I had totally forgotten that I had started this series however it was very easy to get back into in just a few pages. This is such easy reading and easy to pick up and put down.

At the time of posting this series is available to Kindle Unlimited.

I felt uneasy through this book. The abusive relationship Reagan is in with Kane wasn't handled as well as it could have been. The author touched on how Reagan knew it was abusive and unhealthy but was falling in love anyway, although I know that's a realistic thing to happen in abusive relationships. The author could have done more to address a teen audience that this is unhealthy and although your feelings are valid that walking away or asking for help is always an option. Romanticising Kane's behaviour isn't responsible for the audience it's aimed at.

What an explosive ending to this season! Each episode felt like an entire novel unto itself. It's crazy the amount of action and drama that happened in just this one volume alone!

Here's my episode breakdown:

This is an interesting series.
It has humour so things don't get too heavy but at the same time they do loose people and there is violence and killing.

The series is a long one and these main characters stories continue for 3 seasons.
There is also a spin off series that deals with the sister later.

There is little intimacy. There is touching, hugging and a few kisses but no sex until much later in the last season.
The main 2 characters have love interests but due to the nature of the start of the virus and the constant threat there are no intimate scenes until the end of season 3.

Each season ends on a HFN with an enemy thread running through the whole series.
Each episode either ends as HFN with a goal set for the next or at times an immediate threat will run across several episodes.
At the time I read these the whole series was on Amazon KU so it was possible to read one after the other or complete in a box set.
If you start reading and want to get to a HEA you will need to read the entire 3 seasons.
There is the immediate zombie threat which is constant but also the series deals with humanities reaction to survival.
Often a bigger threat is the desire for power between the surviving groups and these at times use lack of resources and scientific experimentation to control the main threats.
Later in the series there is a love triangle situation of sorts for the heroine.
It's not exactly a love triangle but there is a dividing force between the main couple due to the interest from another man.
There are no intimate details but there is a kissing scene with the other man, but at the time the main couple are not together.
The characters are all very different, they have their flaws but they are college age so when they make mistakes and sometimes they are stupid ones I put it down to youth and although they have learnt survival through experience the threat is constant so it's not easy for them to be sensible all the time.
There is a good bit of banter between the group and a great deal of humour.
There are some serious issues dealt with too and the main human enemy threat is pretty evil.

3.5 stars -- The volume started off with a bit more bang, and really had me feeling all the emotions. But I don't know...I just started losing interest and had to fight with myself over the whole Kane stuff, and somewhere along the way I lost my way. I just wasn't as sucked into the storyline... Now that could totally be a me thing. I honestly can't tell. All I know is that while I had moments of great feels, I just felt like the episodes were missing something for me. I know part of that is that Reagan goes through so much and I couldn't always empathize with her....and if I can't vibe with the characters, then I'm just not going to enjoy myself as much. And because there was so much bad happening, I missed the lightness that the other characters can sometimes bring to the plot. The episodes became very Reagan-centric, and I missed the Parker family, and Haley, and even Tyler and Miller. So yeah. :( Trust me when I say that I'm very upset about this. I love this author, but the story just went in a direction that didn't appeal to me personally.

Still loving this series. I have become spoiled since I had all of the 1st and the majority of the 2nd season already available when I began reading and hate that now I have to wait 5 months for more. But I have to say, loved it but I'm pissed. Seriously Hendrix? Seriously what happened with Kane? Hendrix best get his act together and get Reagan back and there BETTER be no new girl in the mix for him or I'm done. He worked so hard to get her to fall for him (and while I can see why he was upset, seriously he over reacted and now MUST fix his mistake!) and then just dumped her like it all meant nothing? What happened to "I love you more than all and to the end?" It sure doesn't seem like he meant those words right now. Again I repeat THERE BETTER BE NO NEW TEMPTATION FOR HIM and he best get his act together and win Reagan back or I swear to God I will...! Ugh. Now until December. I repeat again...Ugh.

Look. I, as a rule, don't read sappy sad books. Fault in our stars? Absolutely not. Humor, suspense, action, love? And zombies? Hell yeah. This book sent me on an emotional roller coaster I didn't think possible. It was SO good. Like SO SO good. Saying that it's a nail biter doesn't even begin to explain it. Is it possible to pace your house while reading, chewing your nails, and cursing your sister who begged you to read it and made you become absolutely obsessed with it, all at the same time?

My heart raced through this whole volume. I was so pissed at Reagan. I was so pissed at Hendrix. I was SO pissed at Kane. This book was supposed to be a funny, witty book about young adults (in there 20's) surviving zombies. It wasn't supposed grip my nerves and heart strings with zombie-like claws and rip them out of my chest. I AM EXHAUSTED!

All I can say is: read this series. Holy shit read this series. You won't regret it.

