Diviner's Fate

Rate this book
The prophecy has awoken and Maea’s final task has begun.
War is brewing between Danhad and Neaux. The new queen of Neaux, Arlene, sits uneasy on her throne, and she will not rest until she has vengeance against Danhad. Maea is trapped by duty both to Arlene and to her homeland. She fought to prevent the war, but now it seems inevitable. As tensions mount, all eyes turn to the south and the tribes of the Biski to turn the tides in the war. Maea too feels drawn to the south. The Oracle holds the key to learning more about her powers; it is her last hope to save Johai.
Danhad and Neaux are not the only one with their sights set on the Biski. Johai, newly possessed, is gathering power and he too wants a Biski alliance. Visions of Johai haunt Maea’s dreams and she feels his presence both waking and sleeping. Destiny is calling them. They are drawn together by an invisible bond, and though Johai is no longer the man she once knew, she cannot deny the lethal attraction she feels for him.
The only way to save Johai is to out maneuver the specter that controls him. Maea will play the deadliest game yet. If she wins, she will save not only Johai but all the kingdoms. The only question remains: is she prepared to pay the ultimate price for love?

Mind Blowing

This final book in the series is the best. Page tuner, characters developed well, twist and turns, plenty of action and love.
I hope the author continues the series and she did a great job with this final book.

While I enjoyed Nicolette's first and second books in this series, I was frustrated by being left in the dark about crucial points in the plot.

After reading Diviner's Fate, I have to say it was worth the wait. This book is a brilliantly crafted third installment in the Diviner series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I felt the characters finally matured and grew into a unique presence and personality, which made this a pleasure to read.

A fantasy novel of epic proportions with great twists and turns and a plot that will keep you riveted and glad you came back for the conclusion of this series.

I am really looking forward to the next series of novels in this setting.

Well she has done it again! Nicolette has truely out did herself with this book.

This story has been amazing from the start. There was many twists and turns. As you know Nicolette loves her plots, and did she have me on the edge of my seat with this one. There was many 'oh god' moments. I had no idea how this was going to end, I'm happy the way it ended.

I would definately recommend reading this story as well as the two before this one.

Diviner’s Fate by Nicolette Andrews is book three in the Diviner’s Trilogy that I listened to on audio narrated by Anna Castigloni. This series is outside my usual reading genre but I highly enjoyed it. I think Nicolette did a great job wrapping up the trilogy. Anna did a great job narrating. I enjoyed the different voices she uses for the different characters. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys Fantasy Royal Books.

This story concludes nicely

The trilogy ends with loose ends tied up nicely. We are introduced briefly to the children that will take the story in a new direction. Overall, the books are well written. A few editing snafus exist but not enough to detract. These were enjoyable to read.

This review is based on an audio-book that I received. It is an honest review and the complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating.

'Divener's Fate' by Nicolette Andrews is the story of Maea.
This is the last audio-book in "Diviner' Series.
This series has 3 books.
This audio-book is about 11 hours and 43 minutes long and has closed end. But also open to start a new series.

The narrator, Anna Castiglioni has a nice and soft spoken voice. Her voice is very clear. She is a nice narrator to listen to when you get used to her.

This book is the last book from the 'Diviner's' Series.
I really liked this book very much. This is a perfect closure for me. It took me a bit longer to read it because of a busy period in my life. But when I wasn't reading it I was craving it and waiting to be able to pick it up again.
I had so many questions and just needed to know what happened and this book kept be going right from the beginning with the perfect amount of twists and turns and keeping my emotions where they should have been.
I was on the edge of my seat in the last few chapters as all the players came into play, all the plans and schemes came to fruition and you were hoping that everything turned out all right. The characters were so believable that you were invested in them winning. I was saddened about some of the losses. very sad.

