To better serve the customers of her lingerie shop, Madison must explore the pleasures of giving up control...
.After inheriting her sister’s North Carolina lingerie shop, Naughty Bits, Madison jumps at the chance to dump her boring finance career and try her luck down South. But even before Madison can settle in, she catches the attention of the owner of the neighboring hardware store. Sexually dominant Logan Scott recognizes a submissive when he sees one. And what he sees, he wants.
He presents her with three very tempting gifts—handcuffs, erotic cards, and an open invitation to start her sexual training. She has to accept. After all, how can she hope to sell fantasies to lingerie customers without embracing her own? Now, she’s about to discover just how far her fantasies can take her—and how far Logan will go to make every one of them come true.
A submissive herself, Hill brings authenticity to her intensely emotional BDSM love stories. With over fifty titles and seven series, her contemporary and paranormal romances feature everything from billionaires, bikers, SEALs, firefighters, cops and housemaids, to vampires, mermaids, witches and angels.
"Joey translates the world of BDSM with such intense power and exquisite beauty. LOVE is the most powerful element entwined through the Dominance and submission.” –Goodreads, Pink Lady

The first thing I noted when starting this audiobook was that the narrator spoke WAAAY to fast; she didn’t allow the atmosphere to build or the story to breathe. It kind of just went downhill from there. I may be a minority in this, but I get exasperated with explicit fantasies or dreams; I feel like it takes precious time away from the true story development. The interaction never really happened, so it’s just a bullshit, cock-tease, waste of time and energy. And let me tell you, there was a LOT of that happening in this book. I feel like if she wasn’t perseverating and internalizing every single past and present emotion or thought she’s ever had, she was explaining to the readers these in-depth fantasies she’s having - WHEN SHE COULD JUST SHUT UP AND GO LIVE ONE. Also annoying, was the rather clinical and academic way that the H explained why subs do this, or what the underlying message is when a dom does that. The author assumed that the readers would be completely flabbergasted, gobsmacked, or confused by a healthy, loving, respectful D/s relationship. And add to that, he was having a lot of these explan-o-sations during socially inappropriate times. They were complete strangers, for God’s sake! The relationship, the atmosphere, and the story progression was forced and inorganic. ALSO annoying AF: all of the unnecessary sister flash-backs, or thoughts of her during awkward times; they usually seemed to happen just before or after an orgasm. And don’t get me started how creepy it was that she uses her dead sister’s name as her Safe Word. Blech! It took FOREVER for this story to move forward. I’ve never been so bored and aggrieved in a strait up BDSM erotica book in all my life. WTFuck, author. Less mental stewing, more moving forward with the story!
Full review at www.bookcrack.com. Naughty Bits was a wonderful surprise! A stand alone novel, this book is a perfect representation of how well Joey W Hill does SMEXY, smart D/s romance! To quote Romance Times, “BDSM can skate a fine line between sensuous and pornographic, but Hill is a master of this subgenre [of romance].” She's a 1-click erotic/BDSM author for me now! I have several from her Nature of Desire and Knights of the Boardroom in my TBR and can't wait to read them!
At its core, Naughty Bits is about letting go of fear (in the bedroom and in life), getting back up when life knocks you down, and most of all, being brave enough to dig deep and allow yourself to be who you are, so that you can find a partner who brings out the best in you, not just settling for being alone, or worse, loving the one you’re with… Really LOVED this book!
5 +++ STARS for Panty melting, mind-blowing Smexyness
4.5 STARS for Love it or Leave it?
I’d give Naughty Bits 5 STARS, but it took me a little while to enjoy Madison as a heroine, and to fall into the fantasy with her, but when she stopped getting stuck in her head and committed to Logan and his offer, this story really took off!
2.5-3 whip me stars!! I liked this book. I had a few problems, the first one was I wish that Madison would have acted upon her wants instead of having to read page after page of her fantasizing and her self love! Now Logan on paper should have been smoking hot, just burning the pages. He was'nt. I was bored with him and his attempts at flirting. Troy sounded awesome, but didn't really know why he was in the book-I mean I know why, but he wasn't needed in this installment so why even introduce him? I will read the next one and maybe I will get the romance and not all the comedy!!!
