Getting over the death of my fiancé wasn’t how I imagined spending my late thirties. Especially when the man who came to pull me from the wreckage of my grief is his younger brother— Roman. The one constant in my life no matter how difficult things got.
From the moment I met Roman Huxley, he had my attention. But I told myself there was no room for a man fifteen years younger than me—especially one with his whole life ahead of him.
He’s sweet, emotionally mature, and, let’s be honest, ridiculously sexy. He plans to help me heal by ticking off items on my bucket list before I turn forty. But somewhere between the fun and adventure, I fell for him.
I can see why Roman is a catch. Any woman would be lucky to have him. But what happens when I’m the only woman he wants?
I was very intrigued from the tropes of this book:
• love after loss • reverse age gap • SLOW burn • ex fiancés brother • friends to lovers
I honestly don’t think I could say much for fear of giving the story line away. I enjoyed the story and the characters. I felt like it was rushed in a few spots and also slow in some. But overall an enjoyable read! Grief is weird and hard and I felt for the characters in this story. Sweet Tom 🥹 such a special soul of a human!
Tropes include: Love after loss, reverse age gap, exs brother, unexpected love, slow burn, friend to lovers. Roman and Waverly (Kensi) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶 HEA 💛 Standalone
What can I say other than I absolutely LOVED this book form start to finish.
When We Meet Again was an emotionally raw story of a woman who was learning to find her way back to who she REALLY was before she shrunk herself down for her fiancé.
I related to this story on so many levels and loved the character development for both Waverly & Roman.
There was sorrow, death, self discovery, sweet and sexy moments, and such an incredible storyline. And of course.... the plot twist I WAS NOT expecting..
I 10/10 recommend this book if you are a strong female who feels like you've your way, lost yourself. Whether it be to a career, your children, or a man. This one hits all the feels.
This book started off pretty strong and the ending was somewhat satisfying but the middle was all over the place. And there were plot holes throughout. Like in the beginning she says she looks back and sees Patrick swept away by the wave but then later talks about how she lost track of him when he went to help a family. Then Patrick was not interested in the same things and as outgoing so he pushed her to spend time with Roman when he knew he had a thing for her but then suddenly it’s too much and he forces him away? The shock factor of Patrick being alive was what kept me from DNFing this book but even that was very poorly executed.

So good. I love the way the writing style shifts depending on the perspective of the individual character we’re hearing the story from. The slow burn is delicious. Kellie Storm’s character building made me feel as though I knew these characters in my own real life. Highly recommend this story.
