Brie Bennett is a submissive in love, but a chain of events will lead her on an unexpected journey around the world. A haunting dream, along with Tono Nosaka’s disappearance, forces an unplanned trip to Japan where tragedy, duty and the allure of Kinbaku take center stage. Brie discovers an enchanting new side to the gentle Master and the compelling reason for his silence.
This first novella of Brie's Submissive in Love series takes you on a tantalizing journey to Tokyo: a land of tradition, beauty and seductive rope play…

I received this book from the author for an honest review.
So I was utterly heart broken when I closed Brie book2. When Red said she didn’t feel the voices calling for another book, I was sooo sad. Then one day I see she is writing about Tono and my hear t LEPT in the air. I needed more with these characters. So now I was like ….New Series? More Brie? WHAT!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. When I got the news that it was, in fact, more Brie…..Dancing and squeeing was heard throughout my house!!
This book starts out really somber and sad. Brie’s connection with Tono is very strong. She knows something is wrong and asks Sir to ehlp her with it. After a few weeks, Brie finds out that Tono is indeed in need of help. So Master books a flight over to Tokyo. We discover that Tono’s father and teacher is going to die. SADNESS is the only way to characterize this book. Seeing out strong and sweet Asian Dom so broken and hurt was awful. But what killed me what the uber big secret he lets out about Brie and his relationship. OMG the stress. However, the secret that he takes Brie and Sir to was HILIRIOUS!! OMG never say it coming!!!
So Brie and Sir are happy and in love but still have no wedding date set. Sir has his demons still and at one time I wanted to kick him in the shin for cutting Brie off. He knows she is super sensitive and at times forgets this about her. However, his apologizes are always sooo sweet and heartfelt.
The sexy times were soooo sexy but then again we expect it right? As usual, the ending of the book gets me super excited for the next installment!! We will be seeing LEA! OMG yes cannot wait for the girls to get together again………..
This was a good story. It righted a wrong at the end of the first Brie series. If you are looking for all the HAWTness that was in the Training Center series you'll be disappointed. There was really only 1 hot scene in the whole book. The ending left room for another book which I hope will be more up beat and fun since it is teased that Lea will be in it, along with some of the other people from the training center.
I will say there were a couple of good lines/quotes in this book.
All in all, I was glad I read it and I'd probably give it a 3.5 if we could add half stars to our ratings. I don't think it deserved a full 4 stars so I stuck with 3. Don't get me wrong though, I will be reading future stories in this series. I look forward to it!
I was really really going to try and wait for this entire series to come out before I started purchasing them but dammit I just couldn't help it! For one, I own the first two books in their serial formats and their compendium formats (I wanted to have copies of all the different covers). For two, its Brie and Sir! I love these two and I was so ecstatic when Red announced she would be continuing the series. Having the first installment revolve so heavily around Tono was a great way to start the new series. I loved his character right from the beginning and he truly inspired me to do some research on the beautiful art of Kinbaku and Japanes Rope Bondage. Truly beautiful. Red's descriptions of Tono performing Kinbaku are so rich I was able to picture how amazing it would look in real life and in honestly sent shivers all over my body. Also, as always, incredibly hot and stimulating sex scenes. I almost get as excited as Brie when it comes to anticipating Sir's next session.
I can't believe I have to wait another month now! I will be impatiently waiting...
That's what I love with Red Phoenix!! She doesn't just promise a good sexy mind blowing story, she delivers it!!! Fell in love with this story as with the previous ones of Brie's. And is not a simple fell in love but a mind blowing one!
This again is part of a series and is a short read. It's a very emotional read that is very well written. It's about loss on several levels. Loss of a loved one through death, loss of a loved one from fate and yet a gain of love and trust. Master Davies is a very understanding Dom, who is secure in his love for Brie and allows her love to be shared with others, knowing she truly loves him and will always respect that love. In this book we see this bond grow and strengthen.
