It was juvenile, unrealistic and kinda stupid. Didn't like the writing or the plot.
And that's a novella.
So that should tell you something.

Tbh I got bored outta my mind and gave up because I didn't wanna force myself to continue.

And I wanted to like it, I really did.
I just couldn't.
That ain't my jam.

This is the Prequel to L. Steele's Big Bad Billionaire's Series.
If you want to know the origins of the 7, their friendship & how their venture 7A was founded, well, this book will give you an insight into the beginnings.
The book is from Sinner's POV, which I actually think fits perfectly well.
If you're familiar with L. Steele's work , you'll find some answers to the questions that run around in your head, but not all of them..
It's quite a short story, but well worth reading!

I appreciate the prequels that L Steele provides for this and the Mafia Heir series. Not only because they are free but because they allow you to decide if you want to read the full story.

Unfortunately, it's also the reason why I don't think I want to read these stories.

I love the men. Alone they're a solid piece of work but add the women and things start to get cheesy and at times, confusing.

No man is going to refer to himself as "moi." This tells me that the author is unable to separate the voices. A pet peeve of mine because when reading a dual POV novel, I like my men sounding like men, etc.

The word incident was used 21 times across nine chapters. Every chapter, the word is said sometimes three to four times in one scene or monologue. That's just crazy!

I also feel like too much is going on. Between breaking down how each of the seven men is affected by their kidnapping (the Voldemort of this book), the paths they are choosing, the lead they have gotten on said kidnapping and explaining how a 13-year-old boy can skirt the system for six years.

Seems there was NO adult at his his private school - which we still don't know how he got in - and what exactly happened to his parents? Because both of them dying of stress seems like a fluke.

Still, I love Sinclair's personality. A typical to a fault but it makes for good books.

We briefly met Summer in the back of this one (a sneak peek at book one) and she is uninspiring as they come. Aka, nothing to look forward to.

Anyways, I am done. As much as I had moments of interest, it's not enough for me to read so many books to get to the Mafia Heir series.

I can also see that poetry will take centre stage and while I love a good poem, I also like penis to be penis, vagina to be vagina and a simple, "I want to have sex," will do. Drinking from my fountain and all those other analogies are too much for me.

Pleasantly Surprised!! I was not expecting to like this as much as I did and whilst it's only a small look into these 7 men it felt cohesive and definitely made me curious about the rest of the books in this series!! I have a suspicion about 2 of the 7 that I hope I am wrong about! I really want to know more about what happened to these 7 that bonded them so closely, and I am curious to see if their "informant" makes more appearances and helps or is just a one time shower. This is definitely a good book to whet the appetite and prepare it for whats to come, it grips you and makes you want to learn more and of course that ending means we have sooo many questions that need answers!

Prequel teaser that provides insight to the 7 and their business 7A Investments

This is a short prequel to the Big, Bad Billionaires series. You can check out my review on the 1st book (Billionaire's Fake Wife) on Goodreads or Amazon.

This prequel gives a little more insight into the 7 (you get to meet and learn a little about all of them), their dynamics within the group and how they started their business and made their billions.

I would highly recommend reading this before you read the 1st book in the series as it will give you more background to help you understand what's going on in the beginning of book #1 and the motivation behind it.

Not what was promised

This short story is a prequel/origin story of the series and it sets up some things for the first book (or even further, I don't particularly know or care to find out).

The blurb is outright lying, Sinclair doesn't even meet his lady in this story, let alone marry her. I was not happy about that. Also there is a spicy scene that offers nothing and it threw me off. It was put there to show what? That the main character was indifferent and insufferable? The random woman didn't even finish. I might read the first book because it's in my kindle, but that's it

I feel like I missed something. There was so much happening here, so many characters in a short time, not enough back story and so many unknowns. I was surprised by how short it was and it ended so strangely. I’m so sorry but I was not a fan of this book at all.
7 broody guys and unexplained “incident” which is center stage and I honestly don’t even know what I read. I will probably switch series and not see this through.

WOW!!Words fail me because I have so many questions. This is the prequel to the Bad Billionaires series. It takes you back 7 years after the incident. We get a glimpse of how they lived their lives and how each of them starts their journey that leads to their respective books. Will we find the answers we seek in the rest of the books? Only time will tell. If you've read Sinner, Saint, Weston and Damian's books, this will put some things into perspective. As for the rest of them, I cannot wait to read Arpad, Edward and Baron. Well done L.Steele. Brilliant prequel!!

An excellent intro to the Big Bad Billionaires. This gives a look into the seven before their stories and introduces briefly what started it all. It's a page turner for sure that leaves you wanting to know more. I definitely recommend reading this short quick read.

