There's also chaos on Earth as the 3rd planet's aliens are planning a takeover of our planet and some of those who have already gone through the Shift are trying to stop that from happening.
Love prevails. Chaos reigns. More death. And just when you think everyone is where they belong ... Earth or Arcadia ... and all the loose ends are tied and everyone is planning their future ... there's a blurb for the NEXT BOOK!
Nathan Hystad can't write a bad book. I've probably read most, if not all of them. The characters become your friends ... or enemies.... but you are definitely invested. Always a thrill-ride you won't be able to put down.
What a great book. This continuation of what could happen when a town is sent through to another planet. Locals call it the Shift. While trying to survive on just what they have there and hoping for one final resupply before the Shift tower is closed permanently. People on Earth and on Arcadia are rushing to ensure everything is I order and the people are on the right side of the Shift. And, of course, there are the aliens that want to use the Shift to send troops to Earth and Arcadia and they are not friendly visitors. Plus, on Arcadia they are still finding new settlements. What a great book this was to read. Nathan Hystad, you've done it again. Thank you.
Exceptional creativity and writing that keeps the reader glued and turning the pages. Sometimes you don't need starships to get to another planet. Sometimes you don't need to combat the enemy directly. Wonderful palpable descriptions, dialogue, characters and their relationships. It is highly advisable to start with the first book "Taken." It absorbs the reader from the very start. Note: I was very surprised to finish the book and found that there will be another, i.e. not a cliff-hanger.
A connection from Earth to Arcadia has been established. It’s looking like Arcadia could be another option for humanity if the need ever rises. Lost Town is really establishing itself with the help of Logan and his technology. The mystery of his mom and dad still looms over not to mention the continued rise of the alien silos from Lithos.
Not sure how Nathan does it but each book in this series builds off the other while maintaining enough suspense to keep the pages turning. Each book is better than the last.
So much drama and intrigue happens as everyone deals with the last book's drama. Highs and lows and twists and surprises kept me reading and entertained the whole time. Lots of things happen both on Earth and on Arcadia that keep the story interesting and hopping. Loved it and the story and characters were good as usual.
The Mystery continues and now we have aliens attempting to transit to Earth in an invasion force. Can the folks in lost town stop them. Have to read and see! I like the characters and how they have changed as events transpire. One more book to go, can’t wait to see how this ends.
Sometimes an author needs to know when to end a series. This is that series. Book Five is the book that should not have been written. It's like that coworker/friend/relative/toddler who tells you a story that just doesn't end. It goes on and on down all these different paths. Wrap it up already!
