This issue is a solid 4 out of 5 stars but overall I think I'd have to give the anthology as a whole a 3 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately the series is a bit front-loaded in terms of quality stories. If even one of the standout stories were removed, my trio of stars would immediately become a duo.
Still, I wanted to review all of the issues and stories.
Bloodwood Part 1 As there's four parts to this story, I'll share my thoughts in my review of the final issue. I will say though this was a killer introduction.
Once and Future This story injects the Yautja into Arthurian legend. If you don't have an interest in medieval literature this story and its anticlimax will do little to entertain you. Last panel is cool though.
A Place of No Honor A Yautja pays a visit to a gun show. A strong contender for the best story in the entire anthology, it offers a look into the mentality of the Yautja and even makes you share in this particular hunter's dismay.
The first two stories were ok but the third story really hit for me. I love the idea of Predator going to town at a weapons expo. The art was pretty good throughout and the first story could become good as it continues in subsequent issues.
First two stories were great. 2nd one was the best. The 3rd one was flat out a dud. The art is amazing. Overall a decent read and very excited to read more about Predator. So damn cool.
First story: has potential, like that it's based in NSW. Second story: sick art, okay. The tone was weird but still okay. Third story: came in clutch. My absolute favourite of the three. Hope they expand on it.
If you want to see three entertaining and well drawn stories about predators from the movie “Predator” killing shit, read this. It’s great, would recommend and probably read again.
