I ran from my wedding… and straight into his arms. One minute, I was walking down the aisle. The next, I was speeding down the highway in a storm. Now I’m stranded. Soaking wet. Face-to-face with the world’s grumpiest café owner. Noah Bennett doesn’t do messy. Doesn’t do strangers. And definitely doesn’t do runaway brides. Too bad the whole town thinks we’re engaged. A fake fiancée? Fine. A few lies. A couple of fake dates. One very smug, very judgmental cat. Easy. Until Noah looks at me like that. Until his touch feels a little too real. Until my past comes knocking… And suddenly, running isn’t an option.A swoony, grumpy-sunshine romance packed with small-town charm, slow-burn tension, and a fake engagement that’s starting to feel very real.
Running Towards Her Future - Emma didn’t have a plan when she escaped her wedding, but fate delivered her into the arms of Noah, who wasn’t looking for a relationship or drama. However, Emma and Noah found themselves in a situation where they had to fake a relationship. Spending time together led to an unexpected attraction, but Emma and Noah’s happiness didn’t last long, as her past came to disrupt their budding romance. Luckily, Emma and Noah acknowledged their feelings for each other, so they could have a chance at a happy future together. You will enjoy reading this sweet, fun read just as much as I did and be happy to recommend it.
I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cat tail cafe. A sweet tale centered at the small coffee shop in a sleepy little town. With characters that range from the town matchmaker, a quiet steady cafe owner, the runaway bride that stumbled in one day and the cat who oversees it all from a sunny window perch. In an attempt to escape a life she no longer wants the bride settles in with the matchmaker’s mistaken understanding that something exists with the cafe owner. There are silent phone calls. Hushed conversations. Stolen glances and guesses at the connection. There is also acceptance. There are ideas and plans. There are confrontations and confessions. There is a change in everyone’s life with the new comer to town.
Emma fled her wedding without a plan, but fate delivered her into Noah's arms. Noah wasn't looking for drama or a relationship. But the two find themselves in a position where they feel they need to fake a relationship. Sweet, fun read although I felt the romance was rushed after Emma had just decided not to marry her fiance. There were a lot of interesting characters in the town, including one who loves to play matchmaker. I received an ARC copy of the book and this is my honest review.
Trust is hard earned and or learned. Your gut usually gives you the urge to but after being burned , it is difficult to find again. A great story of patience, encouragement and trust that is real. The community gets behind them when they need it the most
RUNAWAY AND MOCHA is a lovely story of romance borne from the ashes of the controlling expectations of others. It is a sweet, clean, and gentle tale of love found in the most unexpected time and place.
Great quick read about Emma and Noah. By a misunderstanding, this couple help each other navigate what Fate has brought them together and for what purpose. Enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Jenny's future work.