Well, it was certainly very steamy but for a book that tried to be all about sex and kink positivity, there were some instances were it felt like there was some slut shaming which I didn’t love. Secondly, there also felt like some gendered essentialism in the language that felt not great. This author is highly recommended for and by fans of erotic romance and I guess I just wasn’t as blown away as I thought I would be.

Naughty Bits - The Complete Series by Joey W Hill 4.5 Stars
Part 1: The Lingerie Shop This is a Novella series by the wonderfully talented Joey W Hill being released monthly. I have to be honest, if I see her name, then it is an automatic purchase. I was not disappointed. After her sister Alice passes away, leaving Madison her Lingerie shop Naughty Bits, Madison's life changes. Madison has shown submissive interests and has visited clubs in the past with her sister but since she has had many failed relationships she has refused to take her interest's further. Not only has she been left Naughty Bits, but when Madison finds a letter from her sister Alice, she is told to trust Logan as much as she trusted her and that she is leaving Madison to Logan who is the owner of the hardware shop next door. Logan is a Master who trains submissive's and he is currently training Troy for his Domme. Madison does not understand what that means. As with all Joey W Hill books, I loved this first part of the series. I adore Logan and Madison, not to mention Troy and cannot wait for the next instalment which covers BDSM training. Logan has requested Madison help him train Troy, partly to help Madison come to terms with her own submissive feelings. You can see and feel how badly Madison needs to submit and how much Logan wants to be the one to train her. Will she have the courage to take what could most be the most important leap of her life? I hope so and cannot wait to find out.
Part II: The Training Session This is a part 2 of a new Novella series by the wonderfully talented Joey W Hill being released monthly. I have to be honest, if I see her name, then it is an automatic purchase. I was not disappointed. After her sister Alice passes away, leaving Madison her Lingerie shop Naughty Bits, Madison's life changes. In book 1 we found out that not only has she been left Naughty Bits, but Madison found a letter from her sister Alice, telling her that she is leaving Madison to Logan who is the owner of the hardware shop next door. Logan is a Master who trains submissives' and he is currently training Troy for his Domme. In this book, Logan invites Madison to assist in his training of Troy. Whilst attending the training session, it becomes obvious to all, just how badly Madison wants to submit too. In fact Logan uses Madison's body to train Troy and in turn train Madison. Madison is slowly learning to trust her feelings where Logan is concerned and his support has encouraged her to take Naughty Bits and make it her own, helping others to full fill their fantasies. Whilst Logan is fulfilling some of Madison's. I adore Logan and Madison, not to mention Troy and thoroughly enjoyed the BDSM sessions. I am honestly on the edge of my seat, waiting to see where Ms. Hill takes us next and I cannot wait to see how this story progresses.
Part III: Bound to Please This is a part 3 of the new novella series by the wonderfully talented Joey W Hill being released monthly. I have to be honest, if I see her name, then it is an automatic purchase. I am never disappointed. After her sister Alice passes away, leaving Madison her Lingerie shop Naughty Bits, Madison's life changes in so many ways. In this book, Logan encourages Madison to open not only her mind but her heart to him and the BDSM lifestyle she so obviously craves. Their journey is spine tingling. Madison is so scared to open herself to the possibility of a relationship and Logan, in true Alpha form demands she do no less. What transpires is an exciting and sexy path to fulfillment both emotionally and sexually for both Madison and Logan. The sex is scorchingly hot in this book, as one expects from Joey W HIll. Logan even encourages Madison to experiment by dominationg Troy under his supervision along with Troy's Mistress. What transpires becomes a life altering moment in Madisons mind and heart. She truly realises the depths of her need to submit to her Master, Logan. Whilst Logan, in turn realises just how important Madison is to his life. I can hardly wait until July to read the conclusion to this wonderful adventure, waiting to see where Ms.Hill takes us as the story builds to it's conclusion.
