JC was caught bragging to the guys. His words costed him the woman he fell in love with. Was it worth it?
Stella is the woman who walked away from him. Her hurting feelings and the parting gift JC gave her makes Stella determined to stay away.
What will it take for Stella to give JC the chance to even talk to her again? Will he be able to keep his word to never let anything come between them again? It's been about three years, but when it comes to JC and Stella's happily ever after, only time will tell.
I just had the absolute pleasure of being able to ARC read "JC" by Bella Renee, and let me tell you, I'm already hooked!
This was actually my first time reading anything by Bella Renee, and honestly, it completely blew me away.
First off, it's a perfectly quick and easy read. Sometimes you just want a book you can dive into and enjoy without feeling overwhelmed, and "JC" totally hits that sweet spot.
It's engaging and fun from start to finish. But more than that, the characters are just…*chef's kiss*.
I found myself totally wishing I had someone like JC in my life. They're just that lovable and well-developed. You'll definitely be rooting for them!
And let's not forget… the spice! 😉 Bella Renee definitely knows how to turn up the heat. It's the perfect touch to add that extra bit of excitement to the story.
So, bottom line: if you're looking for a fun, flirty, and fantastic read, seriously, go grab "JC" right now! You won't regret it. Trust me on this one! You absolutely *need* to experience this book. Happy reading!
*ARC READER FOR BELLA RENEE* I honestly can't remember the last time I LITERALLY couldn't put a book down. I was so incredibly invested that I forgot to eat 😅. In the 3 hours it took for me to read this book, I went through so many different emotions. I felt sadness, loss, longing, anger, love, desperation, lust, and so many more emotions. The story of Stella and JC truly captured my heart, and I did not expect Lila to suddenly he a part of that and a huge one to! This is truly a modern-day fairytale with a handful of spice! The writing and flow were phenomenal, and I especially loved how we got the perspectives of both MCs. You would sit there screaming in your head, "HE FEELS THE SAME," or "OH MY GOD, JUST KISS HIM." I feel compelled to point out that I spotted a couple of spelling mistakes and grammar errors, but with what was happening in this story constantly, I really did not care in the slightest. I needed that jolt of reality that I am indeed in the middle of one of my new favourite books and, unfortunately, not my actual life!
I was so impressed with this book. It was a great second version to her first book Tucker. I love how she did Stella and JC's story, I also like how she brought Delilah in it as well. I love how JC put 2 and 2 together to figure out he was Delilah father. He then ended up being over the moon about being her father and then taking care of her. I love how he gave up a game just to come back and watch his daughter have a recital, realizing that Stella and Delilah were his future and his everything. An that he would do absolutely everything to keep them. This book was really amazing I was really touched and I loved the family dynamic I love how they loved each other it was just amazing. I also loved how she intertwined the characters from Tucker into JC I just love Bella Renee I think she is an amazing author and I can't wait to read more of what she writes!!!
We first meet JC in book one of this series when he helps Tucker win back McKenna, but after 4 years it's now JCs turn to win back his own woman after he tells some of his teammates that his physical therapist, Stella, was just a "glorified masseuse and that he was getting the best happy ending he's ever had." What JC doesn't know about his time with Stella is that she kept a big secret after they "broke up." The secret's name is Delilah.....
This book was an emotional rollercoaster the entire way through, this book is an HEA with a 5/5 spice level. Thank you Bella for giving us a book that makes me excited for baseball season!
JC is not your typical baseball player. He has a sight set on one girl Stella? and he plans on doing everything he can to get her back. He screwed up in the past by saying things that he didn’t mean just to fit in, and it caused him to lose the most important girl in his life. And he has spent the last four years trying to make up for it. We see that he finally achieved what he’s been trying to do with the help of the same friend he helped get his girl back. It is very spicy. I loved seeing the growth of JC at the end when he realized what was most important.
✨️ARC REVIEW✨️ (Thank you Bella Renee for this opportunity)
🌶🌶🌶.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I really enjoyed this novella. At 118 pages, I was able to read it in an afternoon. This is a second in a series but can definitely be read as a stand alone. Cute story with likable characters and very quick resolution of issues. I will say, sometimes the smut part got a little cringy with what the MMC was saying BUT I feel like most smut gets like that at points. I definitely plan on checking more out from Bella Renee since this was actually my first from them.
WOW!!!!!! JC is not your typical single pro athlete. He is in love with his team’s physical therapist, whom he screwed up a relationship with because he was bragging bout Stella being a glorified masseuse that gives “happy endings”. He regrets his actions everyday and won’t be with any other woman. He only has eyes for her.
Stella, after ending the relationship hides a huge secret…… she’s pregnant.
After spending the morning at the zoo together with Tucker, McKenna, and Jamie (forced proximity) JC slowly puts 2 and 2 together that Lila is his daughter. From that moment on JC is dead set on getting his family back together. Stella agrees to give him a chance. JC has everything he ever wanted and almost loses it all over again. This time Tucker, from book 1 in the series, talks some since into him. He wins his girls back and he gets his HEA.
This book was beautifully written and so hard to put down. I read a few chapters then life got in the way, but as soon as I picked it back up I couldn’t stop. Bella can write some spicy scenes that will have you fanning yourself while being so tangled up in the plot you are begging for more. (Not me over here begging for book 3 now)!

I think I love JC even more since the little bits in the first book. I loved how you picked up at the same time with both characters in some parts but also had their own take and feelings in that moment. the spicy was 5/5 everytime! the amount of spice wasn't overwhelming which I appreciate. The second chance romance and the pinning was done so well, you had me at JC for a bit too when I finally found out what happened. I cannot wait for more in this world and see how these characters pop up and grow.
This smutty novella introduces us to JC Maxwell, the lip smackingly delicious 1st basemen for the Atlanta Braves. And the strong yet sensitive Stella, a physical therapist for the Braves.
This 117p page quick palate cleanser will take you on a roller coaster ride of love, lust, betrayal and back to love.
Also you will get a glimpse of where Tucker and McKenna are now too.
Arc review. I absolutely loved this book. I was crying happy tears when J said to Delilah “I pull Delilah closer and whisper in her ear, “Do you think it would be ok if Daddy marries Mommy?” “. I was so over the moon when we find out she is pregnant again. This book was a great read you should definitely get a copy when it comes out.

I enjoyed this sports romance. It was nice to see the charectors growth during the story. It was a really well written story with charismatic charectors who have great chemistry together and witty banter.
This was a fun and quick read. I loved the story of how JC and Stella reconciled and rekindled their romance. The story was overall very sweet and I’m glad I read it. Will most likely read again.
Loved! This was a great second chance romance. Watching JC instantly become obsessed with his Delilah was so beautiful. Just wish it wasn’t so rushed so we could see more of how their relationship evolved.
JC was a wild ride to say the least! I truly enjoyed this one.
We met JC and Stella briefly in Tucker. This book was all about them with a little Tucker and McKenna thrown in. I can see what all the rage is about with this one!
Storyline was a definite 10/10 I love seeing a beautifully written HEA, and this one took the cake. That surprise ending though was EVERYTHING!
Character development was beautiful throughout this. Our characters love for each other is very much emotional and distressing at times. Read it and you’ll understand. But when I say this one was intense, I mean it. I laughed, I cried, I got angry at them, and I it brought me back to the early moments with my own husband. 10/10 I recommend this series and I look forward to what Bella brings us next!
See yall in the next review! Muah 💋

This is book two in the Playing the Game series. It’s a short, quite read. I was drawn in right away. It’s a second chance, sports romance. It’s well written and the characters were likable and relatable. An amazing story.
