The pucking arrangement by A J Summers. What an amazing book. Was so good I pre ordered my own copy for my collection. A must read truly something different. I have read many NHL books but never a combination of ice hockey and classical instrumental, the cello vs the puck. Erin is a cello player making a name for her self.
Its a story of a NHL Defender Dmitry that is a widower and a single dad. Read book 1 Liam and Sophie's first, it gives alot of background information to truly resignate with book 2.
Dmitry needs a temp nanny to help with his daughter Ris and Erin, Liams sister Erin has time before she writes her final exams. She moves in and oh boy!! Trouble. Dmitry still working through the loss of Elena finds himself in a bind by having to fight his desire and feelings for Erin, he really tries hard but love and attraction can only by fought for so long, her music speaks to him. His daughter loves Erin and wants to keep her, like thats so easy.
Its a push and pull until finally Dmitry cant keep away from Erin and a powerful love story unfolds. There dynamics, how to navigate this love how to make it forever. Its was absolutely beautiful!! The spice the connection the chemistry Wow!!
A J Summers is so talented this author amazes me to how she can write her powerful dark romance novels about the Bratva to her NHL hockey romances. Unbelievable talented. I have read all her books and I am so looking forward to Finn and Jessica book... the anticipation!!! And if I may, for some reason I think Jenna and Adam will be after, just a feeling.
If you are looking for an amazing series unfolding, look no further. This book is 10 🌟
Thank you for the ARC because I just could not wait until the release, it was absolutely amazing and I cant wait for the next.

Man, I've been planning to read this one since May and I have been so behind on my readings and the reviews! But I always knew I was going to come back to this one. AND I'm so glad I did. Dmitri and Erin's story is so special. Losing his wife and being a widowed father was so sad to see. It was honestly really endearing to read that he stayed faithful to his wife, Elena, until Erin came into the picture. And Erin only came into the picture when Erin was enjoying what she does for a living and Erin and his daughter Ris connected. From that moment, it was like time stood still for both of them. Although, it was definitely him noticing her rather than the other way around. I thought that was so sweet. I wanted to kick a wall whenever she left to go on tour with Luka and hadn't told Dmitri how she felt about him and Ris. BUT SOOOOO glad they found their way back to each other. I'm attaching a few of my favorite moments below! When she said "I need help. I need Jesus." I died laughing LOLOLOL.
Erin talking with Dmitri POV: “You are very,” his voice drops an octave, rich and dark, vibrating through me like the low hum of a string section, “confident.” “You say that like it’s a bad thing.” “Perhaps.” His mouth curves, slow and sinful. His gaze flicks up, tracing the curve of my shoulders, the slope of my neck, like he’s savoring every inch. “Or perhaps you simply need someone to—” “Papa!” Amneris tugs on his sleeve, yanking us both back to reality. “Can I learn to play the cello? Please? I’ll practice every day!” The moment shatters, and I want to scream in frustration. Someone to what, Dmitri? Worship me? Wreck me? Pin me against the nearest wall and make me forget my own name? I need help. I need Jesus. I need a cold shower, a change of underwear, and possibly an exorcism. Dmitri blinks, like he’s just waking up from something he wasn’t supposed to be lost in. He takes a step back, the shift so abrupt, it leaves me dizzy. The stern father mask slides into place so fast, it’s almost like the last thirty seconds never happened.
Erin talking with Luka POV: Luka leans back, satisfied. “Then tell him that.” He swirls the last of his wine. “The idiot probably thinks you’re choosing your career over him. Men are very dramatic about these things.” I huff out something between a scoff and a laugh. “Says the most dramatic person I know.” “Exactly. I’m an expert.” He grins, lifting his glass in a toast. “To Dmitri Sokolov, the lucky bastard who’s managed to capture Erin O’Connor’s heart. May he have the good sense to realize what he has.” I hesitate, my fingers tightening around my glass. “He’s not mine,” I whisper, but the words feel flimsy. Like I don’t even believe them anymore. Luka tilts his head, studying me, his usual teasing replaced with something quieter. “Then why do you look like you’re waiting for him to stop you?”
Dmitri POV: She turns in my arms, eyes bright in the dim light. “Marko asked me about next year.” “I heard.” My fingers trace idle patterns on her arm. “What did you say?” “That I’d think about it.” She studies my face. “Would that be okay? Coming back? Maybe for longer?” The question hangs between us, weighted with all the complications we’ve yet to navigate. My season. Her tour. The logistics of a life split between continents. “Okay?” I echo, pulling her closer. “Solnyshko, it’s more than okay. It’s what this was always about. You, doing what you love. Us, finding a way to make it work.”
He’s her brother’s best friend. She’s his daughter’s nanny. Falling in love was never part of the play.
The Pucking Arrangement brings all the heat, heart, and emotional tension you crave in a slow-burn sports romance. Dmitri Solokov is a widowed Russian hockey player and devoted single dad just trying to keep his life on track—until Erin, his teammate’s younger sister and a talented cellist, becomes his daughter’s live-in nanny. What starts as a favor turns into something dangerously magnetic.
The chemistry between Dmitri and Erin is off the charts—charged with stolen glances, lingering touches, and a growing emotional pull neither can ignore. Erin is bright, sassy, and utterly refreshing, while Dmitri is brooding, protective, and unexpectedly tender. Their love story unfolds like a symphony, full of tension, longing, and explosive release—while skating the thin line of loyalty and desire under her brother’s watchful eye.
With steamy moments, heartfelt depth, and a perfect blend of hockey grit and musical soul, this book is impossible to put down. A total win for fans of forbidden love, single dad heroes, and slow burns that burn. A must-read for hockey romance fans!
A well written and dual narrated hockey romance read. Our main characters hockey defender, and single dad Dmitri and hockey captain's baby sister Erin. There is an instant attraction between these two but dating a player's baby sister is more off limits than most anything but when Dmitri finds himself in a bind needing someone to take care of his lil girl, a favor is asked and Erin steps in as a temporary solution. Only the close quarters make the attraction undeniable to them both and obvious to everyone. A sweet and steamy romance with all the back and forth of a couple trying to have it all and thinking they know what the other is thinking and feeling without the communication. A HEA is had which was well done and a lead up to another couple finding love is teased at the end of this one. Overall, I very much enjoyed the storyline, characters and narration and would love to listen to more!

