Both Feet In: Wildflower Valley Book Two

Rate this book
The Bryant family have taken the plunge and moved to Wildflower Valley, West Virginia! Tackling house renovations, barnyard disasters, homeschool high jinks and a garden that doesn't always want to seem to grow, Abby and Josh and their four children must face every setback together, along with their motley crew of neighbors--Hooch, the self-proclaimed redneck with a heart of gold, Allie and Bill Hoffenberger, a retired couple who seem to know everything about homesteading and let Abby and Josh know it, Lily and Robbie, the newlyweds with a dream of off-grid living who just might be in over their heads, and Miss Barbara, a former flower child who takes Bethany under her wing.

As they take on troubles together, Abby and Josh's faith in their homesteading future is sorely tested--but when you're both feet in, maybe you just need to keep going... no matter what gets thrown your way. The second book in the heartwarming Wildflower Valley series, following the Bryant family on their homesteading adventures!

Loving Kate Hewitt & Her Stories

I’ve now read 5 of her books - the first 3 about surviving a post-apocalyptic world and now not just surviving but embracing a new way of living off the land and with nature.

All of her characters are so wonderfully and truthfully developed. You are cheering for them and crying with them.

At the end of the book you can’t wait to start the next.

I have learned so many things about nature and survival and hope and loss and love from these books.

She’s a writer worth following & im ordering my next in this series!!

I liked this better than the first book. The Characters are growing and developing so much better than the first book. I honestly didn’t like Abby all that much in the first book. She’s growing on me now and I’m enjoying reading this family grow into their new lifestyle. The neighbors are so interesting I can’t wait to learn more about them.

The challenges of the weather

Book 2 in the Wildflower Valley series includes the families arrival at their new home along with challenges that happen pretty much right away. I can imagine how tough it would have been and yet, neighbours are there for them and they are slowly adapting. Then falls the rain, and falls and falls!

Stay tuned for book 3!

Both Feet In

This is a remarkable story. This is a gripping, life altering adjustment and deeply moving from the beginning to end. The characters are optimistic, naive, and determined. An uplifting story that you can't put down. Enjoy

decent story, not a lot of movement until the end.
A huge pet peeve of mine - grammatical and spelling errors. This book said splashbacks, gu, mebbe.

The story line moves very slowly, but the character development is good.
Homesteading is something I never intend to do, but enjoy doing it vicariously through this series.

Why am I reading these? Abby's voice is appealing if repetitive, the family is well drawn, and I guess I've been sucked in. It's a quick read.
