Undeniably Unexpected (Boston's Irresistible Billionaires #6) by J. Saman

Undeniably Unexpected the 6th book in this incredible series, and just like the previous books I flew through this one. This book focuses on Loomis Powell and Keegan Fritz.
Keegan is almost done with her medical residency as an obgyn. But she also secretly writes spicy vampire books. And her heart is more in her writing than in her medical profession. When she hurts her hand she is out of commission for the next 4 to 6 weeks.
Meanwhile Loomis' life completely changed a few months ago. A small baby boy was left on his mother's doorstep, claiming to be his son. A DNA test proved that he is his son and ever since he is taking care of him and bonding with him. He's incredibly scared that social services will take him away, and that's the reason why he hasn't registered him yet. He also doesn't know who the mother is or where she is.
Keegan professes her love to her boyfriend Alden. But he doesn't reciprocate her feelings and the relationship ends. She bumps into Loomis and when they see Alden they pretend to be a couple.
When the media leaks photos of Loomis, Keegan and Fenric (his son), Loomis' team wants to capitalize on the fake romance to help his career and show social services he is a stable family man. And that is what kickstarts this beautiful story.
Keegan, Loomis and his boy go to an island and quickly tension and passion arises between them. I love how genuinely they love and how much they take care of each other. The chemistry was spot on. And they are just the sweetest couple together. They communicate, talk, don't let things bottle up and I really appreciated that.
This story is a beautiful feel good love story, and the extended epilogue just made my heart burst with joy.

This was adorable!
Another wonderful entry to the Boston's Irresistible Billionaires. I honestly just enjoy this series so much and these characters are so loveable. I always look forward to a new audio book landing in my inbox. I was new to J. Saman before the start of this series but now I never miss a release!
Loomis and his son had my heart in a tight grip right from the start. I thought he (Loomis) was doing his very best to start fresh and create a life for his boy that he never had as a kid himself. That may go against his "bad boy" image that is out in the world, but we know his heart is in the right place.
Keegan is a doctor but she also writes romance novels on the down low with very few people knowing her secret dream. She has just received an offer to boost her to the big time, right as she injured her wrist, which puts her writing career in danger or at least on hold for the time being. All this on top of her bumping into Loomis and discovering his secret child!
They both have a bit of secret pining for the other going on, while both know that a relationship might not be possible... however, what about a Fake Relationship? A Fake Relationship that could make Loomis have an easier time proving his worthiness as a father. And what if they go on an island vacation to keep the press of their backs?
I'm sure NOTHING is possibly going to happen when they are cooped up on a gorgeous yet small private paradise for days and days... with hot sun and little clothing.. I'm sure it was all be just... fine!
Truly, I loved Loomis, Keegan, and sweet baby Fen. I enjoyed this audio and I gobbled it up. I recommend this whole series and I hope it never ends!
Narrated by Will Watt & Samantha Brentmoor in dual narration. The British accent of Will was delightful and it gave me chills at multiple points. Highly recommend the audio book!

Pretty disappointed with this book. It lived up to my expectation as I was not very interested in Loomis and Keegan from their bits of story given in previous books. The one good thing I would like to point out is the author's writing of Loomis as a British character. One of my biggest pet peeves with books is when authors write British characters but the only word/slang they change is 'mum' instead of 'mom' but the author clearly did some research and there was appropriate British slang throughout Loomis' voice in the story.
Now as for the actual story it was really boring. There was absolutely no connection I felt between Loomis and Keegan. They went from being kind of friends/acquaintances over the past couple of years to being madly in love with each other in 10 days and I didn't believe it at all. On top of that they both agree to move in together and major career changes based on this new relationship which seemed weird and inappropriate to me.
The whole child and family services part of the story was so unrealistic. Reps from Boston are not going to travel all the way to Key West for a visit. And there was so much angst leading up to this visit for it to be a very anticlimactic part of the story. The visit itself was not in the book and did a time skip to 2 hours later when they left.
I also did not feel any kind of relationship between Keegan and Fenric. It was disappointing that there was nothing written about her becoming an instant mother and her inner thoughts on that. There also was really no medical aspect to this book other than her being a resident with a broken wrist so I'm surprised it was on the "medical romance" charts on Amazon. The last 20% of the book dragged on and on. It took me around 3 days to push through it since I was so close to the end and didn't want to DNF it. Usually I'm a big fan of this author but this book is probably my least favorite she has written.

