Wayne D. Dundee introduces a bold new hero in Braska, a gripping tale of loyalty, redemption, and justice in the untamed West.

Fueled by anger and a need for answers, Braska sets out across the rugged frontier to track him down. Along the way, he battles lawless men, faces dangerous terrain, and proves his grit and decency despite the “ex-con” label that shadows him. The trail leads him to a remote corner of New Mexico, where Braska will confront not only his brother’s choices but also the kind of man he wants to be.
With danger at every turn and his past weighing heavy, Braska’s journey is one of justice, courage, and survival in a land as unforgiving as the men who roam it.
Join Braska on the first steps of an unforgettable journey, where courage is tested, bonds are broken, and justice rides tall in the saddle.

Braska (Virgil Smith) makes a sacrifice to save his brother after a shootout in the saloon goes bad. Braska's little brother accidentally shot a man during a confrontation in the bar and Braska took the blame as he just wanted to be a drifter and his brother wanted to take care of the family ranch. Six years later Braska returns and finds the family ranch had new owners and his little brother had joined a ruthless bunch of outlaws. Braska wants to find his brother and get some answers but the outlaw band also wants to find him as he disappeared after the robbery with the money. There is action along the way for wester loving readers. It was hard to put this book down as something was always happening.
Good characters and progress in the developed story
I have to admit that I have been able to read a lot due to being messed up in a car accident. I stick to Kindle unlimited mostly and I don't have the cash to buy books. Fortunately, there is more than enough to get by on. This book is an excellent example of what is available. You can just get by and all will be well. I recommend this series for good 4 stars and You will be happy. Try it out.
Just like I like my westerns busy and full of gun play. Nice to see bad guys get justice. Because the story was in a neck of woods I'm familiar with loved the name Braska. Thanks for entertaining me a couple days.
I liked the cover and the title, plus I've read your other works. I like your stories, and the fact they provide accurate descriptions of Black Americans at that time on our history.
Enjoyed the book, interesting read! It didn't turn out the way I thought it would, but it was ok. I thought book two would follow with Braska winding up as the Sheriff back at home!!
Characters developed soundly without fancy or frills, one man stands by his core and others join him. Those that create issues are the type of people you enjoy being bested. Looking forward to next book due out shortly.
Mr Dundee is a new author for me, this is a good story and well worth the read for western story readers, I’ve already bought the second book and will start it as soon as I’m done here.
This was one of the best westerns I have ever perused. Great characters, superb intrigue, and written with a velvet touch. Dundee is one of the top three or four writers of western novels. Excellent work.
It ended well but not permanently for him and the girl. Lots of pain and grief. Lots of heroic action. A true western. Great painting the town of Tulamorow.
The story was. Hard to put down. Was not what I expected but put together well. Braska promised to take Lucille to New Orleans but his brother’s burial would come first. Keep up the great work.
