The Last Chapter: Where stories come alive

Rate this book
When Evelyn Thorne inherits The Last Chapter bookstore from her estranged aunt, she plans to sell the dusty Victorian building and move on with her struggling writing career. But the store has other ideas. Books rearrange themselves when no one is looking. Pages turn on their own. And in the rare books room, manuscripts whisper stories that were never written.

Her estranged brother Jasper returns to help unravel the mystery, bringing with him unresolved family tensions and his own connection to the store's secrets. Together they discover their aunt's legacy is far stranger than they imagined—The Last Chapter is a place where stories come alive, where tales refuse to end, and where the line between fiction and reality grows dangerously thin.

Now Evelyn must decide what matters the life she planned, or the legacy written in her blood. For in The Last Chapter, every story seeks its ending—including hers.

the book repeated itself so often that it became tedious and dull. the scientific explanations were confusing. I finished the book with my head pounding from a headache. I did like the whole idea of books being alive, but I felt that the story needed more substance. another simple observation was the lack of page numbers, and this little omission just made me want to know why?