It was a fantastic book and I cannot wait to read more by Nicolette Andrews. I can recommend this book and of course the first 2 books of the series to anyone who likes well-conceived and also some complex storylines. But becarefull! If you do not pay attention, then you quickly lose the thread of the story.
At the end of the story I still had 1 urgent question. Is this book the end of the story? Or the start of a new adventure?

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

Once again, this was a wonderful story. This whole series has been so well written, so well narrated and so wonderful that I hate to see it come to an end. Like the previous stories in the series, the characters are so well developed and interesting, the story world is well built and believable. I just don't have any negative comments at all. This is a great book and I highly recommend the series to all fantasy lovers.

Holy cow!! That was an epic finish to the series. This book does not lack on the feels. Nicolette still delivers with the intrigue that has remained constant throughout the series but this book felt different. We met an entirely new culture and see the roots of Maea. The final players of the game are revealed and the final chapters will not release you until the very last word.

the best of the series but I think you have to listen / read all three to not be lost and even so I found myself going back to keep myself straight on characters because there are so many moving pieces to this series. twists and turns continue but all is finally brought to light for a HEA for Maea. Epilogue leaves a spin off possible!

This has been a finale that I was hoping for in one way and scared of at the same time. So many things happened that were expected and more that was unexpected. Just glad for the HEA. The narrator did a great job with this trilogy!

A Satisfying Conclusion

After much intrigue, Maea's fate is revealed along with a small glimpse into her future life. As in the other two books, there are numerous twists and turns with the characters. This trilogy was different and entertaining.

This book was a bit of a disappointment compared to the other two before it. The first two books had me hooked with mystery and suspense. I was bingeing on those books. Then I got this one and well....... It started it well enough but eventually I began to see the flaws of the plot, and once the mystery and suspense faded, so too my interest in reading this book.

I noticed that many ideas from the previous books were being recycled making the plot repetitive and bland having to see them for a third time. The series jumped from PG-13 content to PG-17. The last two books, they were little teases of sensual action, but Diviner's Fate it was like "here it is!" Now, it was mild compared to an erotic novel, but I felt that if this was the plan, the author had better opportunities in the previous novels and I probably would have accepted the content better. You could have gotten away with it in the middle, but not the end. It was just way too unexpected.

I got annoyed and frustrated about this "prophecy" that was beat over the readers because there was "only one way" it was going to end, yet conveniently, the prophecy was misinterpreted and did not have to end the way readers were constantly fed to believe. And speaking about convenience, there were characters that showed no great power or value to the plot, but suddenly became pivotally to end and acted as 'ex-machinas' so often that I was like "oh wow, now you have this power that can help but you hid along!". I felt that these "hidden powers" were only means to push the story along which is fair, but it should not have been so blatantly obvious. It should have been masterfully woven in, not stuck in like a pin into some cloth.

What hurt my heart the most though, was to see supporting characters die or suffer unnecessarily for the protagonist, whom I was losing love and respect for because of silly yet "necessary" decisions she made, to complete the "prophecy". I have seen it other novels, but not to the extent where I felt that all the supporting characters that I grew to love ended up getting the raw end of the stick. My heart was crushed. I just stopped caring and by chapter nineteen, I just skimmed to the end. The passion and drive was gone. There no more mystery or suspense, awesome character got crappy ending's, but conveniently, our heroine and her love interest lived happily ever after........... Until the next saga. After this third book, I think I'm going to have to break-up with this story. It was fun ride with the first two, but the last one........ was not satisfied.

It was good to see the plots & machinations, doubts & insecurities etc. resolved in satisfactory, if somewhat circuitous, ways at the end. There is little question that Maea had to shake off her own worries and questions in order to complete the tasks before her. Once that happened, the plot intensified in a most acceptable fashion. Her own foreseen future, it seems, was not cast in stone nor even within the waters. Diviner or not, none of us is capable of telling even our own destiny. Things can be altered, maybe through a chance acquaintance or, perhaps, by some overt action of our own & those around us. Truth be told, do we even want to know what tomorrow might bring? Something to ponder I think.
