So much happens in book 2 and I was constantly in awe at how creative and masterful the story is. The inspiration taken from Hindi mythology was so enjoyable to read and it was perfect timing because I'd finished this book when I was on holiday in Cambodia. During that time, I had been on a tour to all the beautiful Hindi-Buddhist temples and listening to stories about Brahma, Vishnu, Indra etc. I was almost waiting to hear about Agni and Varuna and I was really vibing with how Ezra must have felt when he went on his political tour/travel.
I really love Ezra as a character, he is growing into his role as the Prince and needs to make all the hard choices that comes with that position. I loved his abilities and the incredible display of his powers in this book really fed my need for (violent) action. It's just so fun to read.
Another thing I wanted to add was that I've read books where the flashbacks are not necessary to the story, but in this story, it really offered clues and understanding of how a character has been developed. It really felt necessary to the story. The editing since from the first version has been amazing.
I'm super excited for Book 3, seriously can't wait to see what happens next!