A good introduction to the seven Big Bad Billionaires. It gives a back story of the Seven's relationship with each other and where their stories begin. I've read 3 of the books already, but still this one is very welcome since it's a closer look to their relationship.

ARC Review: Vicious Billionaire
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️

Great prequel to the Big Bad Billionaire series! The dark, secretive backstory provides a great taste of what’s to come with the group of men who become known as “The Seven”. In this one, Sinclair, the broody billionaire MMC, delivers all the morally gray vibes. His marriage-of-convenience with the sweet, off-limits heroine brings just the right mix of tension and slow-burn chemistry.

It’s fast-paced, steamy, and gives just enough hints about the bigger mystery and side characters to make me want more. A solid 4-star read—definitely excited to keep going with the series!

Thank you to @authorl.steele for sending me a copy to review!

I was disappointed. I know it's a prequel and I wasn't expecting a lot but there really wasn't anything here. The only new information is how they got the name and ended up with Meredith. Everything in it is what we already know from the other books.
I received an ARC and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Vicious Billionaire (Big Bad Billionaires Prequel) is told in first person pov being told by Sinclair (Sin) and gives the history of the seven and how they became the seven. I absolutely loved this novella and was very happy it was told in Sin's pov. A page turner that leaves you craving more.

There's just to much going on in this book. And it didn't engage me enough to want to read anymore. The British slang swear words were annoying to read. They were in nearly every sentence they said.

A riveting read that will hold your attention from start to finish, great characters and scenario
This is the actual story of how the seven came in to being and who they are, you will discover as you read the various books the way in which each of these men have been shaped into the men they are today and how they stand firm and loyal with each of their breathren, closer than most families and brothers as fate and suffering has formed their bonds.
Damian wants to be a rock star however he has promised to battle the Russian Bratva and when the others discover what he had done they had allowed Barron to fight in the ring only barely saving him when he had been kidnapped and it had been Arpad that had finished the fight on his behalf. Sinclair had been attacked and almost killed and this woman Meredith Vincent had found the boy and saved his life, she becomes an important rock in both his and the others lives knowing their truths and suffering.
I guarantee that once you read this book you will not be able to wait and read the next book in the series, it has been written so wonderfully with such depth of feeling you cannot help but be captivated.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

4.5⭐|3🌶|2🥵

OK, this is no romance book per se, this is the prequel of the "Big Bad Billionaires", which are romance books 😉

You get a little backstory to "The Seven"
This book is written in Sinclair's POV only. He is the only one of The Seven who doesn't come from money. But after "The incident" he promised he wanted to make himself a billionaire. They all want. And I won't say too much when I say, they managed to do it, or the series wouldn't be called "Big Bad Billionaires", right? 😎

The Seven are:
Sinclair, Saint, Arpad, Weston, Edward, Damian and Baron

I don't want to say too much about the book, because it's a short novella, which is OK as it is "just" the prequel of the series. But I think you should read it before you start with the series.
I already read a few books and I can say, you WANT to read the whole series universe. Especially Sinclair will appear in all the other books 😁 But first I need to read his love story.
Because in the prequel you just learn about "The incident" and their underground fighting.

Stronger Together -
Seven friends from different social groups become best friends after they go through a tough situation together, which affects their lives to the point where they crave danger to feel better. However, all their efforts throughout the years to find the perpetrators of the crime against them has failed, that is until an opportunity is presented that gives them a clue. Unfortunately, chaos ensues before they can follow up on the clue, but a Good Samaritan helps them get back on track towards their goal.

This story is an action-packed and drama-filled prequel, that provides the reader with a background into the characters and sets the stage of what's to come in the rest of the series. You will definitely enjoy reading this book and be happy to recommend it.

I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Vicious Billionaire serves as an excellent prequel and introduction to the Big Bad Billionaires series. This short, quick read gives you a little insight into all seven men - their personalities, their dynamic , how they all got together etc.
Fast-paced and engaging, this prequel is a page-turner that leaves you wanting more. It offers just enough backstory to spark curiosity without giving too much away, perfectly setting the stage for what’s to come in the series. If you’re new to the Big Bad Billionaires (as I am)—or even if you’re already invested—this is a great place to start and a highly recommended read.
I of course loved Shane East's narration and I can't wait to get more from him in the series.

I've already read all of the full length stories of the Seven finding love. While this prequel gives some insight to the start of their investment firm, and how they came to discover/hire Meredith, much of this book was a wash for me. I quickly got tired of the constant name calling and bickering that goes on between them. I realize they are only 19 in this novella but it's just exhausting to keep reading them cursing at each other. Unfortunately, they are still doing that when they are in their 30's, so it seems they don't mature much. Also they have a really piss poor way of treating women, so at 19 there is not much to recommend them.
