From USA Today bestselling author Claudia Burgoa comes a small-town, forced-proximity romance with a grumpy, single dad, a woman on the run, and a stalker who won’t let her go...
After witnessing a crime, I ran. For three years, I’ve hid from everyone. I abandoned Birchwoods Spring, my home, my plans, and the life I planned to build. I told myself it was the only way to stay safe.
But when my grandmother falls ill, I have no choice but to come back—even if it means confronting the past I tried to escape.
The moment I step onto my land, I feel it. The unease creeping in. The prickle at the back of my neck.
Someone’s been here. Watching. Waiting. They know I’m back. And they want me to know it, too. I should leave. Pack up. Disappear—again.
Then I see him.
Hopper Timberbridge, my high school crush.
He’s no longer a gangly teenager. Now, he’s gruff, guarded, and fiercely protective of the life he’s built with his daughter. He doesn’t pry, doesn’t push—just takes everything in with knowing eyes that see too much. And when the threats escalate, he offers me a place to stay, a refuge I know better than to trust.
Because whatever’s lurking in the dark?
It isn’t just watching anymore. It’s coming for me.
Claudia is an award-winning, USA Today bestselling author. She writes alluring, thrilling stories about complicated women and the men who take their breath away. She lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband and her youngest two children. She has a sweet Bichon, Macey, who thinks she's the ruler of the house. She's only partially right. When Claudia is not writing, you can find her reading, knitting, or just hanging out with her family. At night, she likes to binge watch shows with her equally geeky husband.
I have read a lot of romantic suspense books, and I’ve gotten pretty picky with them. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Under the Same Sky, but I love giving books a chance. I’m so glad I did! Under the Same Sky is the second book in the Timberbridge brothers series. This is a small town, romantic suspense. The hero falls first and is protective and the heroine is a well written, strong character! Hopper is grumpy and Nysa is sunshine perfection!
Nysa left Birchwood Springs suddenly 3 years ago because witnessed someone burying a body on her land and tried to kill her. Feeling that it was safe and her grandmother told her that she was sick, Nysa returns home. Hopper, veterinarian, is a single dad with a 2 1/2 year-old daughter named Maddie. He owned a piece of land next to Nysa’s, which throws them together, especially when there is something that feels wrong about their land. They realize very quickly that Nysa and Maddie are being watched, and as they try to keep each other and Maddie safe from the masked malignant stalkers who seem to be always 2 steps ahead. Not knowing who the villains were added a layer of eeriness to the story.
The suspense plot is well thought out and the villains are more than the masked stalkers/murderers. There is larger overarching plot that feels more secret society/cultish. The romance is slower burn with fantastic sexual tension. Hopper is so protective over Nysa, and he is giving the “who hurt you” vibes with his overprotective tendencies. Nysa goes through a lot in the book, but she remained a kind and empathetic character. There was a lot going on, but ultimately Under the Same Sky is well written romantic suspense with a gorgeous love story that when through twists and turns. The overarching suspense plot has not been resolved, but Nysa and Hopper did earn their HEA and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!
The narration for the audiobook was well performed by Stephanie Nemeth Parker and Connor Crais! They elevated the sexual and suspenseful tension while bringing the heart to Nysa and Hopper’s story. The audiobook is a MUST listen! Thank you to Claudia Burgoa for an ALC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The next book in the Timberbridge Brothers series is here!
I am completely obsessed with the Timberbridge Brothers series and was excited for Hopper’s book! Claudia writes amazing angsty and emotional stories…and let me tell you the suspense for this book was so good!
I have listened to Stephanie and Conor before, so I was sure this would be a great audiobook - and let me tell you they did such an amazing job - oh the tension!!! You could really feel Nysa’s fear…and also her strength and I loved the emotion Stephanie brought to her character. Conor was the perfect Hopper - grumpy and brooding but you could feel how protective he was - seriously I had the chills listening to them!
Nysa and Hopper have this amazing chemistry - we get this great slow burn angst tension between them. I really liked the mystery element to this story! It definitely keeps me guessing!!!
Hopper- Ok yes, this man is grumpy and a little brooding but underneath that stormy cloud exterior is the sweetest, most caring cinnamon roll ever. He was protective and exactly what Nysa needed in her life. He is also a great father to Maddie.
I really loved Nysa too! She had witnessed something horrible and was hiding and has to come back to town…and her past showed up in a big way. Even though she was so scared she showed such bravery and heart and had this amazing kindness to her.

What to Expect: - Small Town - Grumpy/Sunshine - Single Dad - Forced Proximity - Protector Energy - "Who Hurt You"? - Woman in Danger - He Falls First - Suspense/Mystery - Slow Burn - Found Family - Dual POV & Narration
Under the Same Sky is a small-town suspense with a slow-burn romance that kept me hooked from start to finish. The story follows Nysa, who fled Birchwood Springs three years ago after witnessing a disturbing crime. Now she’s back, and danger seems to have followed her home. Her return puts her in close proximity to Hopper, a single dad and local veterinarian with an adorable daughter named Maddie. Nysa forms a bond with Hopper and Maddie, and as danger gets closer, Hopper becomes a protective presence in her life.
