Power: Christian End Times Fiction

Rate this book
With power that cuts through the gathering chaos of the age, two people offer hope, healing and a glimpse of the divine.

Elijah Kimani and Miram Law have seized the attention of the world, inspiring followers and inciting enemies. Even the forces of nature respond to their words. And their mission crosses lines between warring factions, as well as between competing spiritual principalities. In the process, they have provoked as many death-threats as they have healed bodies and souls.

While the threats multiply alongside the temptations to be venerated, they remain true to the One who has sent them and the One who provides the power and the protection. It is His power. And all to His Glory.

They have attracted new teammates who bring their own extraordinary gifts, the sort of gifts required to see into the realm in which the real battle rages. Together they demonstrate the power of the Kingdom in a way that combines the force of the Old Testament prophets, the New Testament disciples and Jesus, Himself.

This is the second book in The Two Witnesses series. Be sure to read the first book to see how this cosmic conflict began.

Definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. Love how Anna is growing; how Miriam gives Lily a perfect example; and how can "trigger faith" and pass it on. Reading these books always makes me hunger for a closer and deeper walk with Jesus. May it do the same for you? Yes, it has a cost attached to walking this walk. Is it worth it? You will need to answer that for yourself.
The book is obviously part of a series.

This second book about the ongoing battle between Jesus’ Kingdom and the kingdom of the devil written by Jeffrey McClain Jones continues with a few of the characters and locales from his books in the “ANYONE WHO BELIEVES SERIES”. The Beau Dupere family ministry of miracles circling healing continues now with a team young people who have a collection of Holy Spirit given ministry gifts which all work together under the coordinating guidance of the Holy Spirit. I know of such real groups with similar gifts and mission which do exist and are active now.
The book is fast paced and quite lively and imaginatively written. It takes place in the background of gradual decline and collapse of the U S government. This development was coming to a head when the book seemingly suddenly ended, setting the stage for book 3 in this series. The ending made me realize how emotionally invested in and fond of the story and characters I am. This author is a master of creating credible and diverse characters you can grow to love. They are fully alive persons in all respects, including inspiring spiritual lives and relationships with Jesus and with each other. I consider this author to be a master at his craft and vocation. He never fails to entertain and inspire.
I received an arc digital copy of this book in return only for an honest and prompt review.

The Two Witnesses Book 2 by Jeffrey McClain Jones was a fabulous escalation from book one. I really enjoyed the raised tension and the spiritual amplification. Perhaps Mr. Jones meant this as a fictional account of two people who are special and set apart for something beyond the norm, but I see these books as a primer for where we as the body of Christ are heading. I firmly believe the things that are happening in these books will become our daily bread as we see the time of His return get ever closer and that makes these books an absolute joy to read.

One note, Mr. Jones has a habit of ending his story vignettes when the conclusion is obvious and he does not write out the full culmination. While technically we probably don’t need it, as a story loving woman, I like my happy or not happily ever-afters written out. If this is you too, know that you will still enjoy this book, but set yourself to use your imagination a bit more and you will still love it.

I highly recommend this book. Please know that I did receive an ARC copy, but my opinion is obviously my own.

I was fortunate to receive an advance copy of this second book in the Two Witnesses trilogy, Power. It is definitely a powerful story of the two Witnesses referred to in Chapters 10 and 11 of Revelations. Eli and Miriam are carriers of divine protection and continue to perform miracles and heal the sick in Jesus Christ's holy name. This second book introduced them passing along their healing powers to people in the audience, who turned to heal others. This was a little disconcerting for me, but who am I to question the power of the Almighty? After thinking about it for a while, I reasoned that the Bible tells us that all things are possible through faith. Faith is expressed on every page of this book through all the trials and losses the team suffers. They still stand firm in their faith, and I believe they will be rewarded in the third book of the trilogy, which I am anxiously awaiting.

The author did not disappoint in telling the story of the two witnesses, Maureen and Eli. While reading of their miraculous adventures around the world, one can feel the reality of walking in faith to accomplish what the Lord led them to do.
The inclusion of other faith filled friends they meet, had me thinking, “If I was ever approached, would I respond in similar manner to assist in the plans of the two witnesses?”
Looking forward to book 3 to see how all this plays out.
A great read!

I Had to Chuck It In

While I enjoyed the first book in this series, I just got really annoyed with this one and quit reading it. The storyline flits about from somewhat of a story to another somewhat of a story, never going very deep and just moving on. Like the author had ideas but couldn't flesh them out. It seemed like the moment it got interesting the chapter ended and it just left that plot behind and moved on to something else. Very disappointing.

I received an ARC of this book. I don’t normally choose to read end times fiction, but I really enjoy the writing of Jeffrey M Jones. He didn’t disappoint. If you like Christian fiction, you will enjoy this book and others he has written.

If you're looking for an excellent Christian adventure, this book will not disappoint! I love the characters and the way that the author ties in the many signs of our times. Jesus has us-this rings true throughout. Truer words were never spoken!

A typical second book, scattered and confusing

The characters are good. The action is interesting, but it’s all chaos—as is the world they are living in. America is falling into violent disruption. But Jesus is still in control—of course.

This book is beyond excellent. A wonderful addition to the series. Makes you take a deeper look at your own faith. The characters have great camaraderie with each other. Terrifying that it lines up so well with what is going on in the world.
