This one was pretty short and some steamy moments.
All Serenity wanted was a girl's weekend away from her over protective father and living in a ivory tower locked away and she got it. What she didn't know that the man who owns the Yacht she's on has his own plans for revenge against her father... that one night stand turned into a kidnapping..
Lucas and Serenity have tension between them since he dropped a bomb on her and using her (for the moment) to bait her father... why not a huge rating.. idk I fully didn't believe he truly loved/liked her.. it still felt like she was a pawn..
No ow/om drama, No cheating, drama, slight secondary character, sexy times, no virgins

Serenity - She is a Mafia princess who wants to just hang out with her best friend and not be anywhere near her dads business, She loves her dad a lot but does not like his work, She has a best friend called Vannah, She does not like people trying to control her, it's sad that she gets kidnapped and then she see who the person is and knows its one of her dads enemies but near the end she starts getting feeling for Lucas
Lucas - He is a Mafia boss and runs the family business, He and his family lost his father and now he is after the person that hurt his father, He is a billionaire and owns different islands and sees Serenity so he plans to take her and then make her father come for her, He does not tell her who he is even after the kiss and then the next morning she finds out who he is and that he has kidnapped her, The more he spends with her the more he starts to fall for her even with how much she hates him at the min
I really liked the strong friendship between Serenity and her best friend Vannah because you can see how much they care fore each other and will always look out for each other,, Once serenity sees her father when he came for her you could see how much they care for each other and that she would do anything to keep him safe

The book was ok but not my favorite.. I felt sorry for serenity and i am glad that she has a best friend like Vannah to talk and hang out with.. I did not like the way serenity was treated at the start but near the end you can see how much Lucas loves serenity and would not let anyone hurt her.. So i did like the strong friendship between serenity and Vannah and also i did like seeing the strong relationship with her dad in this book.. I also liked seeing when Lucas fell for Serenity long before she fell for him.. I did enjoy the authors writing so i might try one of her other books and see what i think

What a sensual short story! These two have chemistry! Serenity Kingston is the very protected daughter of a Chicago mafia kingpin. She's managed to get away from her bodyguards with her best friend Vannah, the daughter of her father's attorney. They are on an island in the Keys sipping pina coladas and relaxing, trying to find some action for the night. When their really hot and apparently gay waiter suggests a party on a friend's yacht they decide to go with him. Vannah finds out their gay waiter and his partner share so she's off with them. That's when Serenity bumps into Lucas Bellamy, whom she doesn't recognize as it's a masquerade party. After a very hot and satisfying night he reveal's his kidnapping plot to her. It seems her father had his father killed in a mafia turf battle. He's after revenge and she's the bate. Unfortunately for him, they find they have a connection that complicates things.
It's an interesting plot with lots of hot times and a quick read. I purchased and won a copy of this book. This is a voluntary review and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I don't want to read about his "milk". Her "girl-cum" either.
Why did he hang up the phone with Simon when they were on the boat talking?
How is she most certainly pregnant after one night, when she just told you she was on the pill?
Using 'such" twice is a row was very distracting.
Grammar and punctuation were not good. Sentences ended prematurely, commas were not right, it was not edited well at all. Typos like off/of were present.
This book felt like a rush job. The story had potential, but the execution was lacking.
I never leave reviews, but I was actively praying this (quite short already) book was going to be shorter. Luckily, there was a preview and other stuff at the end, so I was pleasantly surprised that the book ended when it did.
I read the KU version, if that makes a difference.

This is my second book by Penelope Wylde in as much as two days. I loved this book because I love mafia romances and I like a light mafia romantic story. This is the story of Serenity Kingston daughter of Mafia leader Kingston and Lucas Bellamy whom Serenity's father killed or had something to do with his death. He has lured Serenity to this place in Miami. She thinks that she is having a girl's night out or ladies time out, but Lucas has other ideas. Their chemistry and both their need for each other help to develop this mafia romantic story. Good read.

Enjoyed This Storyline.
The author brought two warring Mafia families to a head by having the siblings, Lucas and Serenity come together. The more Lucas kept her with him the more she learned about him and her father. In the end she had to make tough decisions that would effect her father and Lucas. The five year epilogue was a great added touch and included a surprise about Serenity, at least I was pleasantly surprised.
I’m recommending this book for your reading enjoyment. PEACE.

Mafia revenge certainly was the name of the game. Lucas was a mafia king in one section of Chicago. Serenity was the daughter of the mafia king on the other side. Her father killed Lucas' father so he plotted to take his daughter. Only problem with this plan, he fell in love with her. Read what happens when the bullets start flying. It was a pretty interesting story. Enjoyed it a lot.

Penelope Wilde is a master at crafting a short read book that has everything you want - great characters and storylines, a great HEA and seriously very NSFW scenes. Lucas and Serenity’s story is a children of enemies to lovers tale that is delicious! Fantastic short read!!!

Easy spicy read
It's a very quick book to read with limited detail between the two characters. Enemies turn into lovers at first sight. Their chemistry for each other is undeniable. I wish we had a little more back story but the details provided gives you enough to know what's going on. Overall it was a good read

Read and inhaled in one day!! What a read!! Serenity gets more than she bargains for when she manages to break free from her Father’s control. What was going to be a few nights away, turns into an island kidnapping!

Absolutely loved the newest book in the More than Money series. Lucas and Serenity were so perfect for each other. Love how Lucas and Serenity find their perfect ending. Penelope always gives us that five star.

Enjoyable
I did like this story. Lucas and Serenity are great characters. All that takes place kept me reading. I will say there are some errors that annoyed me enough that I almost didn't finish, but the story in whole had me complete it. I do recommend this book.

This book was a short and easy read. There wasn’t a lot of character development and it was a bit rushed. My biggest issue was all the grammatical errors. It made things distracting and at times a bit hard to read.

Serenity was just wanting to live her life and not be under her dad's watchful eye! What was supposed to be a one night stand turned into a life with Lucas! Who is her father's enemy! I love enemy to lover tropes but adding mafia vibes makes it so much better! This was a quick read but so good!

A short steamy read!! Only 100 pages but it was a good palate cleanser after reading nothing but thrillers for the last little while. I really enjoyed it and I want to read more by this author! Her style of writing is chefs kiss 👌🏻

This was a steamy forced proximity, mafia romance. It was a short story with a good pace. The storyline was entertaining and it was full of steam. Lucas and Serenity had great chemistry and I enjoyed the story.

Lots of errors and poor storyline
This really needs to be read again by an editor. The small silly typos made irritating reading. The storyline was a little fanciful. She tells him she’s on the pill and they have sex about 5/6 times and they ‘know’ she’s pregnant!! Really?????

Smutty!!!
This book was 100% SMUT but I do wish the story line was longer and more of it. Most of the already short book from start to finish was SMUT not much on the story.