The suspense element is tense and exciting. I loved how there were many layers, with the identity of the villains remaining hidden until the end. I didn't trust anyone, and it was fun trying to figure out what was going on. Amid the danger, a beautiful slow-burn romance develops. Nysa is a resilient, empathetic character who remains kind despite the trauma she’s endured. Hopper is swoony, protective, and caring. I could really feel how much he and Nysa cared for each other. Their relationship felt natural and real, and I loved how they worked as a little family with Maddie. Under the Same Sky has a great mix of suspense, romance, and emotional depth. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
Narration: Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and Connor Crais performed this audiobook in dual-style narration. They provided the perfect voices for Nysa and Hopper and brought the characters and story to life in the best way. Stephanie's performance really allowed Nysa's vulnerability and strength to shine. Connor's voice was perfect for the grumpy, protective, single dad hero. Both did an amazing job with the softer moments between Nysa and Hopper, and during the scenes with Maddie. Claudia Burgoa writes characters with real emotions, and the narration made it easy for me to connect with the characters' pain, fear, and hope for the future.
Thanks to Claudia Burgoa for the early review opportunity. Opinions expressed are my own.
📌 I received an e-arc, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.
⭐ 4.5
This is the first book I read by the author and without a doubt I liked it, she has such a enjoyable way of writing that I want to read the other books she has written.
The story begins when our protagonist Nysa leaves town scared and terrified because she witnessed a crime, time passes and she returns because her grandmother is sick and she wants to be with her, but oh, everything triggers a series of events and she realizes that coming back was not ideal. Here comes our protagonist, Hopper, a single father of the most adorable little girl and our girl's neighbor, and he senses from the first moment that there is something about Nysa that catches his eye, and well, he wasn't wrong.
Their relationship was beautiful, fast but beautiful, and developed in such a way that I just had heart eyes for them. I loved the protective side of Hopper, how he felt about Nysa, how Nysa protected his little girl, I LOVED IT ALL.
The mystery of the crime was good, I feel it had a good ending, it gave me the answers, although yes, there is still a mystery left that I hope will be talked about a little more in the third book.
#Review: *Under the same sky* - Claudia Burgoa - ARC/ALC [18+] 4.3/5✨ 2.5/5🌶️
The blurb of this book has convinced me to give this one a chance. I'm super grateful for the opportunity Claudia and her team offered me, to be part of her ARC team for this book. Thank youu!🤗
Only one moment will change Nysa's life. Why? Because she saw something she shouldn't have and some bad people were now after her. Because of that Nysa was forced to leave everything behind, to save her life.
After a couple of years, Nysa came back home, when her grandma needed her. But she was still pretty unsure about her safety. One good thing did happen to her when she came back: she met her handsome neighbor, Hopper Timberbridge and his little girl, Maddie, with whom she had an instant connection. But will Nysa's safety be assured after all this time?
It was super cute to see the bound which was created between Nysa and her neighbors. Little Maddie was super sweet and fun, becoming attached to Nysa pretty fast. Hopper had himself a tangled past which was still affecting him. The uncertainty of Nysa's situation has brought some suspense in this story, which was mixed with the happy times she shared with Hopper and Maddie. I liked that there were many moments which included these three, alleviating a bit the tension from the other side of the story.
I had a great experience while listening to this book, loving everything about Connor Crais, who made me like this one a bit more🤭. One story which intertwined pretty well the romance side with the mysterious, suspenseful one, which also will make you fall for the main characters of this book.
This story is full of intensity, drama and suspense. I can’t wait for more of the Timberbridge brothers.
Nysa left home years ago after witnessing something dangerous. Traveling the world, never staying in the same place for too long. But when her grandmother falls ill she finds herself back home. As soon as she is back mysterious things begin to happen and has her spooked.
Hopper left him hometown years ago trying to escape the horrible childhood he had. But he is back at his brother’s request. He is a single father to an adorable little girl, Maddie. He is the local vet and bought the property that sits up against Maddie’s.
With mysterious activity happing on their properties, Nysa and Hopper find themselves staying together for safety reasons. Nysa had a crush on him in high school, but now he’s a sexy man and her attraction is growing. You can feel tension between the two. The sexual chemistry is brewing. And the pair get closer as they try to discover who is trying to take over the town.
ⓐⓤⓓⓘⓞ ⓣⓗⓞⓤⓖⓗⓣⓢ Connor Crais and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker did an Amazon job bringing these characters to life. You could feel the emotions of the story and the suspense. It was done very well and I enjoyed both narrators.
Under the Same Sky The Timberbridge Brothers #2 by Claudia Burgoa Narrated by Connor Crais, Stephanie Nemeth-Parker
I needed this. It came just in time and I loved it! The second book in Claudia Burgoa's TImberbridge Brother's series had me from the prologue. Nysa is back after being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But even being back, she is still running from her past. The question is, has it left? Hopper, single dad, man not interested in a relationship is there for the taking when it comes to Nysa. Yes, they remember each other, but there was no spark then. Now his alpha protective side is out and he is doing his best to keep his daughter Maddie and Nysa safe. Maddie steals the show with her little mighty attitude. And in true Burgoa style, the brothers are there, Beacon giving his opinion and letting us get to know them all a little more. It's a family feel, it's full of suspense, twists and turns, romance, and love. It's a listen that is sticking with me, and I can't wait for the next in the series to see what happens next!
Connor Crais and Stephanie Nemeth Parker are two of my favorites and teaming up together is magic. Crais uses his voice to be a dad, a brother, and a lover, each part of Hopper's personality coming alive. Nemeth-Parker is Nysa, and her emotions, the turmoil, the fear and the passion is true to her. Plus she comes in as Maddie with the perfect little girl sound!! This could not have been better!