I just felt there was a little bit of magic missing this time in this short book, but not quite sure what it was, but still loved it and look forward to the next and subsequent books
What an unexpectedly emotional read from Red Phoenix. Brie wakes up from a haunting dream about a desolated Tono Nosaka... She and Sir fly off to Tokyo after he confirmed that all is not well with him... The Brie series started out as a full-blown (no pun intended... okay, maybe it was intended) erotica but then morphed into erotic romance. The sex scenes were off the charts, but that's no surprise coming from this author. I'm happy to see Brie and Sir's relationship is doing very well, but of course, with it still being new Sir still has his demons that he won't let Brie know. For now, at least. I can't wait to read the next of this series!
Another stellar release from Red Phoenix. Brie and Sir visit Tono and his family in Japan. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment now.
Excellent story. I have missed Brie. I hope we get to read about her Denver visit. I especially want to read about her reunion with Lea. Those two together are always entertaining.
I was so excited when Red Phoenix decided to continue on with the Brie series. And thankfully, she did not announce the new series too far in advance, so I did not have to wait long to get my hands on the new novella beginning this third chapter in Brie's journey with her Master, Sir. Right from the beginning, this book grabbed me and hung on tight. Red has a gift for drawing the reader in, making them experience the extreme emotions that flow through Brie. I loved that this brought back one of the most favored Doms, Tono. This whole novella is focused on Brie and Tono's spiritual connection, which was explained early in the first series, and it has carried over to each subsequent series. (Cheering loudly!) Brie has grown up a lot so far, but she is still newer to the lifestyle and faces challenges that guide her on her journey. She is very much in love with Sir, but she has a very strong connection to Tono, whom she almost chose to collar, but because Tono's father reacted poorly to her, stating that Tono would not be enough for Brie, she decided that since they had a special bond with his father having taught him Kinbaku, she would not fight for him and chose Thane instead. She has never doubted her choice, but it hasn't always been easy. Tono has always been a fan favorite. His sexy, gentle spirit lures you in. His skill with the rope ensnares you, and when his dominance is thrown in the mix, watch out for flames because he is smoking hot. His Asian flavor and traditions are as sexy as sin, and he has such a kind heart that when he goes missing, Brie feels it from the other side of the world. They have always had an unique connection that borders on magical. Brie finally gets a letter from Tono, but she is still uneasy. Sir agrees that they need to support Tono whether he wants it or not, being that he knows exactly what Tono is going through. Their journey in Japan expands what we know of these three characters. I was captivated from page one to the end, and any Red Phoenix fan will be too. What will happen between Tono and Brie? With emotions running high, will their love ruin everything? How will Sir react to the revelations? What is going to happen to Tono? How will his world look after the tragedies? Of course no Brie book would be complete without a lovely dose of uber sexy Dom/sub situations, and this one does not disappoint. Well, I am going to go jump in a cold shower. Go grab this yummy read up now! All I can say is, welcome back Brie!! Hints at the next installment will have you salivating. Yes!
Red Phoenix is one of those authors you would drop everything for. When I was asked to review Brie’s Tokyo Tryst, EVERYTHING else was put on hold! I mean, it’s ANOTHER freakin’ Brie book! I couldn’t say no! I can’t tell you how incredibly excited I am that Red hasn’t put Brie away for good. This new Submissive in Love Series is going to be EPIC, I just know it!
❝In all my life, I’ve never met a stronger man.❞
Brie’s Tokyo Tryst takes place in…wait for it…TOKYO, and you know what that means! Tono Nosaka and his hypnotizing rope play are BACK! A disturbing dream brings Brie and Sir to Tokyo in search for Tono. Never one to hide her reasonings or emotions, Sir understands right away why Brie has to do this. When they learn that misfortune has fallen upon Tono’s family, Brie will do anything to put a smile back on Tono’s face. Sir understands that Brie might be the only one who will calm Tono and put him at peace, so he stand beside Brie, as well as Tono to be a rock for them both. This tragedy has brought up horrible memories for Sir, and Brie can sense that in her Master right away. Will Brie be able to ease Tono’s pain, as well as her Masters? Let’s just say, everything is better when these three wonderful characters are together and on the same wavelength.
