I really tried to enjoy this book. I liked the story premise and the underlying plot. I felt for Emma, and could understand why she grew so obsessed with revenge. At points I wondered if she was taking things too far, but given what she went though during chapters 1 & 2, I realise it completely messed her up, and she was totally being enabled by friends with benefits (and substances).

Unfortunately the whole book felt really rushed which is why I'm giving it a lower score. Conversations are crammed into paragraphs together, so sometimes I had to read them twice to work out which character has spoken each line. There were also minor typos and grammatical errors are littered throughout which kept distracting me from the story.

I totally get that this was an ARC read, and I hoping some of these issues can get smoothed out to provide a much more enjoyable read for others going forward.

If you like your spice dark and stabby, with graphic descriptions of sexual acts and torture, then you'll probably enjoy this. Just be warned, it is very dark in places.

Man I really feel for the fmc. My heart broke for her with everything she went through. I love a good revenge book, and this is one of the best. I can't suggest this enough. Grab your copy on Heather Renee's website!

This book is filled with scene after scene of twisted steaminess. There is a revenge story line worked in there and it is dark so reader beware. This author is going to be in my faves list.

Hot read!

Wow! That was an intense read. I got this ebook for free, so I gave it a shot, and I was dumbfounded! It’s the first time I’ve ever read such an intense erotic mystery-thriller novel. It was well-written, though at the end, I was hoping for more justice to be served. I would’ve liked it even more if there had been more dialogue and a wider variety of settings. Overall, it was such a hot read!