These two were actually pretty adorable. They didn’t fall in love immediately but it was a beautiful way that they built up their relationship. They immediately trusted each other and shared a lot. Seeing her with his daughter was adorable. Him and his brothers are still a work in progress lol. There was a moment that you saw the animosity of the brothers put aside and they worked together for a moment and it was beautiful because it showed how they cared about Nysa. The ending was beautifully them.
the book promised more than it delivered... the last part left me with just as!! many!! questions!! as when I started, which is so frustrating.
and the insta-love????? especially considering the context?????? 🤨 you can dress it up as “slow burn”, but they were basically just two adults pretending to be cautious before giving in. 🥱
Damn, this is my second DNF in a row. This is the second book in the series. I’ve read the first and third and enjoyed them and I have the fourth one I’m planning to read. But I have SO many books in my TBR pile and I just wasn’t resonating with this particular book.
This story is full of drama, suspense, and dealing with lots of unknowns. There are bad people who are trying to find her, and hurt the town. So survival is a challenge and a must for all and those you live. Awesome story ♥️
The second book in the Timberbridge brothers series. Hopper & Nysa get tangled up in the mystery of who and why Birchwood Springs is a target for corruption and murder.
Hopper is a vet, he runs a ranch for injured and at risk animals. Nysa has a dream of developing a sustainable farm and vineyard. She witnessed something that caused her to flee three years ago. Now she is back to help her grandmother. Hopper is a single dad to Maddie, who is the most adorable 2 yr old. Hopper’s family is embroiled in catching the bad guys and saving their town and loved ones.
This book was hard to finish, I need to remember not to read this author. The buildup to Nysa and Hopper's relationship went from wanting to kiss, to not, then straight to sex and afterward Hopper says I love you, while Nysa says nothing back. Then she acts clueless like she isn't sure if they're together or not. Just awful character development and no likable characters.

ARC kindly provided for the author in exchange for an honest review
I have to say that Under the Same Sky was a huge surprise for me because I don't like my romances mixed with suspense, BUT Claudia Burgoa balanced spectacularly that part of the plot with the secrets of the Timberbridge family and Hopper & Nysa's love story, which became one of my favorites: these two form a very strong and meaningful connection that made me love them so much and devour the book as fast as possible, plus, I loved reading them both with Maddie!
The book starts with Nysabeing in the wrong place at the wrong time which leads her to flee Birchwood Springs leaving behind her home, her grandmother and her dreams for the future, and it was from the prologue that I knew I was going to love this book even though the suspense is much greater than in the first of the series: because Claudia managed to catch me in the tension and fear that Nysa lives in those first pages, but also throughout the book as the ties of that event with the mysterious messages that she, Hopper are receiving and the secrets of the town are discovered. Nysa also had a tragic and painful childhood that broke my heart to learn about, but I really loved knowing that she and Atlas were able to become friends when they both needed it most, it also melted my heart to read how important Nyssa is to him, and of course, the moments this heroine shares with her grandmother are very funny and beautiful too.
Hopper became a hermit who cares for rescued horses, while running a veterinary clinic and taking care of his little girl, Maddie, a two-and-a-half-year-old who is the cutest and most adorable baby. Like Nyssa, Hopper has a tragic past, not only because of the terribly dysfunctional relationship he has with his brothers and the abuse they suffered at the hands of his father, but because of Maddie's mother as well. Something I didn't expect from this character was to read the big heart he shows Nyssa from the first moment he sees her, his regrets over his mother's death and the promises he made to her. Plus, Hopper has an even filthier mouth than Ledger, something I didn't think was possible.
Nysa & Hopper have known each other since high school: he was her tutor and she had a little crush on him, but it was never more than that, and when they both go back to BS, it's impossible for Hopper to stop thinking about her, especially when he knows that Nysa is in danger and he decides to become her protector. I think my favorite thing about this characters' love story was the way they both confide the toughest situations of their lives to each other and choose to be vulnerable, even when they know the possible risks. Another thing that melted my heart was reading Nysa forming a special bond with Maddie, caring for her as much as Hopper does and willing to do anything to protect her. And if all of the above weren't enough, I LOVED that the author gave me unpredictable plot twists, full of surprises about her characters, and the perfect ending.
Audiobook Review🎧
The audiobook of Under the Same Sky is just as good as the written version! First, I'm so happy that Connor Crais is in charge of bringing Hopper to life because he (H) became one of my favorite characters by the author and he's (C) in my top 3 narrators, so 👏🏽😍
I also loved it because both narrators conveyed perfectly the tense moments in this story. They made me love Nysa & Maddie even more (especially Stephanie Németh-Parker), and they also portrayed the family drama so good.
I don't know what book I am reading compared to others, but I had to DNF at 56%.
I felt like the plot and interactions were choppy and disjointed. The writing just did not flow for me. Plus Nysa has to be one of the dumbest characters ever... "Yes! I will leave everything I have behind and disappear instead of going to the police!" What?! The plot just makes zero sense to me.
I also felt like I was plopped into the middle of a world that I was already supposed to know everything about. However, maybe this is my fault since I did not read the first book.
Maybe I will give it another go in the future?! 🤷🏻
Nysa left town years ago after she saw something she shouldn't have. But she's come back now that her grandmother is sick, hoping they don't notice she's here. Then Hopper comes around when he notices lights in the house that's been empty since Nysa left. There's an instant tension in the air when they see each other, but Nysa's still looking over her shoulder, and Hopper's only concern right now is his adorable daughter. And now he's determined that he has to bring her into his home to protect her from someone who seems to be watching both her and his daughter. Can their connection, helped by close proximity, see them through to the other side?