Again, Red Phoenix gives us SO MUCH MORE than just a sexy read with her Brie books. There is always a variety of emotions that these books pull out of me. She keeps us on our toes, and makes damn sure that we experience every laugh, every cry, every moan just like we were in the room with these characters. I will NEVER get enough of these books, and I hope that each journey Brie takes us on, we become that much closer to the characters that we fell in love with at the very beginning!
❝Right now all that exists is you, me, and this moment in time.❞

This is a very sad chapter in the Brie series. Since I have not completed it, I truly hope that the ending of this book isn't the end of the character arc for Tono. He is the one character in all the books I have read that I had a hard time accepting as the choice for the heroine in a love triangle.
If you have read this series you know who Tono is, you might have had some misgivings about Brie choosing Sir instead of him. However, after thinking on it, I know that Sir is the right choice. Brie needs more than what the Kinbaku master can offer.
That being said, I was crushed at the end of this book, and crushed at the heartache in it. I am really hoping that there is a happy ending for Tono.
Synopsis in brief:
Brie and Sir travel to Tokyo to lend support to Tono while his father is on his deathbed. This is sad because Tono is broken, Tono's mother is being very difficult and basically Tono has to put up with her being this way. Brie meets up again with Tono's father on his deathbed where he tells her that he regretted telling Tono that she wasn't right for him. This is crushing because if he hadn't made that proclamation back at the collaring ceremony Brie would have chose Tono instead of braving asking Sir to be her master. Tono's father eventually passes and Brie and Sir are there with the family for the funeral ceremonies.
There is less erotic scenes in this book because of the general nature of the story, but there is a scene where Sir and Brie go out with Tono to offer him a bit of a respite from his trying times.
I received this book by the Author for an honest review.
First of all can I tell you how excited I was to hear there was going to be another Brie and Sir. Yes, you heard me more Brie, Sir, and I hope everyone else. This first installment is full of angst, torment, apologies, and forgiveness. Brie has a gut feeling that something is wrong with Tono. After they receive word that his father is dying Sir arranges it so they can go to Tokyo to be with Tono.
When they arrive they are not fully welcomed by tonos mother but his father is the one that surprises me the most. Tono takes Brie and Sir to his father and his special place and wow never saw that coming but man was it great and and great way to release stress for all. This whole situation with Tono and his dad also brings back the demons for Sir and the way he apologizes to Brie for the way he has been treating her was amazing as usual. I'm in shock when Tono opens up and tells Brie what has been bothering him and then when Brie reveals things to Sir I tell you my mouth drops open I'm speechless. I truly believe Sir and Brie can concur anything together if they want to.
I'm saddened that Tono still has not found his other half he truly needs a HEA. However, I'm supper excited for the next installment. Why you ask? Ok ok I'll tell you there will be Master Anderson, Lea, Baron, and even Ms. Clark. Epppp I cannot wait I tell you. Yeah more Brie and everyone else. Thank you so much Red for continuing the series and thank you to Brie and all the other characters for taking again.
Red has written another stellar addition to her Brie series. We delve deeper into Sir and Brie's relationship while experiencing a whole new side of Tono. Sir and Brie are put to the test emotionally, will they come out unscathed and stronger? you will have just have to read it ;) I loved this quote as it plays on what brie said when she was still in school. " 'He gave her a playful wink 'I googled it' "
We get to see Tono again and his amazing Kinbaku talent. We learn more about this gentle Dom, his father, and culture. I loved the other pasttime that Tono and his father got to share. Elvis would be proud.
The scenes Red writes get better and seeing Brie coming into her own is a beautiful sight. I can't wait to see where this series is going to take us and where Brie and Sir's love will grow. Great start to what is sure going to be an exciting addition to the Brie series! I mean all of our favorite characters will be featured. I can not get enough of Brie. This is sure to be a beautiful journey that we get to embark on with Brie!

