~ AHHHHHHHH YALL THAT MOMENT HAD ME GIGGLING SO HARD 🦋🤭🤸♀️
no one will beat caesar as the most unhinged, obsessed, toxic man. maybe zhenya (from codename anasatsia) but i personally think caesar has him beat. and leewon is one of the best manhwa main characters ever I SAID WHAT I SAID 💅 this is literally the most insane shit i've ever read, even during my reread, my jaw still drops. i was able to enjoy this even more the second time around because i just can't get over how caesar is the most red flag but he can be so cute??? i don't know how to explain it, he's just a major simp for leewon.
a few notes after my rr:
- the fact that leewon can leave THE caesar alexandrovich sergeyev speechless? 😮💨 the power leewon has 🤌🤌
- episode 13. "i pity the men who long for you" caesar knows he's got a prize and he'll do anything to keep it 😌
- episode 27. caesar in bed moving bc realized leewon left the bed so he moves his head to lay on leewon's pillow and rubs his face into it 😭 MY HEART
- pretty much all the middle chapters are a complete mindfuck and then we get to epsiode 52 and it's back to wholesome cute shit. caesar talking to leewon on the phone and says bye to him and kisses the phone 🥺

wtf did i just read??? i knew some shit was going to go down, but chapter 35!?!? iykyk. what the actual fuck! i was expecting something insane to happen but that still made my jaw drop. caesar will go to any limit to make sure leewon stays by his side. he doesn't care if he ends up hurting leewon in the process, as long as leewon can't leave him. caeser did some unspeakable things and leewon forgave him too easily. this actually surprised me because leewon is really intelligent and has a good head on his shoulders, and sticks up for himself. it felt like what caesar did was completely brushed off the shoulder and then the season abruptly ended. but then again, there is nothing you can really do to redeem what ceaser did...💀 so i can also understand why the author moved past it fast. do i think the author should have done it this way? of course not. but what do we really expect for a man like caesar? they have a very toxic love, so i wasn’t surprised when leewon moved on from it quickly. maybe we'll see more of it explored in the side stories.
however, it's not to say i didn't like this. i still had a very entertaining time and i love how unhinged casear is for leeewon. a lot of these manhwa are toxic and unhealthy as fuck so i go with the flow or i won't be able to enjoy them. so if you can handle the TWs, throw out all morals, expect THE WORST, and hold tight for the ride, i recommend this. but seriously, check TWs. caesar is probably the most psychotic mc i've ever read.
the main story goes until chapter 52 but there is 80+ chapters in total but the rest are side stories. so i'm looking forward to starting those 👀

i adored this first season (chapters 1-24)! their first meeting is super cliche, where leewon is running and collides directly into caesar where caesar catches him around the waist. idk but i probably stared at that panel for 10 minutes because their size difference is so perfect. i swear size difference hits different in manhwa. there isn't many people who are taller than leewon but caesar makes him look so tiny. it was so cute it made me swoon hard. caesar is so tall he ducks his head to enter doorways. the instant obsession here was perfection. i love how caeasr immediately started doing anything to be around leewon or talk to him. he is truly a man obsessed and it's only the beginning. they had so many cute moments that i was not expecting, especially from a russian psychopath mafia leader. i need more unhinged caesar doing anything to protect his leewon in the next season.

i'm so excited to experience the unhinged/clingy/possessive/obsessive vibes that are caesar and leewon. i'm going to read the manhwa first and then the novel. the art is so different than what i've seen so far but so beautiful. leewon is so fucking cute it makes me want to cry. and caesar?? why is this man the size of a literal tree....i mean i'm not complaining though.

Perfection. ✨ My friend Q knows me so well to tell me this should be the first BL manhwa I get back to after a long time of not reading any. 🥰 Literally couldn't ask for anything more. Caesar is PERFECT. Leewon is suuuper good. The spice is so fucking hot and I love how obsessed they are with each other. The dark romance dynamics are so entirely my jam! 🥵 The mafia vibes are great, but let's be real, we're here for Caesar and Leewon being unapologetic freaks together. 😌
I can't wait for more!!! 👀

Skip chapters 42 & most of 43 and it’d be 4 stars easy but those chapters were so unnecessary to the plot and made the ml so unforgivable that it ruined the whole experience… also the ending was kinda disappointing and didn’t wrap things up properly.