Hopper hasn't wanted to be in a relationship in years, but when Nysa shows back up in town, something sparks between them that hadn't been there when they knew each other before. Before all his focus was his daughter, now it's both Nysa and Maddie's safety, and figuring out a way to keep them both alive where he can watch over them. Then he will try his best to convince Nysa she's meant to stay forever with him and Maddie.
I do so love a protective hero, and Hopper is protective personified. Even though he knew Nysa was running from something, all he wanted to do was protect her from it. The bond she formed so quickly with Maddie just sealed the deal, and there was no way Hopper was not going to fall for her. The mystery and suspense kept the story at an intriguing pace, merging seamlessly with their slow burn love story, all aided by their delicious chemistry. I love Nysa, Hopper and Maddie, and now I'm very impatient to read as the next Timberbridge brother falls in love.
I absolutely loved Under the Same Sky by Claudia Burgoa; it is a small-town single father love story. It is the second book in her The Timberbridge Brothers series. Claudia Burgoa shows that she is an amazing storyteller, and she is a one click, must read author for me. I was hooked from the first few pages of Under the Same Sky, it was impossible to put down and I loved every moment on every page. It is one of the most enjoyable books that I have read recently. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? Love the heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and plot twists included in Under the Same Sky. Under the Same Sky is the story of Nysa Calloway and Hopper Timberbridge, runs a ranch rehabilitating horses, and father of two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Maddie. Nysa left Birchwood Springs and her farm over three years ago when she came across some criminal activities taking place on her land and barely escaped with her life. She has recently returned after three years of travelling to small towns across the country at the request of her grandmother who notified Nysa that she is ill. Nysa and Hopper are neighbors, and he comes upon her in her barn hiding. Nysa reveals that Hopper was her high school tutor while she was friends with his brother, Atlas. Shortly after arriving, Nysa realizes that she should not have returned to Birchwood Springs because of questionable deeds happening near her farm. When Hopper realizes that her life might be in danger, he requests the help of his brother, Malerick, the Birchwood Springs sheriff. As Malerick and his team investigate what is happening now as well as what happened three years ago, things between Nysa and Hopper change, but neither one of them is willing to admit their true feelings for one another, because they do not know how the other feels. I love the sizzling chemistry between Nysa and Hopper and the push and pull of conversations between them flow so easily, with flirting, innuendos and playful banter, and Nysa constantly flirting with dirty talking Hopper. I love all the little things that Hopper does for the Nysa. I love all the heart-to-heart conversations between Nysa and Hopper and how Hopper reveals Maddie’s parentage, a secret that he has not revealed to his brothers and Nysa tells Hopper the story of her tragic past and her guilt. I love how the Timberbridge brothers have come together to determine what is really going on in Birchwood Springs. I love that the brothers begin to reconcile in spite of their traumatic childhood. I cannot wait to find out what Atlas’s role really is in the investigation. I loved that Under the Same Sky is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Nysa and Hopper are facing that need to be resolved, and there is a plot twist that threatens their lives and their relationship. I love how Claudia Burgoa has revealed that the events of the plot twist will not be resolved until the last book in the series. I love the ending of the love story, and how both Nysa and Hopper change because of their love for one another and everything that Nysa is willing to do to have a life with Hopper. I love Nysa’s relationship with Maddie and her stuffed pony, Lala. My favorite part is the epilogue and how it is the perfect ending to their love story. One of my favorite parts is the significance of the blanket that is in Nysa’s childhood bedroom at her Grandmother Lucy’s house. I love all the descriptions of the Birchwood Springs setting. Under the Same Sky is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, Claudia Burgoa did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments, plot twists and surprises that filled this page turner. I really enjoy how the book is written in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting inside their minds and knowing their thoughts and how they really feel. I love how Claudia Burgoa incorporated the title of the book into their love story. I love all the characters in Under the Same Sky. They feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Timberbridge brothers and the family dynamic, and their brokenness, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Under the Same Sky, who does not love a single father love story. It was such an enjoyable book to read. Cannot wait to discover what is really going on in Birchwood Springs and who is really behind it. Highly recommend this incredible love story. Received an advanced copy from the author.
Under The Same Sky is book two in the Timberbridge Brothers series by Claudia Burgoa. We are back in the small town of Birchwood Springs for this romantic suspense between Hopper Timberbridge and Nysa Calloway. This is a slow burn romance where he falls first but they both have issues to work through so it gets very emotional at times. Hopper is an extremely protective hero with an adorable daughter and Nysa shows such strength to overcome everything. Many twists and turns in their relationship, the drama affecting the town and the brotherly feud.
Nysa saw three people burying a body on her land and only just escaped them. She has been on the run for three years and knows she could be risking her life by returning home but her grandmother is sick and she is the only family she has left. Hopper is a grumpy, brooding veterinarian and a single dad to his two year old daughter Maddie. She is his everything so he's fiercely protective of her. Like his brothers, he never expected to return home but needing his mother’s help, he bought the ranch to provide a good home for Maddie.
