I started and finished reading this book on 4/20, how appropriate!
This was such a fun read! Dark, taboo romance with horror elements, erotic horror..if you will.
The twins in this book have a very special twin bond, one of them gets a little too obsessed and well... I wouldn't want to spoil the story, but it's wild and I enjoyed it. All the character names made me giggle and Kush is a cutie.

Holy f*ck, this was so good! The romance, the horror, and the VERY forbidden love was so so good. Haze is a man OBSESSED, and I’m here for it. And the spice was oh so spicy, I was sweating like the whole book 🥵😮💨 The ending was unexpected and had me wanting more of these twins. And please CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS.

As the title suggests there is a lot of substance abuse. We follow the relationship between twins Haze and Indigo, they have always been close and as they got older this did not change until there was more chemistry between the two. Until their attraction becomes too much for them to hold back, does it turn toxic? Will one of them break?
All in all it was a taboo read, involving spicy times, baked items, stalking, jealous rage, revenge and a deletion.

This is probably the second book I’ve read where I’ve actually gagged. He collected a jar of his semen, used it to make brownies and whipped cream, and fed it to his twin sister. I gagged and laughed so hard bc she loved it and ate it like it was her last meal on earth. No words 🤣

I am so sorry but Idk HOW THIS HAS ANY 5 STARS, y'all must be throwing out 5 stars like they don't mean anything because Mary... this was not the serve I thought it was going to be. Here's the thing, I do not care about taboo in the slightest IF it is done well and this was not done well by any means. ALL of the characters were annoying as FUCK... PLUS THE NAMES WERRE STUPID AS SHIT.
MARY JANE? CHECK.
HAZE? CHECK.
INDI? CHECK.
FAT ASS CAT NAMED KUSH? CHECK.
Aside from the silly names, their personalities were horrible. Mary jane was desperate for love so popped her pum pum for Haze anytime he wanted even though he quite literally made it clear he just wanted sex. Indi had zero self-respect and was dumb and dear god, Haze...
Haze was SUPPOSED to come off as hot and protective but instead he was annoying as shit and was willingly about to SA another man??? just for cheating?? Like I hate cheating as much as the next betrayed but yeah, that was too much. I enjoyed his little punk ass crying after being betrayed. Haze is what a 14 year old on Wattpad would write thinking that it's SO hot and edgy. Hell, by the end of the book I was PRAYING that Indi left his ass alone.
Which brings me to my next point, this is supposed to a mutual obsession, two people who love each other so much but it's not LOL. Indi doesn't even seem THAT interested in Haze at all. I mean girlie literally had a long term man she was obsessed with meanwhile Haze fucked another girl as well so I'm like for people who are apparently obsessed with each other, they damn sure don't act like it at all. The romance fell flat.
This was just a man weirdly obsessed with the woman who sometimes bends over for him but she's good either way. I mean she dead ass betrays him in the end.
The ending was STUPID. IM SAYING STUPID A LOT BUT THIS WAS STUPID.
It is ONLY getting 3 stars because of the pretty cover.

This book is dark, twisted, and deliciously taboo. Check those trigger warnings because it does not hold back. I was hooked from page one and could not put it down. Haze was obsessed, possessive, and completely unhinged in the best way. I loved him! The things he did to Indi and for her had me gasping, blushing, and screaming. That ending was wild and perfect. This was fantastic, intense, and insanely addictive!

If I could give this book negative stars, I would. Let me explain why this was one of the most revolting, chaotic, and emotionally infuriating reads I’ve ever had the misfortune of finishing. I wish I could dnf.
Where do I even begin? This book promised a dark romance. What I got was a tangled mess of incest, drugged-out nonsense, and more cheating than a high school locker room on a Friday night.
🧠 Indi? More like IDIOT.
Indigo, our “heroine,” is one of the most frustrating female characters I’ve read in a long time. She opens the book already involved in a taboo situationship with her twin brother—yes, twin. If that’s not enough to make your stomach turn, buckle up.
Despite their twisted connection, Indi spends the first half of the book hopping from hookup to hookup like a clearance bin sex doll. She’s got a boyfriend, she’s flashing her goods on OnlyFans, and through it all, she's still emotionally tangled with Haze. The internal monologue? Hollow. Her decisions? Brain-dead. Her loyalty? Non-existent.

