There are moments in all our lives when we become Entangled in situations over which we seem to have no control, and are unable to understand the direction that we are being taken. The stories within Entangled show that there is always hope; always a reason for certain events that happen as well as a way back to a safer place. In The Gift, a teenage runaway gains help from a stranger who shows her what may be the ultimate gift. A lone walker meets the mysterious yet beautiful Severine, an artist who lives and works deep in a forest, and uses unusual materials in her work. The ghosts of former owners wait within the silent corridors of Greystoke for a new owner to release them, whilst childhood memories and a hidden secret draws someone back to a much loved coastline in Crenin Point. The wishes and secrets within ourselves are brought to the fore by the visitors who enter the foreboding Granton House, and the collection ends with the arrival of Ethan, sent to re-shape the lives of certain people before the birth of a child. Sometimes in life we just need to believe...

Entangled is a wonderful selection of 6 short and dark tales each born from the very creative mind of Travis Little. This his first book (and I personally believe it will not be his last) but it certainly doesn't read with the air of a debut author it has aspects in the book that would attract all kinds of readers...yes it's tales may be dark but he's written them in such a way that beams of light emanate from deep inside the words. To choose a favourite tale from the 6 is very hard, but if I had to I would push the boat out and say 'Greystoke'... Very James Herbert and very very good. I will certainly look forward to what ever else comes from Mr Little's mind.

An enjoyable collection of dark tales. The characters in the stories are very down to earth and believable. I found them easy to relate to and as each story progressed, I was often apprehensive to turn the page as I was fearful about what might happen to them. I enjoyed all the stories but my two favourites were Crenin Point and Granton House. This is definitely a book that I would pick up and read again and again. I am really looking forward to more work from Travis Little!!
