I stopped awhile ago but picked it up again because I really needed something to read.

It was ok. The damaged, angry hero act that Jarret had going in the beginning was annoying. He was a downright asshole for awhile. Then we find his tragic backstory which was a bit much.

And maybe because I'm reading this in 2020, not the 90's when it was written, but I kept thinking that since he was her boss he shouldn't have been sleeping with her in the first place! No, her dying in the fire was not his fault, but I mean, a no strings relationship with a woman whose paycheck he's in control of and he wonders why it went bad when he dumps her after two years of using her for sex? Yeah. Right. Ew.

The child was over the top adorable and well adjusted despite her life, like most Mallery children are. But unrealistic children seem to be common in most Romance stories I've read, not just Mallery.

It was an ok read and would have been 3 stars but then around 3/4 of the way through I got to the sex scene and that knocked it down for me.

So, Fallon was a virgin. No hint of that before. I admit I don't like virgin Romances but mainly because so often - like Mallery - it's just fetishized in such a gross way with phrases like "her precious gift".

The sex is great but then Jarret realizes Fallon was a virgin and virginity is such a huge deal in his mind that suddenly he's back to being an utter asshole. Like, to the point where you wonder why she wants to be with him.

And final, stupid comment, but why did she take the necklace when she left? Seems to me with all her talk of paying him back, and the way he left things with them, she'd have left that behind. Just a stupid little detail that annoys me.

Ugh. I really am not enjoying these older Mallery books. Her newer ones are hit or miss for me, but her older ones are pretty bad. But at the same time, I just need something to read and my library seems to have every one she ever wrote so . . . on to the next one I guess.

Fallon Bedford goes on vacation to a tropical island, falls asleep on a beach, wakes up being bashed into rocks, passes out, and ends up on another beach with amnesia. Her rescuer is a wealthy guy who doesn't buy her story, thinking she's a gold digger looking at a way to trap him. Jarrett Wilkenson is the CEO of a resort empire, and new guardian of his young niece. She convinces him to let Fallon stay until they figure out who she is, since the kid is bored all by herself. Of course, Fallon and Jarrett become interested in each other, yada, yada, yada. The writing wasn't very good and the story was pretty weak and predictable. 2.5 stars.

Talk about third time lucky! After the first two mediocre books in this series, the final one is a real gem! I really liked the H and h, Jarret and Fallon (a.k.a. Ariel) and I adored Anna Jane, Jarret's orphaned niece who brought them together. It all starts with a message in a bottle!

Despite my detailed reviews of the first two books, I'm not going to give away any details of this one, I'll leave it to the readers to just enjoy the story, it's a winner!

The third in the triplet series, this one is probably the best of the three (I'll have to re-read them in order to be sure) in spite of the fact that it uses the old plot device number 21 - amnesia. Ordinarily I don't care for that one, but this book did a pretty good job and she got her memory back in the middle of the book, so I didn't have to put up with it for too long. It also had a child, Anna Jane, who has lost her parents and is trying to adjust to an uncle, a totally different environment than she is used to, and no kids to play with. In steps Fallon Bedford, the third of the triplets who played Sally McGuire in the TV show, befriends the little girl and gives her uncle unsolicited advice on raising a child without knowing why she should know what he should do. She's lost her memory, remember? The uncle is Jarrett Wilkenson, a hotel mogul, constantly sought for his money and wary of women. Good elements for a good story.

My favorite of the triplet books, this one is about the eldest, Fallon, who arrives for a Caribbean vacation ahead of her family & finds herself on a quest to help a little girl find a friend to play with. Along the way, she develops amnesia, is found by the girl, taken to the big house, and meets the resort's owner Jarrett Wilkenson -- who has no idea how to regard either his niece (the girl) or Fallon. Really liked the development of Jarrett's character and the way he & Anna Jane learn to interact, and teacher Fallon shines with Anna Jane as well. Unfortunately, those darned typos...oh, well.

Classic Susan Mallery! I loved this book. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the memory loss, but it wasn't over played. The chemistry in this book was great, and slower building than the other two books in the series. I also liked the relationship between Fallon and Anna Jane. It was really fun, and sweet, with great character development all around. :) This was a great way to start my Valentine weekend.

Loved this book when I first read it about 10 years ago and again when I read it last year. I think it may have been my favorite of the three. In this book, one of three triplets washes up on the shore of a private beach and, after finding out that she's lost her memory, is allowed to stay because the owner's daughter is enchanted with the mysterious stranger.

It wasn't bad but I always think that stupid little running scared bit just gets old. he knew her he loved her and he knew that love was not a bad thing seriously he should have handled that better but I did like the amnesia idea. It wasn't romanticized she was terrified - which I thought was a very interesting part of her character development. all in all I enjoyed it.

I loved, loved, loved this story. The characters were rich, the plot was satisfying. Although there was attraction, the story did not revolve around that. I was able to skip the explicit scenes and still be enthralled by Mallery's fluid storytelling. This is a keeper.