He is suspicious when lights appear at the abandoned ranch next door so goes to investigate and is shocked to find Nysa. He gets the feeling she is in trouble and very afraid of something so is concerned why she has suddenly returned after leaving without telling anyone. Nysa remembers him from high school because he was her tutor and she had a crush on him but thought all the brothers had left town. He helps her to settle back in but it becomes obvious someone wants her gone. She realises her secrets won’t stay hidden for long and when the unease intensifies she worries the men will come back for her.
After more incidents, she ends up telling everything to Malerick. Then she moves in with Hopper and helps to look after Maddie. Turns out they have more in common than they thought and they understand what the other has been through. She feels an empathy towards him because they are both broken due to past trauma. Their relationship is a real push and pull especially as she is torn between staying or running away. She thinks it’s reckless to fall for him and he wonders if he could let her love him. Hopper finally can’t hold back and deny his feelings anymore. He’s terrified he’ll mess up and lose her but refuses to let her go. She’s reluctant as can’t lose anyone else and she knows she is putting him and Maddie in danger, along with her grandmother.
They are both targeted as the mystery surrounding the threats to their town continues as more is involved than revealed in the first book. Poor Mal can’t believe that two of his brothers have now gone and fallen in love when they are facing so many problems. He is trying to solve what is going on but as the situation gets dangerous he struggles to keep everyone else safe. Is Nysa brave enough to stay when it’s not only her stalker that is after them?
I loved the surprise arrival and can’t wait to find out how he fits into everything. Can he fix things and keep Nysa safe or is he going to cause more problems. My heart went out to Hopper when we learn about his horrendous childhood and the truth about Maddie. He is determined to be a better father than his father was. Nysa also reveals some interesting information that could hopefully bring the brothers back together. I did feel the mystery surrounding the syndicate by the end over took the romance and some bits were a little confusing. However, it was lovely how Hopper and Nysa slowly realise they could have a future together, build a home and be a family. A thrilling and suspenseful emotional romance between two people struggling with past issues.
Under The Same Sky The Timberbridge Brothers By: Claudia Burgoa Narrated by: Connor Crais, Stephanie Németh-Parker
Claudia Burgoa pens another amazing novel, a small town romantic suspense that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings, too. The suspense storyline takes you to the edge of your seat and the series’ ongoing storyline keeps you thinking, wondering who is behind it all and what are they after. To get the most out of the incredible world building and the series arc it is best to enjoy these books in order written, and watch all the pieces fall in place. After witnessing something on her newly purchased property, Nyssa fled, leaving her house and dream to farm the land behind. After running scared for three years, she goes back home, only because she gets a call that her grandmother is sick, but hangs low at first to make sure she is safe and does not bring danger to her grandmother’s door. Hopper Timberbridge, a veterinarian and single dad, moved back to Birchwood Springs two and half years ago and only knew that house to be vacant. So when he noticed the light on, he had to investigate, coming face to face with a skittish woman who claimed to be the owner of the house. I loved watching these two interact and get to know each other, and it was great to learn their backstories too. She was great with his daughter Maddie, who he was very protective of, and his protective nature covered Nysa, especially when suspicious things occurred. Hopper’s brother, the sheriff, former FBI, was on it and he called in reinforcements. There is never a dull moment in this book and I loved all the layers of the story and how it all plays out, with lots of drama, angst, some mystery, thrilling suspense, heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another amazing story and the wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧Connor Crais and Stephanie Németh-Parker’s exceptional performance takes this page-turner of a romantic suspense to new heights, keeping you entranced and having to know what happens next. Their character voices are fitting for the perfect portrayal of each, sounding believable in every role, and I loved their take on the two leads. Németh-Parker aced it as Nyssa, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her fear and skittishness to her strength and determination. Crais was just as fabulous in Hopper’s role, showcasing his personality perfectly, including his charm and protective nature. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’s emotions and had you feeling them all. These two are superbly talented voice artists and a pleasure to listen to.

Timberbridge Brothers #2 DUAL NARRATION
This is the 2nd book in the Timberbridge Brother series & these boys do not disappoint! Hopper, a single dad, has a protective heart of gold. An alpha single dad is kryptonite for me, so his character checked all my boxes. He's raising his 2 year old daughter, Maddie. He has absolutely no desire to get into a relationship, but Nysa slides back into town & everything changes.
Hopper is immediately drawn to Nysa & she's got her eyes locked on him as well, not to mention his sweet, adorable kid. She's fighting a past that just keeps running after her. Hopper tries to fight off his attraction for her from the get-go. He's got some emotional baggage from tied to his jerky father & strained relationships with his brothers, but Nysa's sweet & tender ways begin to take over his life.
Running from her past, Nysa senses immediately that she's still in danger. Once Hopper realizes this too, his protective & alpha ways kick into high gear. He's determined to protect the woman he's totally fallen for. Claudia knows how to write a slow burn & this story runs warm until it doesn't!💥 These two go from 0 to 100 real fast & it's hot & sexy! There's a real ease of their relationship. The ability to open up so easily with each other & rely on one another was something I loved about this couple.
This is a small-town suspense that really piqued my interest as clues are dropped one after another & Nysa's safety is compromised. Despite Hopper & his brothers having issues in the past, they band together to help rescue Nysa from danger. There's sweet & swoony moments, edge of your seat suspense & an adorable 2 year old that all bring this story to its HEA!
