undeclared, and the epilogue. Therefore, the epilogue was the most appealing part of the book. It caught us up over the years and introduced us to the children; which paved the way for The Charlotte Chronicles, the first book in the Jackson Boys series.

For me, the book was unnecessary; however, as Noah and Grace are truly favorites, and it was a short story, it was an appealing and pleasurable read.

1.5 stars rounded to 2. This was not as well written as book 1. Noah was really sappy in this one and started sounding like a girl. I also think that this would have been better if it was combined with the first book instead of separating it out into a novella. Since I didn't care too much about Noah to begin with, I didn't find this compelling either. That's the one phrase I would use to describe Noah and Grace, not compelling. It's a shame. I was hoping for another great series by Jen Frederick.

Short story/novella follow up to Undeclared, first book in this series. It features the same couple, Grace and Noah, and begins about 4 months after the end of book 1. Not bad just not great. If your novella needs an epilogue, in this case a 5 page epilogue that covers 25 years or so of their lives, then maybe another book was needed rather than a follow on short. This hurt my opinion about this couple rather than helped it-didn't buy in to where their relationship progressed to after only 4 months.
