5* or 5000*?
This is MASTERPIECE! I have never read something like this before. I want to say so much, but don't want to spoil anything.
First of all, from what I understand I can't buy TRILOKA in physical form, which pains ME physically. If the author of this incredible piece of literature ever reads this, please I NEED it on paper! I don't care how expensive, I just need to have it. And also... to give you the money, you deserve!
Anyways... Back to the show...
English is not my first language, so I am biased, but I have never read something written this way. The writing style is immaculate. I love the way the language is used. It's polished and can convey so much with just a few words.
It's a shame not many know about Triloka (for now), but you all should know I will recommend it as my TOP3 series ever from now on (I am writing this review after reading the second book).
About the story and characters...
What makes this so good is actually simply It's unpredictability. The best books manage to surprise me at least a few times. Here? I wasn't prepare for what will happen in the next page. Hell! I wasn't sure what to expect in next paragraph. This didn't happenned to me in years. YEARS! And I loved every minute of it. For example: I was soooo not sure about the love interest... WHO is it? Because if it is THAT ONE, how can the story spin it for me to truly wish for them to be together...
Ezra is a mystery and at the same time not really. Such complex character shows us a lot, but still has his secrets. He's not exactly a hero and I love the way we can experience his mortality, his faults, his victories.
Then there is Josiah...He's hard to comprehend. We know only as much as he wants us to know. I found him intriguing from the beginning... And as the time went by, I was enamored.
I won't even start about THE TENSION... Because I could feel it. If this is not an evidence of how immerse the story is, I don't know what is.
Then we have Kai. I didn't feel like liking him that much. Because issues... I was wrong.
Keegan... Such a lovely young men. Exactly the friend Micah needs. I truly enjoyed his parts of the story.
I can't believe I will say this: I need more Sachiel. He's such a sly fox! And I didn't have enough of him. I am interested in his story, actually... He's cute and fun. (And in my mind he's totally georgeous... with bows in his hair and fashion sense nobody can touch.)
Other friends and characters in general are also really well written. I can distinguis between tons of different personalities. And that's not something simple to achieve.
Now I need time to process 2nd book and then I will write another review.