🎧Let's talk narration: Stephanie & Connor did a wonderful job narrating this story. Stephanie really had the perfect voice to narrate Nysa's character. Her sweet & melodic voice showed off Nysa's vulnerable & fearful role perfectly, but she delivers BIG when it comes to her passion not only for Hopper but his daughter Maddie as well. Connor's deep voice is always the perfect match for a protective MMC. When you're protective, you're growly & there's not another man who can growl like he can! When that, "Who hurt you?" moment happens, I was squealing a bit.🙌 NGL. The forbidden chemistry between these two was terrific! Such a fun listen!
This is a wonderful romantic suspense with a very sweet love story that's filled with twists & turns that keep you glued to your headphones! Thank you, Claudia, for a copy of the ALC. All thoughts are my own. Can't wait for the next book in this series.
This is book two in The Timberbridge Brother’s series and it is Hopper and Nysa’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. When Nysa sees something that she shouldn’t have and gets caught the only thing that she can do is get free and run otherwise she knows that she will lose her life. Now three years later and Nysa had returned to the scene of the crime because her grandma is sick and needs help and she hopes that she is safe now only to arrive and feel like she is being watched which makes her feel uneasy but she is hoping that it is just her imagination playing tricks on her. Hopper is a veterinarian and also a single dad to his daughter Maddie who is his world and he also owns the land next to Nysa ( not that he knows that because she had kept it a secret to protect herself) and even though the house had been empty he still keeps a eye on it so when he sees a light on he goes to investigate to make sure it isn’t someone who is not supposed to be there. When Nysa and Hopper meet she realised that she knew him from school and at one time she had a crush on him but it didn’t stop the attraction and chemistry between them but nothing could happen because she wouldn’t put anyone in danger. When something happens and Hopper decided that she will be safer staying with him as he had great security she is still afraid of bringing danger to Hopper and Maddie but unfortunately she had no where else to go at the moment. The more time that Hopper and Nysa spend together the harder they fall for each other but with danger closing in fast will they ever get the chance to be together as a family and get the future that they both want and deserve before it is taken away from them. There are twists and turns along with danger, kidnapping, threats, murder, great characters, strong chemistry, family, hope, love and emotions that will have you on the edge of your seat while turning the pages wondering what will happen next and also if they will be able to eliminate the threat before it is too late. Wow I absolutely loved this book so much and I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting because the story pulled you in and kept your attention throughout. Claudia Burgoa is a amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her readers engaged in her stories and the way she describes everything makes you feel like you are there living through everything with them and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.
Book two in the Timberbridge Brothers series by Claudia Burgoa is a fast pace, romantic suspense filled with found family, swoony single dads and just the right amount of danger. As always, I recommend reading the series in order while the book can be read as a standalone, there are characters from previous books that are important to the story.
Nysa is a woman on the run.. After witnessing a heinous crime years ago, she has had to continuously run, never staying in one place long, never putting down roots. Now she’s back in Birchwood Springs, her Grandmother is ill so going back where it all started may not be where she wants to go, but it's where she has to. As her luck seems to always fail her, the trouble from her past has finally found its way back to her as well, at least now she has someone in her corner.
Hooper (love the name) has also returned to his hometown, but with his young daughter Maddie in tow. As a single father, he tries his best to be the man his daughter needs him to be, but sometimes it’s a lot to take on alone. However, as a vet, he runs a ranch that helps and cares for injured and sick animals, this allows him to be more involved on a day to day basis with his daughter. Enter Nysa, the new neighbor, one that he and his family have past ties to. There connection is fierce, their chemistry hot, however neither makes a move on the other while their feelings are unclear. Soon the troubles from Nysa’s past start making moves, putting more than her family’s farm in danger, her life becomes a target. Once that happens, Hopper is done playing games, he ropes in his brother aka the sheriff, and they start to investigate. But can they unravel the mystery before another incident happens to Nysa?
I freaking knew I was going to love this series, small-town suspense is where it is at! Ms. Claudia is a master at her craft, she can weave a story like no other, and every time it has me waiting with bated breath. Nysa, Hooper and little Maddie were the storybook ending that we all want before turning in at night. Nysa and Hooper had such great banter, their characters fun and engaging, the suspense to the story had the perfect amount of tension to get the reader engage and on their toes. I really can’t wait to see what Ms. Claudia has in store for the rest of the brothers!

💜 Small-Town 💜 Slow Burn 💜 Found Family 💜 Suspense Romance 💜 Single Dad
I am falling so hard for these intriguing and swoony Timberbridge brothers! I loved the emotion and intensity, the building drama and suspense, along with the growing passion between Nysa, Hopper. Nysa left town years ago after seeing something that put her life at risk. She has traveled the world, never staying in one place for long. When her grandmother is sick, Nysa races home to help her. Hopper is a single dad of an adorable little girl, Maddie. He left Birchwood Springs to escape a terrible home life but is now back at his brother's request. Nysa and Hopper are neighbors brought together when mysterious events happen to them. Hopper has Nysa staying with him so he can protect her. The connection slowly grows between Nysa and Hopper and she falls just as hard for Maddie too. Hopper and his brother's are trying to find out who is behind the threats, but they are always one step behind. Just as Nysa and Hopper are feeling like they can make a normal life and family together, the unthinkable happens putting everything at risk. I was completely captivated by this exciting story full of deep emotion, secrets, heart pounding tension and sizzling passion. Nysa and Hopper are so good together as they supported each other, and feel safe enough to let each other in, making a sweet family together, and their slow burn, sexual tension was off the charts. All the Timberbridge brothers are intriguing and unique in their own way, I love getting to know them better, watching them clash but also slowly forging brotherly bonds. There are more secrets surrounding them, and their not so sleepy town, and I can't wait to find out more! The narration by Stephanie Nemeth Parker and Connor Crais was superb! They are so perfect as Nysa and Hopper, as they not only build the tension of the story but the fiery attraction between Nysa and Hopper as well. They conveyed the depth and complexity of all the different emotions so beautifully, and Parker's voice for little Maddie was so sweet. I always love their work and was completely lost in this heart-pounding performance! This moving and heartfelt story was a roller coaster ride with push/pull emotions, a bit of suspense, surprise plot twists, and hot steamy passion, and I loved every moment!
