Since I was a young girl, I've been hidden away so I won't be claimed by a monster.
At the age of ten, I was declared tainted by a prophet. Doomed to one day bear a mark that will connect me to a vampire.
My parents abandoned me. Leaving me at the mercy of their church—the Order of Saint Benedict. For nearly a decade, I was forced to live underground and subjected to countless cruelties.
But everything changes the day a priest takes pity and rescues me.
While on the run, the cursed mark appears on my skin. And I become one of the few women in the world a vampire can turn.
One night, I wake up in the arms of a monster claiming to be my fated.
With black hair, sharp cheekbones, and lips begging to be kissed, he looks like the Devil incarnate. And promises me an eternity full of endless bliss…
I'm really enjoying this series. The world building is awesome and the storyline very original. It isn't the fastest paced and internal dialogue heavy, but it easily held my attention until the end. I love the banter between all the "family" members and am super invested in all their outcomes. Wanted can be read as a standalone, but definitely enjoyed more when read in series order. The books do have overarching story arcs that continue from book to book, so while the couple gets their HEA, the series has a cliffy. Can't wait to see who gets their happy ending next!
I forgot just how much religious trauma goes into the begining of these series, because damn. Also as much as I do enjoy the family dynamic of this vampire coven I wish there was more of it and it wasn't until the very end that we get it. This book honestly felt like it took forever. As much as I did like the end banter between Raphael and Alena, the insta love just rubbed me the wrong way. I wish there was just a little more nurturing in the relationship because the girl should have insane trust issues after the bullshit she went through. Like Damn. Also, I like how there's a war that's starting in the first book and we barely get anything from it in this one. This series has so much potential but man I feel like I'm getting scraps. I don't know it's almost like the amount of religious trauma and torture we read, we're not rewarded with the amount of feminine rage to justify it all. Now am I going to continue the series, yes. I secretly hope that Ambrose gets a second chance mate. I just want him to have a happy ending okay!? I like that crazy dancing vampire.
Wanted by Izzy Sweet and Sean Moriarty is the intensely shocking story of Raphael and Alena. She’s been dealing with a lot since the age of ten…much of which she wants to forget. She’s given a label and suffers for years. Now, the truth slowly comes out…and she realizes that there may be more to her life that what she was originally told. There are also others in the background that are actively working towards an ending she knows nothing about….
FANTASTIC read!!! Alena is thankfully unaware of circumstances surrounding her…and then Raphael shows up out of nowhere. Raphael has known for some time who she is….and now, it’s a fight to the finish…freaking amazing read!!!
I love the world the authors built. Love the family love and banter. I also like the relationship they’re building with the wolfs. The only issue I had that was frustrating was when they don’t flipping say what the hell is going on! It’s too suspenseful! 😆 Even Ralp said it, “is there a f*ucken Ecco in there?!” The ending, too! “Oh it all makes sense” like WHAT?! What makes sense? Darn it 😭 I do think I know what it is! 😆
I liked the FL. I feel so bad for her. I found myself making notes on some of the parts I highlighted. Some of her treatment, sadly, brought up some of my childhood bs. Sign. I’m really glad she found Ralph. I was annoyed when they found her and instead of explaining anything, even a little, they kinda just overwhelmed her. Started calling her little sister. There’s a beautiful quote that stood out “you’re not broken you were just missing a piece” that’s a very beautiful quote. Totally fitting her. Aside from all the pain her mind was not broken. She was strong and still had empathy. Wanting to help the priest even if she runs the risk of being captured again.
Now. Ralph. I actually really liked him. Not the withholding parts but I get it. He waited so long and now it’s there! Still a little annoying. Just talk to her a little bit. But definitely don’t use the word “tainted” and run off to rampage. He was so hurt. Poor guy.
