Chase Chandler has everything - wealth, power and control. But none of this matters when he is haunted by a yearning that he cannot quieten. A chance meeting one rainy night sets a dark dangerous plan in motion. Driven by obsession, Chase kidnaps Peyton and he takes her to a world where fear and desire blur the lines. But what begins as captivity soon evolves into love.
Had to stop reading at 34%. She gets kidnapped by her ex, and he’s extremely rich. He puts her in his basement that he’s made to look like a hospital room; the only person she interacts with for CHAPTERS is Helen the woman hired to care for her. The main female character is left in the dark about who kidnapped her and why for about 30% of the book; not to mention through that 30% she is constantly being drugged and put to sleep.