Wow! What a great introduction to Red Phoenix's new Brie series, Submissive in Love. Brie has a disturbing dream about Tono and knows somethings really wrong. When she tries to make contact, she comes up empty. Sir decides a trip to Japan to support Tono is in order. What they find is a country steeped in family tradition and they see a new side to Tono they never knew existed.
This book was such a joy to read as I have loved Brie from the very first book. I was glad to be reading, once again, about old friends! I read it very quickly and I experienced all kinds of emotions-joy, sadness, grief, and love. Red does such a great job of writing that I felt like I was there. I could see the cherry blossoms! And her erotic scenes-red hot! Whew hold on as Brie takes off in what I expect to be another awesome series!
Rating: 5 stars Heat: 4 stars

OMG I love Sir and Brie! I could not put it down!!!!! I am so thankful to have more of them to read! I am so very impressed with them as a couple! What giving, wonderful and loving and caring people they are for each other but, also to those who matter to them too! Brie and Tono have always had a very strong connection and it is so great that Sir is able to accept that and embrace him as well! I found that the storyline was somehow deeper this time around! The relationships are really being built and there is a real, tender and loving side to all the characters.(except Tono's mom)-I'm glad Brie did not end up there having to deal with her!) I love that! We saw what they were made of in prior books but, now we are really seeing them as deep as it goes! The good stuff!!!! It was moving, sad, exciting and especially loving and I enjoyed it very very much! Sigh Swoon!!!! I look forward to more in this series and continue to be a huge fan of Red Phoenix' work! Thank You so much! This is a great start to this everyday side of the series! I cant wait for more!
Being a fan of Ms. Phoenix, I was really excited when I heard that she was once again starting with Brie’s newest series! I couldn’t wait for this release because I just wanted to find out what journey we were going to be taken on next.
I did love how we were able to spend more time with Tono, and even though everything was happening with him, he still had such a forceful presence that it was great to read. It was also really fun to learn more about the Japanese culture, and you could tell that Ms. Phoenix did some intense research for those parts of the book. So for that I give her mad props!
I thought that the story overall was really good, it just felt like *something* was missing. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is, but I just didn’t get the same feeling as I did with the other Brie books. Even with that, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story and I can’t wait to read more into this new series!

I'm so happy that Brie and Sir are back and what's even more special is that in this instalment they spend time with the lovable Tono.
In some respects as Brie's story continues it loses some of the essence from her first experiences at the training centre and the laughs and giggles she shared with Leah and Blonde Nemesis but at the same time Brie is now a more mature and experienced sub and this shows in the way she handles the challenging situations that she experiences.
I can't wait for more from this series and can only hope that the Brie magic continues for a long time.
As I wipe the tears from my face and try to catch my breath. I can't help but think that, once again, Red has taken it to the next level.
I can honestly say that I was happy with the way things had previously ended and then excited to hear the characters were still whispering in Red's ear to tell more of their stories. However, I don't think I expected my heart strings to be strung so tight then left frayed... Well done Red Phoenix.
Tono has always been a beautifully written character and to have the opportunity to understand him, his family and his culture better was magnificent. Tono and Brie have such a unique connection. Sometimes I feel like a mother watching her grow and begin to understand herself and those closest to her. I'm looking forward to what happens next but, I don't think the Asian Dom will leave my thoughts anytime soon. Thank you again Red for taking us on all their journeys.
I am a huge Red Phoenix fan, Brie has been my favorite character since her first day at the center. I have laughed and cried with her through out many novellas. Her story just gets better and better. Even though I adored the final installment in book 2, I felt the story was not finished, I am so glad Red felt the same way. I have longed for more about Tono, even though I understand Brie belongs with Sir. My heart breaks for Tono, I did not understand the appeal behind binding a sub. Now I see It as a beautiful, sensual art form. I long to find someone that could make me feel the way Brie feels when she is flying. Thank you Red for another brilliant installment. I cannot wait to see what Denver holds in store for Brie.