I want more of Maddox. Can’t help it! I want to prod the quiet ones 😆 If I were in that fancy world he would have turned me into a ghoul for being annoying! 🤣
I also like the change in slang. We’re use to the Victorian old English and such but here? “Gag me with a spoon” I was laughing 🤣 I’m curious where the authors got their inspiration for the characters. I would love to hangout with a group like them. Just shooting the sh*t. Definitely not boring. I’m looking forward to the next book! Also! Please give us a series with the wolfs. I want to know what happens to the wolf who was carrying the limp female hunter! ❤️
I’ve waited patiently (not so patiently) for Izzy Sweet and Sean Moriarty to come out with the second installment of The Un-Series. They did not disappoint. This book had it all. Angst, turmoil, revenge, and so much more. Whenever I pick up a book by these two, I never think they can beat their last one. They surpassed themselves once again. This story follows Raphael and Alena and the battle against the Order. We see members from Raphael’s coven, whom I missed from Unwilling, come back with a vengeance to help Raphael and Alena. The pain and torture that Alena endured jumped off the page with the detailed writing from Izzy and Sean. I felt her pain but so much more from her. This is a series you do not want to miss. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but Alena is strength reincarnated, and with the help of her ‘new family,’ nothing will stop her from getting her revenge. It’s definitely a 5-star read. I couldn’t put it down until I was finished reading it. This book captivates you from the first page and will hold your interest throughout its entirety.
Izzy and Sean do it again! Love this new addition to the Un series. I feel like we got a better look into the Order and the main conflict in the series in this one. The puzzle pieces keep lining up and I am so invested in this mystery. In the first one we left on a bit of a cliffhanger with Raphael but this one didn’t leave us there so I’m interested to see who pops up in the next one. Raphael was the alpha male we love and Alena was so internally strong. The vampire powers she manifests are interesting and so “on target” with who she is prior to the change.
What Alena went through was horrible, especially since it started when she was 10, like wtf. If I could get my hands on her parents' oof, they'd be goners.
Also, it's amazing that we saw Chloe's old roommate in Alena's flash back like knowing what happens to her it's like a "oooh you get what's coming to you just you wait.." kinda moment.
I thoroughly enjoyed the scene where Raphael is clearing out the corruption in the bond. That and the whole scene prior with the prophet guy was pretty intense. Can't wait for the next book! I want Ambrose to get a happy ending 😩
I was beyond excited to finally get a chance to read the second book in this series and revisit this humorous yet passionate group of vampires. Raph and Alena's story is full of raw emotion and spice. Picking up right where the first book leaves off we get to see the two of them grow in a way that will leave your heart flutter and stutter! Moriarty and Sweet always have a way of pulling the reader in deep with the character and the worlds that they've built for their stories. Wanted and no exception to that rule.
This was a perfect follow up book and I'm here for it. The book dives right in and at first I was a little disoriented until I realized that I was meant to feel that way because our FMC was feeling that. One thing I've always loved about the writing style of Sean and Izzy is that they immerse you into the world and lives of their characters. You feel their pain and joy and everything in between. There are a few side characters that I can't wait to see more of in the coming books of the series!!
It’s a continuation of a world of paranormal creatures, betrayal, fated mates and a coven of found family. The second book in the Un series is a bit faster-paced than the first. We see Alena from the start of when her life turns tragic, to Raphael coming into her life and learning more about The Order. So much is making sense and I still have lots of questions! I want to know more about Ambrose, an odd secondary character with maybe a broken heart? I feel invested in these characters. Ends on a cliffhanger & I’ll be hanging out for the next book.
Alena has been abandoned by everyone she has ever known. And left in a church to go through things that no one should ever have to go through. Until she finds someone who helps free her from the church and she meets her soul mark Raphael. Who helps her to work through all that she had been through. Even when a force that fights to keep them apart finds her and takes her for themselves. ALena fights to free herself, and Raphael fights to get their bond back stronger than ever. This is a must-read book. It was hard to put down. Sorry that it had to end.
