As the new scholarship girl at the prestigious Emberwell College, everyone treats me like an outsider. But the ice-cold star player of the hockey team, Victor, outright hates me, and all because I saw something I shouldn’t have. Every chance he gets, he’s taunting or humiliating me.
Then I start seeing him everywhere. He follows me home and shows up wherever I go. He’s there when I wake up in the middle of the night. Always watching me. Obsessed with my every move. Triggering all my traumas.
He says he’ll ruin me, but the heat simmering between us just might be enough to melt his icy exterior... or burn us both to ashes.
This is the first installment in the Emberwell College series. It is not intended for readers under eighteen years of age due to language and content. Single POV. Cliffhanger.

I enjoyed reading this book this story had me hooked, the story was written with a cliffhanger and the characters were intriguing. This was about Emberwell College prestigious, expensive university. Victor is a popular and good looking guy hockey player and a bully most of the time. Noemi a young girl that worked hard to get a scholarship and was given permission to live at home. Everyone looks at her that she doesn't belong, with the clothes she wears, then there's Victor he bully's her tells her to leave that she doesn't belong then he would say really nice things and that makes her frustrated. She was tutoring Victor then said something to him he got up and left her in the library, when she got up to go the door was locked in and she could see a fire before she knew it she was coughing from the smell laying on the floor. I need to read the next book so see if Noemi is alive.

Eek-I wanted to like this book more. It had potential, but it just really fell flat. Noemi, the FMC, is a scholarship student to a prestigious, expensive university. Victor, the MMC, the star of the hockey team and the bully in this novel, is a huge jerk. However, the writing is sporadic and jerky. The plot is hard to follow and Victor seems to be just a bully for no real reason, until the very end and even then it’s questionable. The ending is a cliffhanger and I hope future novels get better with time.

The story was hard to follow. Written in one POV. It was a confusing story to follow….. The character development was poorly written. The FMC was all over the place. The MMC same thing. It zig zagged so much I could not follow the flow.
I really wanted to love it, but this story was all over the place and that cliffhanger... I didn't like that for sure. There is a 50/50 chance that I will read the next book - but honestly, it's just because I want to see if Victor is redeemable. I'm not sure yet, but time will tell.