Now let’s talk about the brother. Haze is obsessed, manipulative, and downright unhinged—but not in a hot, possessive book-boyfriend way. In a “lock him up and throw away the key” way. Sure, he kills Indi’s abusive boyfriend, but don’t go getting soft. He continues sleeping with her “best friend” Mary-Jane even after pledging himself to Indi.
And that brings me to…

The most irritating, unnecessary character I’ve read in months. She slinks into every chapter like a bad smell, always there to cause problems, get railed, and stir drama. The fact that Haze keeps entertaining her while declaring eternal love for Indi? Disgusting. 🤢 It’s not even messy in a fun way—it’s just degrading to everyone involved, especially the reader.
😩 The Cheating? Absolutely repulsive.
I hate cheating tropes. And this book swims in it like it’s a hot tub. Emotional cheating, physical cheating, betrayal left and right. There’s no catharsis, no healing, no earned redemption. Just filth layered on top of filth.
💀 The Ending? A punch in the face.
By the time I reached the end, I was hollowed out. Exhausted. Angry. There’s no satisfying resolution, no growth, just a spiraling descent into chaos that left me wondering why I didn’t DNF earlier. But no—I stayed. I hoped. I prayed. And for what?
Final Verdict:
This book isn't dark romance—it’s emotional waterboarding in weed-scented packaging. A zero-star disasterpiece that confused shock value for substance. I regret every page.

Baked is the most delectable taboo romance I’ve had the pleasure of devouring. This story follows Haze and Indigo, the Osvaldo twins…. Yes twins that shmoke a lot of weed, bake and get baked with brownies and occasionally fuck.

It was so damn wrong but if you’re a depraved little thing like me and can get past the tabooness of this romance it’s fucking incredible. Haze is OBSESSED with Indi and does everything he can to keep her safe and happy including baking her the best damn brownies she’s ever had made with a little extra loving in the frosting and unaliving people who stand in his way. 10/10 morally fucked book boyfriend.

This was a super fun read! I had to get baked while reading Baked! So here’s what I remember..just kidding! Hahaha
First let me say I loved the names of the characters!!
Indigo, Haze, Ginger, Ash, and Mary-Jane! Of course, we can’t forget about Kush-Kush! 😻💨
I loved this book. The intense push and pull between Indi and Haze plus their chemistry was delicious! The way this story took a turn with a deadly plot twist made me love this even harder! The ending was unpredictable and not at all what I expected! I love the unexpected!
Can I just say I have waited on a book to include us lovers of all things 420! Thank you AB. Cynthe!! 👏This was a top read for the year hands down. I can’t wait to display this in my shelf!!

Baked was such a satisfying quick read. I was really impressed with how well the characters, Haze and Indi, were developed despite the faster pace. I genuinely liked them both, especially even with their darker sides. This is definitely a dark romance, and they both get up to some morally questionable things, one much more than the other. True to form for Ab Cynthe, Baked absolutely did not disappoint! I'm already crossing my fingers for a sequel because I'd love to see more of Haze and Indi's twisted story.

This book is dark provocative and completely unapologetic!!!!! It covers very taboo themes and absolutely pushes boundaries in a way that kept me glued to the pages. The chemistry is intense the tone is very unsettling and the story leans fully into its shock factor while still being addictive af! Definitely not for everyone but if you like your dark romance bold twisted and unfiltered this one definitely delivers!!

This is tough to review! I will be completely honest by saying the book was great! Very well written and all together I enjoyed it. But with that being said inc*st is definitely not my thing (i changed them to adoptive siblings in my head while reading) once I kept that mindset the book was honestly a 5 star read for me.
The smut was smutty in the best way (twins aside)
The dark aspect was dark and beautifully written.
The storyline flowed smoothly and made sense.