This book had the elements I like when I read a hockey romance. The hero and heroine, Dmitri and Erin, had super chemistry that tingled. (Or I should say, I tingled. TMI?) There were touches of humor. And the heroine, a cellist, was successful in her own right. Both were very intelligent. And Dmitri wasn’t just said to be Russian; his life included elements of Russian culture. Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Dmitri and Erin Genre- Sports Romance (hockey) Genre- Arts Romance (cello) Playlist? Y Safety? Y Triggers- on-ice violence. Tropes- Instalove, Adorable Moppet, Single Dad, Brother’s Teammate, Nanny/Caregiver, Love After Loss Heat- Open Door, C Word. I can’t emphasize enough the pure sizzle between this couple. And when he did the celly- *le sigh*.

Dmitri Solokov is a powerful defenseman for the NY based NHL team, Defenders. He is Russian, a widower, and father to a 6 year old daughter. He is also best friends with Liam O'Connor, Captain of the Defenders and hero of the first book in the series. Erin, a 24 year old brilliant cellist, is Liam's sister. She volunteers to act as a temporary nanny for the child. This starts their turbulent love story. This is a longer book than normal for the author. The lovers' silent struggles for each other could have been shortened, but overall, it is an interesting and entertaining book. I recommend it and look forward to future books in the series as Finn and Jessica seem to be next up.
Hockey romance at it best. Hockey romance had become my favorite genre. This book did not disappoint. We follow Dmitri and Erin try to resist what they feel and how it grows. This book had some emotional points but in the end it was worth it. Their love was slow burn with passion. This book made me feel like I was at the hockey game watching the plays happen as I read the book. Great book for hockey and romance
This was my first in the series. I have to go bank and start at the beginning. I can not wait to see where this takes us next.

I loved Dmitri and Erin's story! I loved their dynamic. And their connection. I loved how Erin connected with Dmitri's daughter as well. Their story was filled with amazing connections, and some great character growth as well...
I loved Shane Martinez's narration. Jaxon Jensen also did a good job, but his audio was very tinny/echo-y which distracted from his POV quite a bit. Also, while Jaxon's russian accent was great, it was limited to actual dialogue only, and not to the full POV, which was also slightly disappointing.
Overall a great story, and a fun listen...

One of the best nanny/boss romances! Dmitri is rough with a soft spot for his daughter while Erin is sweet and nurturing but out to break him. Together they are the perfect balance. They had this push and pull game trying to break the other and when it finally does it's explosive. (Also loved the reference to the elephant and piggy book, too cute!). Had the perfect balance of sweet innocent moments with hot and steamy moments. Highly recommend if you enjoy slow burn!