I was so looking forward to another Brie adventure, and to have it be with Tono, well it just was perfect! Just like the in other Brie books, Red Phoenix takes us into the world that Brie and Sir live in, and we have the privilege of experiencing it through all of Brie's senses. This story takes Brie and Sir into Tono's world, a world of beauty, duty and traditions, as well as the sensual art of Kinbaku.
I loved this book! Red's amazing descriptions create fabulous mental images of the beauty of Japan, and her knowledge of the ceremonies embraced by the Japanese people is extensive and fascinating! Once again Red has opened Brie's loving, compassionate heart to tell a beautiful story!! There can never be enough Brie stories!!
This was an ok Red phoenix story... not good enough to sweep me off my feet. I suppose it lacked the magic of Brie falling in love or learning to submit to her master...
I need to be true to myself... I do not like pure BDSM. I cannot connect to bdsm unless it is in the framework of a traditional love story or the writing is too superb to be denied (e.g. Tiffany Reisz). I have to use this self knowledge to choose my future reads with more care.
I do not wish to punish this author for my preference. I enjoyed the original books because they taught me so much about a lifestyle I knew nothing about, but having read writers like Tiffany Reisz and CDReiss I simply cannot give this simplistic writing the 5 stars I used to.
OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! When I saw this book I screamed. I LOVE the Brie series and when I saw there was going to be another series I was so excited and what's more the book was out and I brought it at once. I had to read it I had no choice. It's an emotional start to the series that I wasn't expecting. I'm glad Tono's father changed his opinion of Brie. I was scared it was going to be another Feline story, but I should have trusted Red, because Tono is not like that, and he respects Sir and Brie, and Sir knows this so all was forgiven. But I do really, really hope that this is not the end of Tono and he does get his HEA. I can't wait for the next book, as Brie is in Denver and that is where Master Anderson is, Lea, Baron and Clark. I can't wait.
This is a heart retching tale you will be sad and crying.
In this story Brie is debating about if she should do a follow up movie. She has a bad feeling something very wrong is going on with Tono and is proven correct when she gets his letter. What will Sir and Brie find when they get to Tokyo and will they be in time?
Tono has suffered a major loss and has to learn to deal with it. With the help of Brie and Sir he is able to get through the unbearable heartache.
Of all of Phoenix’s Brie series this is one of the hardest books I have read of hers. You can feel the pain and loss and are grateful with the way of was portrayed. Thank you so much for your great work Phoenix and I look forward to book 2.
This is the very first book I have read by Red Phoenix and I'm sure it won't be the last.
Brie had a dream that Tono needed her. She tried to get in touch with him but found he had cancelled all his commitments. When eventually Tono gets in touch he says his father is seriously ill . Brie's Sir said they could go and offer their support. Some really touching scenes in this story as well as erotic. There are all sorts of emotions running through this book so make sure you have tissues and clean undies at the ready! I think I need to read more of Brie's books! I was given this book by 1-click bitch in return for an honest review.
You know when there is a series of books that you just cant get enough of...well this is that series! I always buy it as soon as its live and then read it....then I feel bad because its done. This books felt different in this series, I dont know if its because we are witnessing the more emotional connection between the characters, but whatever it is I love it. There were times in this book when I cried, and thats a first for this series! The emotions that Sir shows in this part just make my heart melt even more, and I love him already! Amazingly written as always and a story that I want..no NEED more of!!
This is absolutely a wonderful start to a new Brie series. The story is a very emotional read about love, friendship and grief. Brie has a bad dream about Tono an she can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. Their connection is still there. Tono is going through emotional turmoil. Brie and Sir Davis travel to Tokyo to help Tono. While there secrets are revealed and some unresolved issue are addressed and cleared up. By the end of the story I had tears welling up in my eyes. It's a must read book but to understand the connection you must read the whole series from the beginning with the additional books. All I can say is WOW Red Phoenix!!!