Part IV: The Highest Bid This is part 4 and the conclusion to the new novella series by the wonderfully talented Joey W Hill. After her sister Alice passes away, leaving Madison her Lingerie shop Naughty Bits, Madison's life changes in so many ways. In this book, Logan brings Madison’s deepest fantasy to life in a way that is life altering for both of them. Throughout the series he has continued to encourage Madison to open not only her mind but her heart to him and the BDSM lifestyle she so obviously craves. Their journey has been life altering, for both of them. As the series continued we saw just how much Madison was scared to let Logan into her heart. She was so terrified to believe in herself and her feelings for Logan that she withdrew into herself. What Madison didn’t count on was Logan and his determination to make her accountable for her decisions and to bring her back to life. Logan ensured that she faced her fears and in the end she opened herself to what I am sure will be a lifetime of happiness. Logan and Madison were meant to be together and as expected Ms.Hill delivered. Well done Joey W Hill another excellent series......
Joey W. Hill is a master author! I love her work, how she is able to interweave emotions with her striking dialogue, bringing her characters to life. But more so pulling those emotions from her readers. Each time I read a JWH book she leaves me raw and open. Naughty Bits is the full novel, and combines the previously issued novellas of Madison and Logan's story, the story of Madison accepting her submissiveness and Logan becoming her Master. It is humorous, it is real and it is wonderful. I love Troy in this book, and how Hill is able to so freshly show a male submissive and how complex he is. This story contains some heavy BDSM scenes, but nothing scary. It is much more an emotional journey, for both Madison and Logan, but also the reader. How Hill is able to draw parallels between the Lingerie Shop Madison now maintains, and her discovery of her submission, her desires and needs is uncanny and a wondrous evolution. If you haven't read Hill before, this is a good start, but I would highly recommend also reading her series. If you have read Hill before, this is a good shift. In hopes for the next Joey W. Hill book, I thank you Ms. Hill.
If you love smart, erotic romance, then you should definitely read this. So glad I got it in one complete novel, because it was written as a serial.
This book was sweltering, but it was done with so much class and taste that it sneaks up on. From the very first I was intrigued, but once it go to that first session (this book is bdsm themed) I was completely floored, squirming in my seat and wishing that I could have been Logan's assistant for the night.
All of that and we also get to see a woman growing and coming into her own, and an understanding Dom who helps lead her there.
This is too freaking heavy. I was hoping for a sexy read but this is a woman who's a submissive (and knows it) but she's dated men who aren't into it so she decides that the whole relationship thing is not worth it? I mean WTH? That doesn't even make any sense.
Add on top of that, dealing with a guilt about her dead sister and this is not sexy at all.
Review written: January 7, 2019 Star Rating: ★★★☆☆ Heat Rating: ☀☀☀☀☀
This is a book I had been dying to read for ages, as in years. I found Hill by accident in an anthology and I loved the novella. After a bit of research it became clear that she is one of the best BDSM erotic authors out there. Happy, happy, joy, joy!
For reasons that don't matter, it took me along time to buy this book. But when I did, I sat down and devoured it in one sitting. So why not a 5 star rating then? For a few reasons, really:
1. Logan: He's a Master, apparently does demos at the Club, makes custom furniture, and is training a sub for a Mistress and yet I never feel him in the lifestyle at all. We never see him at a Club and while we see 2 scenes with the trainee, he is only in control of one of them. Where are the other people in his life, especially his BDSM community?
He's a freaking steamroller. Hey, I get that half Madison's problem is that she overthinks and gets lost in her head and he wants to prevent that, but he waaaaaay oversteps in some cases, forcing from her things he has no right to except that in his mind she is already his. There's a scene in a hallway, a scene in a restaurant, and the scene where she tells him her fantasy. None of this endears me to him as a Master. This is especially true in the case of the restaurant where he effectively blackmails her into agreeing to have a relationship with him.
2. Madison: Holy hell. She is actually worse than me in her head. It's a toxic stew up there and it is a serious problem. I easily understood her fears, guilt, grief, and inability to trust. I got her in a good way but she still drove me nuts because she was so resistant in some ways and such a pushover in others.
3. Telling not showing: Way too much telling instead of showing in this book. By the end, it should feel organic and yet still, the endless explanations about everything. I liked some of the explanation but I could have done without at least half of it. Please show me what's going on instead of trying to teach me so much in exposition.