P.s. Don't hate on the grammar. She'll get an editor one day.

How the hell is ____ still alive? He really is a freaking cockroach. Anyway, these episodes were so filled with drama and action. I still think that Kane and Reagan would have been a great couple if the Zombie apocalypse never happened. But since it did happen Kane just messed everything up at the beginning and his relationship with Reagan is unhealthy and not normal. I love Kane as a character and cried so much for him but I definitely want Reagan and Hendrix together in the end. I was starting to get bored with the same things happening over and over again but this volume of episodes helped me enjoy the series again.

Love sucks

This was real emotional with the relationship aspect because of Kane. I admired Reagan for standing up to herself and not being in denial. Being in love in a apocalypse is hard especially maintaining a relationship.

This is my first review so pardon if I rant. First i want to say I have really loved this series Rachel had fully engaged me and dragged me into this Zombie infested world kicking and screaming. I love the world building and the fact I actually care about the characters. I have been on a roller coaster of emotions: scared, anxious, happy, sad, the whole shebang.

But what I really liked about this volume was that it solved something I have been struggling with since i started reading this series, the love triangle issue. While not a huge fan (i usually hate, no loathe, love triangles) i can deal with them at the beginning of a series but after the main characters relationships develop, for me it slides into cheating territory. Basically the whole Kane thing was wrong, even if she didn't see it that way. She had feelings for Kane, yet she loves Hendrix? Pfff don't get into a committed (to the point of engagement form of commitment) relationship if some random hot guy with glasses can just walk right in and make you have feelings for him grr. What i loved the most was that Rachel didn't let Hendrix be a chump he saw what was going on and acted accordingly, while it broke my heart it was the right thing. She needs to sort her stuff out because right now she doesn't deserve Hendrix. It's about time she started fighting for this relationship and working to get him back it has been too easy for her.

Gah rant over overall this series had been fun, I've loved the crazy battles with Feeders, the characters, the hilarious teenage boy antics, the PARKERS *sigh*, for some reason i loved reading from Tylers POV gotta love her spunk. While i really dislike Kane this season has changed my view of him slightly, i dislike him less and i feel for what he had gone through, it was sad but a perfect ending. Now all i hope for is no more fraking love triangles (or i will jump off a cliff and forever forsake all romance themed books)

I'm not even sure where to start with this review, all I can say is that the events that happened in this book left me feeling exhausted. I was SO excited to see how things would develop between Kane and Reagan after the kidnapping, because despite all the hate on him, he would always be my favourite character.

I was overjoyed when Reagan finally gave up trying to deny her feelings for him. The few moments that they spent alone since Kane's character was introduced will always be a highlight for me. It was amazing to see the character development of Kane and how his love for Reagan changed him for the better. When Kane died trying to save Reagan and Miller, it left me in tears and my heart ached for the future that Reagan and Kane could never have. No offense to those on Team Hendrix, but sometimes I really do hate his character because of how he treated Reagan after she was rescued from the kidnapping event.

All in all, this volume left me heartbroken for Kane but I also cannot wait to see the adventures that awaits the rest of the group!

Love , love, love it!

This series grabbed me and would not let go! From the very beginning , two girls kicking ass and surviving together in a zombie apocalypse . Then they meet the hottest guys ever and they can kick ass too! The relationships and the adventures they have together , seriously leave you begging for more. This would make a great tv series ! I've played it out in my head. And of course I've already assigned actors to the characters ! Ha "the Walking Dead" meets "Love & Decay" ! I there's nothing better than zombies , blood, gore, action, and fighting for your life with a little love triangle thrown in the mix . Can't wait to read the next episodes!! This is a must read for all you female zombie lovers!!

Matthias is crazy. He's like The Governor from TWD only he's way crazier. Or maybe not.
And what was up with that ending?! I wasn't a big fan in the first place but I didn't actually want him to die.

I have no idea what to expect in the third season but I have a feeling there's going to be lots of zombies, more crazy from Matthias and a lot of emotional trauma from Reagan.
I cannot wait!
The Parkers are my newest book boyfriends <3

Crap crap that is what this book is crap! okay so it's not like I didn't enjoy reading it but I just hate it because I hate Kaine so bad I hate him and I love Hendrix so this volume was very hard for me to want to read it. I don't think that Hendrick should ever get back together with Reagan because she does not deserve him!

Episode 9. Intense to say the least. Heart break.... Loss
Episode 10.utter confusion. How much more can one person take. Betrayal.
Episode 11. Why??? I just don't get it. She loved him so why the sacrifice?
Episode 12. Ding dong, the bitch is dead. Too bad her husband wasn't so lucky. Poor Paige, having to take a life to save her family. Will she ever recover? What about Reagan?
