Scotland's Stories: Hope

Rate this book
Hope is the promise of a brighter future. It’s not blind faith that things will work out in the end, it’s the trust we place in ourselves and those around us, that the choices we make in difficult moments will lead us to better times. That the path we are on, and our story, matter.

This is such a gem of a book. I always enjoy the Scottish Book Trust's publications, and the pieces in this edition was lovely in how they explored the different meanings of hope, and how it interacts with us in the real world. Startlingly intimate, it provides an insight into so many individuals' lives, and it reminds me why I'm grateful to live in Scotland.

Mixed bag as always, but I really value these free books with Scots writing in them. Several of the stories and poems I shared with friends.