4. Lack of story and lack of character development: It felt like the story was really just a thinly veiled wrapper for a series of scenes that really didn't connect well. I like my sex scenes and I enjoy BDSM scenes but in a large way, that's really what this was, a small set up and then scenes. Wish fulfillment, fantasy, teaching, and to some degree forcing but always scenes. I would have appreciated a little less in the scenes - which individually were awesome and pretty much novella length - and a little more emotional depth. While I did enjoy how the scenes helped Madison understand some things, it wasn't enough to create that emotional depth I wanted to see.
Additionally, while Madison went from effectively hating her sexuality to fully embracing it, Logan had a journey too, which was never explored. His "I can't seem to have a relationship outside the club" to demanding on pain of torture that Madison give their relationship a chance was tough to swallow.
What saved it? Actually Troy and Shale who made me think of some other Joey W. Hill characters. I found myself deeply curious about them and how they met and fell in love.
I'm deeply disappointed that I didn't enjoy this book more especially since I had waited so long to finally read it. I think I'll give her contemps one more go and if I'm still not feeling it, then I'll go back to her Vampire books since I love those.
I was a little unsure of Madison in the beginning of this book. She is so undecided about what she wants or needs. I guess we all have that problem. We are raised being told that wanting something that is not consider normal is a bad thing. I have thought for a long time that normal is very over rated. None of us is normal. We all have fantasies and desires and we are often told that those fantasies are bad or wrong. But are they. I can sympathize with Madison in many ways. I love the whole idea of Doms and subs and the fantasies that they explore. These stories absorb my imagination and cravings for things that I will never have because I have always been too scared to pursue.
I love that Logan is patient and caring of Madison especially in the beginning. The lost of a sister is a terrible thing especially if there was some tension between to two. I think that Alice knew Madison better that Madison knows herself. I love Alice even though there are only Madison's memories to provide her background. She seemed one of those gifted people that could read others and see what they needed to get past whatever was causing problems with themselves or their love life. She is one of those rare individuals that read the people that she served in her store. Alice also knew her sister very well. I think that is what kept Madison from staying too close to Alice.
I love reading each step in Madison's journey of discovery. Her finding her wings and becoming the caring and insightful person that makes a success of the store The Naughty Bits. She also discovers she is a submissive and she only wants one person to show her how to explore and embrace BDSM.
Ms. Hill excels in these stories. Her imagination is amazing. She never fails to find new and different ways to explain the BDSM world. She does so with love and sincerity. She never makes the stories cheap or uncomfortable. I have read almost all of her books at this point and they never bore me. They draw me in and keep me coming back for more. I have my favorite characters in each series. I also love that she brings in characters from other stories or series so the whole of her work is one big adventure. This story is no different. Madison and Justin show up in Worth the Wait.
The final scene in this story is HOT! HOT! HOT! No one can make a story like this is thrilling and emotional. Logan is what I would want as a master if that was my true desire. If you love this type of story than definitely pcik this book up and read it or any of Joey's books.
I'd give this 2.5 stars if I could. There were parts of it that were great, but parts I had MAJOR issues with - pretty much all of which are related to the lack of BDSM etiquette and negotiation. It's especially irksome to me because Logan claims to be such a great Dom, but there's absolutely no negotiation of limits. The first two times they play Madison has no ability to safe out. WTF. Then Logan claims to be upset at the bad Dom abusing someone... I have a problem with where he's drawing the line of abuse. While I am in no way saying Logan is abusive towards Madison, and perhaps they even negotiated limits and safewords "outside" the novellas, if that's the case then Ms. Hill needed to throw in something in which Madison remembers that negotiation, for example, when they were helping the abused woman.
How does he know that’s not a hard limit for Madison? He cares so little he’s willing to try it and see if she goes along or safes out or even worse, completely freaks and walks away. And... is he unfamiliar with coerced consent? Because it's not consent. Consent not freely given is not consent at all and he's essentially blackmailing her.
I honestly stopped reading it for a while after and only picked it back up because I’m stuck in coronavirus shelter in place isolation and the rest of the books I want to read are on the library waitlist. If I wasn't trapped in isolation I wouldn't have been able to finish it.