AJ just wrote one heck of a steamy hockey romance book right here. It is filled with intense passion, irresistible chemistry, and some of the most unforgettable characters ever. So, trust me when I say that this romance book as well as all of AJ's other books will have you diving deep into some really great emotional connections with sizzling tension, and heart-stopping romance that keeps you hooked from start to finish. I recommend ALL of AJ's romance books because I have read every single one of them and they all are AMAZING 10 star reads.
I was given a free copy in exchange for my honest review. This is my 6th hockey romance by A.J. Summers and by far the best. when I tell you I was so emotionally invested, it's beyond words. I devoured this book and would've gotten through it quicker if i didn't have to adult. I enjoyed the book so much I was texting my husband about how destroyed i was way before I reached the end! I highly recommend The pucking Arrangement.
He's a single dad who falls first for his best friend/team mates younger sister, need I say more?
A hockey captain loses his grip when his nanny quits—and his best friend’s sister steps in. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.
Dmitri and Erin share a slow-burn, heartfelt romance wrapped in cello strings and bedtime stories. Sweet moments melt into steamy ones, with just the right amount of forbidden tension. A tender, passionate love story with endearing charm and playoff pressure. I love the quote about music being math you can hear.
The Pucking Arrangement already melted both my heart and my Kindle— again with the audiobook, which made the experience even more intense. 😫🥵🥵
Dimitri’s voice? Hotter. The narration? Flawless. The tension? Still absolutely maddening. I could listen to this again and again.
Dmitri, a Russian hockey player and single dad, finds himself tangled up with his teammate’s little sister, Erin—a gifted cellist turned nanny. Their chemistry? Pure fire. Tension, unspoken feelings, and steamy moments that will leave you blushing.
This one was longer than I expected. I enjoyed the first half more than the rest. The cute celebratory gesture, for instance made me smile. I guess I am not into musicians or whatever.... Erin and the cello scenes were written well, but I did not personally feel all the things. I cheered when Dmitri finally gave in - whew it was sexy. But by the 60-70% mark I was getting tired of the lack of communication. The 'what if he thinks this is temporary and doesn't want me...' Ugh that got old. The side characters finally talked some sense into the main couple.
Hold onto your dreams. A tale full of hockey and music trying to get thru a few weeks. An instant connection at a casual meeting. A simple favor to cover for a nanny called away for a family emergency. The chance to earn some extra money. A professional arrangement. Heated glances. Lots of flirting. Plenty of tension. Loads of buildup. Full of action. New opportunities emerge and threaten a delicate balance. A book that will have you reaching for it with the hope it will never end.
Dimitri and Erin. Her brothers teammate. Single dad. She'll watch his daughter. What could go wrong. That big blurry line of course. This is a story with warm and toasty feelings. The chemistry is swoony romantic. Great charecters and all the secondary ones are entertaining. Their tension is so so delicious. The banter. Theres humor. All around great story.

This is a dual point of view written forbidden love story. We have Dimitry, the widowed single serious dad. Then we have Erin, the sinfully amazing cellist. Oh and did I mention her brother, Liam is the captian of the team and Dimitri’s bestie?!
When Dimitri’s sitter has a family emergency Liam kindly volunteers his sister Erin to watch Ris, Dimitri’s daughter. The tension and chemistry is so real. What could possibly go wrong?!
The chemistry is amazing in this book. Single, Russian, hockey dad. The nick names, the demands the brooding, the love and cinnamon roll for Erin and Ris. But the whole book until almost is no communication. It gets a bit annoying - I mean the love comes off the pages but time after time the both just say bye, the HEA was good and I could have kept reading all about them.
Loved this one! The sexual tension and emotional pull between Dmitri and Erin was so well written, not to mention the chemistry and the SPICE!
Audiobook narrators Shane Martinez and Jaxon Jensen was very well done. Occasionally, there was a weird echo sound during Jensen's chapters, but not the entire book.
Just found A J Summers and these hockey romance series. I am a fan.

I love a good hockey romance and this one did not disappoint. The broody hunky single dad Dmitri meets his captain’s little sister Erin. Who enchants him with her cello playing and how she interacts with his daughter. She’s off limits but he can’t stay away. They are steamy together 🔥🔥🔥. Loved it!
I like to read hockey romances and this was my 3rd by A J Summers. Those always are well written - with great, well developed characters and their chemistry and deep passion. Loved characters and their story. Nanny and her Boss. Funny, steamy and so exciting! Enjoyed it so much!

This romance is so so good. The strong and principal characters are well written, the relationship between Dimitri and Erin is pure gold, lots of back and forth that will make you laugh and cry, they are so intense. You won’t be able to put it down, enjoy it. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This second-chance romance has great MCs, a sweet little girl, attraction, chemistry, a lack of communication, and supportive friends and family. I enjoyed this entertaining and engaging romance. There are great secondary characters who deserve their own books.

I believe this is the first novel I have read by AJ Summers. I was blown away by the perfection of her storytelling! I was immediately drawn in and couldn’t love, Erin and Dimitri more! What a great love story. The depth of the writing was remarkable. I highly recommend this book and cant wait to read more by this author.
There's plenty of steam to this hockey romance. Erin, who is the team captain's sister, agrees to be Dimitri as nanny and there are instant sparks. Plenty of flirty push/pull!.

Dmitri and Erin’s book is so good! I love how the story was written. When they meet up there is an instant attraction. As always I love how this author writes hockey books. I cannot wait until the next book is released! Definitely recommend!
Sports romance that continues with interconnected characters makes you ease into the hockey world once again. Dmitri and Erin have their own slow burn spicy romance with a single-dad element. Enjoy
It took me longer to read due to my busy schedule but I fell in love with this story. It’s amazing how some men fall for only one or two women in life and don’t spend it trying to conquer all. Very inspiring story. Highly recommend
