I skimmed this in about 10 minutes and realized it was repetitive and offered no real solutions to burnout. Eat well, get some movement in, rest and sleep well, find meaning in your life, and stop overthinking. Wow. If I could actually do all those things maybe I wouldn’t feel burned out…

A Realistic Reset

This was one of the more practical burnout books I’ve read—it didn’t tell me to quit my job or meditate for an hour a day. The tone was encouraging without being preachy, and I liked that it offered small, realistic steps rather than an overhaul. The author’s personal experience gave it credibility, but the science-backed structure is what made it feel actionable. I didn’t feel pressured to be perfect; I just felt like I had a plan. If burnout has been simmering in the background, this is a solid place to start making things feel more manageable.

Fundamentals of Burnout and Restoring Balance

This is an easy read with many lessons we need to constantly be reminded of. My personal favourites were the sections on sleep and breathing. These two basics techniques can take you from being stressed out all the time to being in control of your own anxiety. It is quick read we all need to do every year.