I’m loving this series! Each book is more scary than the previous one, as we read about a small town besieged by an organization, but the townies don’t realize it. Only Nysa is aware because she saw a man being buried in her farm. She escaped the men, and ran away from town, stayed running, hiding, moving around. Three years later, she came back to town and it’s as if the criminals were waiting for her to come back and for the action to begin again.
The author did a great job creating a suspenseful feeling to the story, it even got me paranoid! Initially, Nysa was closed off, didn’t want to share what happened years ago, and the warnings that started coming at her. Her neighbor was intrigued by her, very much attracted, and was very willing to help her. I loved how little Maddie enchanted Nysa and made her open up. Having to stay close is what made them succumb to their attraction. Both were adverse to commitment, but the danger and suspense helped them overcome the hesitation.
The Timberbridge brothers felt more like enemies than family. Their abusive father used to beat them mercilessly and taunted them against the other, often making them fight between themselves. There was an environment of hate, and their mother would turn her face away and didn’t stop it. Hence their resentment and abandonment of their mother when she got terminally ill. The town troubles are making the brothers start to work together and it’s a part of the series I like very much. I loved that in spite of their issues, all the uncles love their niece so much, she has them twisted around her little fingers.
As with the first book, the story doesn’t end with a resolution on the organization targeting the town, and in my case, I ended with more questions than answers. Atlas is not what he seems, a simple tattoo artist, and I hope it will be cleared up in his book which comes next.
The story is entertaining, suspenseful, keeps you riveted wanting to know what happens next, and is sort of vague on what the criminals are doing. It seems everyone is in a waiting game, faking a normal life when it’s anything but. Interesting!
Claudia has had my heart in her hand all year!! Her men are just AMAZING!! I'm so in love with her writing and can't get enough of her books. This book was such a quick listen for me. I only stopped listening once and then finished it the next day because I couldn't stop listening. The characters and the story are well written. You are pulled in from the very beginning and will be left wanting more.
The narrators Connor Crais and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker were the perfect narrators for this story. Connor Crais is one of my favorite narrators so I was really excited when I saw he was doing this book. They both hold your attention and keep you entertained through the entire book. You will feel like your part of this story.
Hooper is book boyfriend material. OOH did that man have me swooning like crazy! He was just the best dad and the lengths he will go for his daughter just melted my heart. When he meets Nysa he knows he's in trouble with her. Hooper had a rough past and has some things to over come but listening to his character grow and the changes that happen within his family is beautiful.
Nysa has been away from Birchwood Springs for a few years now after witnessing a crime but came back because her grandmother is ill. When she meets her neighbor Hooper things are gonna change in a big way for her.
I loved Hooper and Nysa's story. They both had a past to overcome but together anything is possible. I loved everything about this book. I had so many moments I was smiling like a fool and swooning like crazy. This book has some suspense to it and that made it very entertaining. Hooper's family is dysfunctional so there is some drama but it's such a good story in that drama. I couldn't ask for a better book. I HIGHLY recommend this book and this series.
Thank you Claudia Burgoa for allowing me to listen to this ALC for my honest opinion.
🐎 Single Dad 💙 Forced Proximity 🐎 Small Town 💎 Protector Hero 💙 Grumpy X Sunshine 🐎 Who Hurt You? Vibes 💙 Damaged Heroine 🐎 Found Family
Claudia came back with the second book in the Timberbridge Brothers series with a WHOLE BANG 💥! I couldn't get enough of Pretend We Are Us and this proved to be just as good, dare I say better??
Nesa is our damaged Heroine who has been doing everything she can to stay safe and out of harms way for the last 3 years. But a text brings her to a home she recognizes but doesn't want to be in. The things we do for family is abundant. Nesa is definitely the one who will be there when you need her, even when it's not best for her.
I loved Nesa sooo much! I loved that she was so willing to be open with Maddie and Hopper. I loved the relationship she cultivated with Maddie and showed her how much she was loved. Every child should have that never ending love from someone. Nesa made it very clear how much she cared for Maddie and wouldn't leave her side. Nesa and Hopper definitely had their past but thay past seemed to help them along the way!
Hopper was definitely Mr. Grumpy Pants 😠 but that doesn't mean he didn’t care. He loved Maddie until the ends of the Earth. He didn't care what it took to make sure that she was safe and no one would harm a hair on her head. After some time he was able to see how much he had grown to care for Nesa. A relationship he never wanted but came to realize just how much he came to care for her.
I absolutely cannot wait for Book 3! I'l be waiting on the edge of my seat until then 😫.
🔥 Let's Talk About Sex Baby 🥵: 🌶️🌶️.25 /5
Thank you so much to Claudia Burgoa for the free copy 🫶🏻. All opinions are my own, honest and voluntary.