3 stars feels too high for the quality of the book but I was entertained so I can’t go any lower. Essentially this is the second book but it said standalone so I assumed I could read it and understand everything, and at first I could… until I got one third of the way through and suddenly everything was very confusing. The world building is wayyyy off, the character relationships don’t really make any sense at all, and the plot is very messy. This book needed two more rounds of editing to make sense.
I love this new take on vampires. Whilst I did guess the answer about the ‘bad guys’ in book one it definitely didn’t detract from this book at all. I’m a sucker for a good romance story. The obviously very fictional Order of St Benedict’s are outstanding in portraying that whole “power corrupts” thing.
So despite the gore and casual violence this was an absolute joy to read. Fingers crossed that there’ll be more in the future.
First, while this is a standalone, it’s in a interconnected series. Book 1 should be read first so you don’t miss the background and what previously happened. I enjoyed Raphael and Alena’s story. He showed her how incredibly valuable and loved she was and she gave him love and fun in return. I liked their inner beasts and how cute Alena is about it. Ambrose’s story is so sad and I really do hope there’s a HEA for him. I cannot wait for the next book.
Oh man HOW I LOVED THIS BOOK. It’s the second in a series. I could not put this book down. It was captivating. I loved the world building, the found family. It’s a connected standalone. Highly recommend reading the first book then this one. My heart hurt for Alena. She is amazing and I’m so Glad the Raphael found her and showed her everything she was ment to be. It’s one of the sexiest Vampire books Out there. Happy reading!
OMG, this second book in the Un series was worth the wait. Raphael gets his happy ending when he finds his soul’s mark. Since the age of ten Alena was held captive. The interactions between them were so intense and hilarious 😂. “Cho Cho MF” I love that part, I laughed so hard at that scene. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I loved the first book more but this was great too my only issue was so much was brought to the surface but none of the questions were answered. Like I understand this was Raphael book but still some questions could have been answered especially since we’ve waited so long for this book 😂
After waiting (not so) patiently for another book in the Un series I gotta admit.......Raphael and Alena were pretty frickin awesome! There was the perfect balance of spice and emotion. I love that we find out so much about not only The Order, but her background as well. I can't wait to see who's up next in this series!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Wow ! Just Wow ! I thought this series couldn’t get better than the first but i was so wrong. i absolutely loved this book and i got left with so many questions at the end ! i will literally be counting down the second for book 3 to come out . This has definitely turned into one of my top 5 favorite series so far !
The Prophet is one crazy and demented character. The things Alena goes through are horrible. I love the way Raphael is so fiercely protective and loving with Alena. The war with the Order is getting worse and just when I thought The Prophet would be terminated, he’s blinked away! I’m now waiting to see where this goes. Also hoping Ambrose finds a HEA.
This series had so much potential but the second book was nearly impossible to read. Most of the book felt like we weren’t moving the plot forward at all, and the rest of it was just sort of dull.
Would love it if Ambrose got a book, he’s actually interesting. But Raph was just boring and predictable.
I could not put this down! The creativity and imaginations of Sean and Izzy blows my mind. I just kept asking myself how and where do they come up with this!!!
True to form they do not disappoint and I can't wait to see what comes next in this series!
Loving this series. It's hard not to get hooked as you read. My only wish (because it had been so long since I read book 1) is that I had refreshed my memory of the storyline. That's on me. Can't wait to see who is next.
Ngl I love the banter in this once everyone gets comfortable with each other. The sibling jabs are fucking hilarious. Chloe throwing Andrei under the bus with the hentai shit was SO FUCKING FUNNY. Can’t wait for the rest of the series!
Omg I waited so long lol and this book was so good, can be read as a standalone but I think there’s some key points in the first book that ties things together in this one and of course the back stories but i can’t wait for the next boo.
This one was not as good as the first book . The story was choppy and scattered . Alena story started off really slow and then went fast . The writing just seemed immature .
I received and e-arc for this book and I LOVED it. I really enjoyed the first one and this second book did not disappoint. I love the fast pacing and all of the banter. BUT I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