I listened to the audiobook. I did not like the narrator's voice at all.
FMC inherits her deceased sister's sex shop. Will states she has to operate it x 1 year. Next door is a hardware shop owned by MMC. He's a Dom, and Alice (the dead sister) knew her sister had submissive tendencies that she would not allow herself to express.
He invites her to a session (in his back room) of him training a submissive for another Dom. She ends up participating a bit.
Lots of flashbacks to scenes with her sister. Super annoying that sister's illness and eventual death is discussed, but never explained. Lots of scenes as he trains her. Final scene is him giving her the "dream" scene she'd told him about, where she is trained as a slave and sold to a soldier, who then lets his friends use her too.
Overall, meh, but lots of that could be the narrator's voice.

One of the best books in this genre that I've read in a very long time.
The sex scenes were so very hot, the characters felt real and the thing I was probably happiest about- the BDSM was like it should be. The mindsets and feelings were pretty spot on and Logans instructional discussions of the aspects of BDSM didn't feel forced or too dry to keep the readers interest.
I really liked all four parts and would recommend them, especially to anyone interested in BDSM but has had a bad taste in their mouth after reading some of the utter crap out there about it (side-eye 😒😒😒 to the 50 Shades series).
Logan is, with Dale (from Unrestrained), my favorite male character in all Joey's books. I reread this story (its very rare I do this).
What I like the most about joey's character, is they are real. And even the doms sometimes makes mistakes. I remember, in this story, Logan and Madison are in the back alley, and Logan say something that upset Madison, and he apologize. I remember that I thought : Wow, I want a man like that in my life! Dominant, yet able to admit he's wrong without becoming a carpet.
I saw myself sometimes in Madison, and I suppose it's one of the reasons I liked this story so much.
Naughty, but nice: I did like Logan (whoa--probably why I gave the book 3 stars), Troy & Shale, the adjoining shops and their customers, and the depth and complexity of Madison's fantasies.
Naughty, but not in a good way: I could have done without the repetition that results from it originally being released as serial novellas. When she wasn't fantasizing, Madison was boring and two dimensional. Finally, the constant references to Madison's late sister Alice--apparently some sort of clairvoyant semi-saint who "gave" Madison to Logan before they even met--almost put me off the book entirely. Yuck.
3 stars, but I wanted to like the book more than I actually did.
For Madison seven failed relationships keeps her from believing there could be a number 8, the real thing. Logan is a fantastic Dom, but just as failed as Madison in a real world relationship. Being willing to actually connect is more difficult for Madison than it is for Logan. Sparks fly, smolder and burn when Logan’s sexy world envelopes Madison in a push to release her true self, that submissive side, the side that can truly embrace trust and a lasting, real relationship. Naughty Bits keeps the reader on the sensual edge from the very beginning to the very end. Erotica at it’s best. Definitely recommend.
I'm sonewhere between a 3.5 and a 4 on this one. I liked alot but, partially i think as a result of this being a series of shorter things that got compiled vs a novel originally meant ot be one thing, there was some repititon/ reminding of things that had me like.... um i know, i was there, it was like 20 pages ago.... some parts dragged a little for me but overall it was fun, interesting and the characters were good to spend time with.
I am a perennial fan of Joey Hill's modern books and this story is no exception. If the only erotica you've read is EL James or Sylvia Day, I highly recommend Joey Hill as the gateway author to a much broader world of erotica. Joey does BDSM in fantastic, delectable ways.
I read ALOT of erotic romance novels, Joey Hill & “Naughty Bits” is probably the single best written I’ve ever read. From plot, character development and the way it pulls you in emotionally is amazing. I now have a #1 favorite author.
I enjoyed so much of this I wanted to give it 5 stars, but 2/3 of the way in it became very repetitive. I suspect it has to do with the fact that it started as a serial and things needed to be repeated.
I loved it. Once again, Joey weaves a beautiful love story showing the awesome power and fun of bd$m. I was hooked right from the beginning and binged it! I was sad when it was done because I didn’t have more to read!! So so good!
Glad I as able to read it as a complete book and not as Novellas as it was originally written. I love how Joey W. Hill gets into the heads of the characters.