Ich bin eigentlich nicht so der Fan von koreanischen Mangas, weil die Stories oft nichts für mich sind und voll mit Tropes/Triggerwarnings sind, die ich nich brauch :D aber bei Mafia-Thema musste ich dann doch zugreifen und ich bin sehr positiv überrascht, bis jetzt (und ich wette das ändert sich noch) wurde immerhin noch niemand vergewaltigt oder hat irgendwas mit nem komischen Untergrundsexclub/sexsklaven oder onst was zu tun.
Und was mir besonders gefällt, ist das Yiwon so verdammt schlagfertig ist und sich zumindest äußerlich nicht wirklich von dem Mafiaboss einschüchtenr lässt - wer geht schon mit einem Füllfederhalter auf einen Mafiaboss los :D nur weil sich dieser angeblich nicht an einen erinnert.
Und er geniert sich auch nicht, weil er weiß was ich will - ein Kuss für die unterlagen in einem Verhandlungsprozess? Der Zar muss den Satz nichtmal aussprechen, da wird er schon geknutscht. Ich liebe sowas. Von verschüchterten Ukes hab ich wirklich schon lange genug.
Aber da die ganze Story auch verdammt ernst ist, gehe ich stark davon aus, dass es ähnlich wie Twittering Birds never fly sehr schnell, sehr extrem düster, dramatisch, und voller triggertropes sein wird.

Ich hab einfach alles gemocht, was nicht mit Mafia zutun hatte in einem Mafia Manwha lol. Ich mochte den Schnee, das Gewächshaus und als wir Caesar in einem kuscheligen Pullover gesehen haben. Der Rest? 'Interest at First Sight' auf Caesars Seite, Korruption, andere Machenschaften und der 'Slap-and-Kiss' Trope. Ich mochte auch nicht, dass Nicht für mich. :(

This is definitely not a fluffy manhwa but it was so good. I loved Lee Won’s descent into Caesar’s level of madness. Their relationship isn’t normal or healthy by any means but the title suits them & I hope there are more side stories because I really enjoy their dynamic.

The ending is just perfect. I wish maybe there were more chapters about Tsar devolving more (but he devolved a lot through the serie so i'm not that complaining)

Usaré este volumen para calificar todo el manhwa completo. La verdad me confundía un poco pero el final es aceptable, supongo. Leewon fue el personaje que más me gustó. Caesar me daba dolor de cabeza. ( o´ｪ｀o)

Questo manhwa è uno di quei posti nei quali dei bei disegni mi hanno portato disarmata, e dove avrei avuto bisogno della pistola.

Non mi pento delle 5 stelle.
è una storia che prende a piene mani il topos "mafia" e ne tira fuori qualcosa di davvero interessante: niente mistificazione dei mafiosi, niente romanticizzazione della mafia in sé. Viene fatto capire chiaramente come Ceasar NON sia una brava persona e come quello che faccia sia praticamente sempre illegale. Questo significa che leggere come un avvocato (Lee-won) si possa destreggiare tra l'ossessione che questo mafioso russo ha per lui, e sfruttarlo per ottenere informazioni per mettere in carcere altri mafiosi, sia estremamente divertente. Il tutto mentre Lee-won stesso capisce che forse neanche lui è questa brava persona che crede d'essere.
Chef kiss per quanto mi riguarda.
Piccola postilla sull'edizione in sé e meno sull'opera: non avevo apprezzato alcune scelte grafiche come le rose fuori fuoco attorno ai protagonisti o l'aver messo dietro alle scritte questo alone bianco-rossastro e credevo fosse stata una cattiva scelta della casa editrice e invece a vedere pure l'edizione originale ha la stessa grafica, mi scuso mentalmente con chiunque abbia insultato senza colpa.

Rosas y champán es un mafia romance que ha sido mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. Un abogado mucho más agresivo de lo imaginado (mí cara un cuadro) y un zar sensual que ufff 🛐
El tomo es vicio de placer culposo absoluto, y eso qué todavía esta arrancando pero me tiene enganchada.
Adoro mil la mecánica del par. El zar es muy de chinchar y el abogado tiene una reacción muy bestia que lo hace divertido y suuuuper fangirleable.
También tiene un toque oscuro que no lo hace para todo el público pero a quien le guste, aaaaaay que gusto 🤭