**Audio Review ** My heart! Under the Same Sky by Claudia Burgoa was an alluring and endearing small-town romance with the perfect touch of suspense and spice. Nysa and Hopper’s journey to HEA sucked me in right fromt he start, and I loved how these two confided and comforted each other. This is book two, Claudia’s Timberbridge Brothers series, and is best enjoyed after reading Pretend We Are Us first.
Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and Connor Crais perform this audiobook in dual narration, and this pairing had me entranced! Both Stephanie and Connor fully embodied Nysa and Hopper, plus the way they portrayed little Maddie had me clutching my heart. Stephanie’s soft, melodic voice conveyed Nysa’s timid, vulnerable, and passionate persona perfectly as she tried to conquer her lingering past. Connor’s deep, warm timbre encompassed Hopper’s protective, concerned, and charismatic demeanor, adding the right amount of rasp and growl to those “who hurt you” moments. (Whew!) Both narrators created an undeniable push and pull between Nysa and Hopper that was simply meant to be.
Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a small town, suspenseful romance with a hot, protective veterinarian, a caring heroine who loves her grandmother dearly, coming home after disappearing for three years, an adorable two-year-old, criminal activity, threatening letters, cozy bookstores, spaghetti dinners, suspicious intruders, intimate conversations, helpful brothers, handholding for comfort, slow burn spice, he falls first, a jaw dropping climax, and a HEA that will rescue your heart, then you will love Nysa and Hopper’s story. I always look forward to more from Claudia Burgoa.
🎧ALC Audiobook Review 🎧 Title: Under the Same Sky; The Timberbridge Brothers #2 Author: Claudia Burgoa Narration: Connor Crais & Stephanie Nemeth-Parker
⭐️Dual Narration ⭐️Open door spice ⭐️Small town ⭐️Single dad ⭐️Suspense ⭐️Grumpy sunshine ⭐️Forced proximity
My thoughts: This one pulled me in right from the start with a story and romance that felt both intense and heartfelt. Hopper and Nysa are drawn to each other like moths to a flame, each carrying along some baggage, but somehow finding exactly what they didn’t know they were missing in each other.
I really loved Hopper—the small town single dad. He’s protective, devoted, and when Nysa’s past starts to catch up with her, he steps up in a way that’s both fierce and touching. And little Maddie? She added so much warmth and charm, just an absolutely adorable bright spot in the story.
The suspense elements were a great touch. They were woven in just enough to keep me fully engaged and wondering what was going to happen. The tension, the stakes, the feels—it all worked together beautifully.
Connor and Stephanie did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. Stephanie captured Nya’s emotional journey so well! you could hear the tension, the uncertainty, but also the tenderness as her guard began to fall. Connor delivered on the protective, alpha energy perfectly, and I especially appreciated the softer moments in his voice when interacting with his daughter.
All in all, this was a compelling and emotional listen that balanced romance, some suspense, and heart in all the right ways and I enjoyed it!
Thank you to author Claudia Burgoa for this listen!
This is book 2 in the Tinberbridge Brothers series and while I could be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading book 1 (Pretend We are Us) first, as the backstory carries through and it will give you a much better understanding of the plot. This is a small town, romantic suspenseful series and in book two, as they say, “the plot thickens”. 3 years ago, Nysa unintentionally witnessed men burying a body on her property, which caused her to run from her hometown in fear for her life. When her grandmother falls ill, Nysa comes back but she’s still scared wondering if it’s safe. Hooper Timberbridge is a local vet with an adorable toddler daughter, Maddie. He bought the farm next to Nysa’s, though he didn’t know who owned it at the time. They are both getting over very troubling pasts and neither has very much trust in people or relationships. He’s grumpy and overprotective and she is fearful yet stubborn.
The two are thrown together when they discover strange happenings on their lands. Things which causes Hooper's older brother, the town sheriff, to get involved along with his former FBI brothers. There are lots of twists and turns in the plot. As things escalate and Nysa, Hooper and Maddie spend more time together, sparks start to fly. Can they get through all the dangers and possibly both finally find a chance for inner peace and happiness or will the threats and evil all around cause them apart for their own safety and Maddie’s?
I highly recommend the series and I can’t wait for book 3 to see what is next in line as the suspense continues in this small town, suspenseful, romantic series.
Under the Same Sky continues the Timberbridge Brothers series and continues the series story arc from Pretend We are Us. After witnessing a crime and getting caught, Nysa runs for her life. Three years later, she returns to her home. Hopper discovers her at the abandoned farm next to his, and unable to get her off his mind, immediately starts taking care of her. I love that he dropped off coffee for her and fed her. When danger came back for Nysa, the only choice was for her to move in with Hopper. From there, the story has so many sweet moments, most of which include Hopper’s daughter Maddie, and eventually lead to some fantastic steam as well. This small town, single dad, heroine on the run, forced proximity, romantic suspense was a sweet and thrilling story filled with heart and a tantalizing storyline that teases what’s to come.
In audio, this story is deliciously performed by Connor Crais and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker. I adore Connor as a single dad and Stephanie was simply fantastic as Nysa. They both added to the suspense and passion of the story and Connor got to let his growly side out when the plot took a suspenseful turn. Hopper and Nysa were characters who are easy to love and their instalove connection made sense in the context of the story. Maddie was a super cute character that helped bring the MCs together and I love how she was portrayed by the narrators. Overall, this is an enjoyable light read with a bit of suspense, a slightly dysfunctional family with a tragic past, and a sweet romance. I’m quite intrigued about the criminal organization that is plaguing the small town and how it all fits into the series at large.