Keegan and Loomis's book was undeniably good. The chemistry between those two was off the charts.
Loomis is Tinsley's best friend. He and Keegan move within the same circle of friends, and it was selected for them to like each other. When she is recovering from a break-up, and he needs help with his little son, they were at the right moment at the right time. To help each other, these two have to pretend to be together. In order to do that, they go to a remote island not only to clear their heads but to decide what to do from then on.
Even before Keegan got together with her boyfriend, she had a big crush on Loomis, but she thought that a man like that would never fall in love with her. In truth, he also had feelings towards her, but when someone dropped his son on his mother's doorstep, he became the focus of his life. He never dreamed of having Keegan for himself, especially falling in love with her. Because this guy right here...he never had a serious girlfriend. To me, he was waiting for something to develop between them. The time they spent on the island was the perfect opportunity for them to see and understand each other, to realize their feelings and act up on them. The love happening between them was inevitable. They were meant to be together.
In my opinion, Keegan and Loomis are perfect for each other. Their love runs deep and they both deserve to be happy. What I loved even more about the book was that there wasn't any third-act. When they decided to be together, they had to be together at any cost. And if there were some problems in paradise, they resolved them together, as the perfect power couple. I can't miss saying - Loomis' son is an adorable little boy, who is loved and cherished by both his father and his soulmate ♥️.
Now, we finally get to the spiciest part. Those two finally being together was like an inferno. Every single one of their love scenes was full of heat, spice and so much smut. Loomis definitely has a dirty mouth, which is perfect for Keegan in order to make their love even more passionate. I love Julie Saman's writing style when it comes to the spicy scenes 🥵.
Overall, I fell in love with these two, and I can't wait to see more of them in future books. I have to admit that Julie has already caught my attention with Vander's upcoming book 😍.

What a beautifully written book! It’s something that I can always count on when reading a J. Saman book. She always does such a wonderful job of bringing out the best feels when you're reading one of her books. Between the incredible narration and her writing, I was completely hooked. Lost in J. Saman's world once again! The vulnerability that came out in both these characters was so raw and beautifully written, and with the found family vibes that I know I can always find in her books, this book was absolutely that!
Beautiful Loomis!! Ahhh, how I loved this man! He was thrown into fatherhood when he least expected it, and the way he stepped up completely stole my heart. He embraced the role as Fen's dad so protectively and patiently. He was one heck of a present father, even with everything he had going on. His big, beautiful heart was perfectly captured in J. Saman's writing. And I loved watching the way he opened up to Keegan, especially when he was honest about the growing feelings he had for her.
I have been so excited for Keegan's book, especially after finishing her parents' book recently! I just love the way J. Saman brings out noticeable parts in each of these second-gen characters that are so clearly parts of their parents coming out in them. Keegan's character intrigued me so much, especially after learning the secret she was hiding from most. I love just how unapologetic she was about it too. If you have read the other books in the series, you know exactly what I am talking about. Her character was so fun, and I loved the relationship that grew between her and sweet baby Fen.
I loved the way J. Saman balanced her good girl, rule-following character with Loomis' bad boy history. The perfect opposites attract, because these two were so cute together! And the things these two were willing to do for Loomis to keep custody of Fen were so sweet!
I loved seeing these two find their HEA, and I am sooooo stoked for Vander's book next! His character is one that I have been not-so-patiently waiting for. I just know it’s going to be perfect!

Perfectly casted!! Absolutely perfect! These two sounded so good together!
Will Watt absolutely nailed his performance for Loomis! He brought out every vulnerable emotion so well and captured Loomis's strength and softness so perfectly. It made me love the character even more. Will is a narrator I need to prioritize listening to more! His performances always blow me away!
Samantha Brentmoor brought to life Keegan in the absolute best way!! Keegan's sweet, spunky side came out so strongly in her performance. I loved every second. But it was so much more than her performance as Keegan. We also got to hear an absolutely BRILLIANT British accent from her in this book when she performed Loomis's parts! I know we all RAVE about her male voice she uses when voicing the MMCs, BUT have you heard this woman's male British accent?! It was absolute perfection. Truly. I immediately was like OKAY GIRL! I couldn’t get over how well she nailed every character in this book.

My little mermaid…swoon! Undeniably Unexpected by J. Saman was an alluring and steamy billionaire/movie star romance that made me warm and gooey inside from start to finish. I loved everything about Keegan and Loomis’ single dad/ fake relationship romance. From their flirty banter to intimate conversations to a cozy, spicy escape, I was here for it all.
Samantha Brentmoor and Will Watt perform this audiobook in dual narration. These two perfectly embodied Keegan and Loomis, making me laugh, smile, and blush with their intense, intimate chemistry. Samantha’s immersive voice created a sensual aura for Keegan, emphasizing her passions for her secret writing career and her desires for Loomis. Plus, her British male accent for Loomis was so damn dreamy. Will’s expressive timbre admitted an air of confidence and swagger for Loomis that was irresistible and charismatic at the same time. I couldn’t get enough of their talented performances.

I jumped into Undeniably Unexpected without reading the rest of the series and you absolutely can. I was drawn in by the cover (gorgeous!) and the premise, especially Keegan being an author and Loomis being British. There were definitely moments I enjoyed, and the accent didn’t hurt, but I just didn’t feel fully connected to the story or the characters. It wasn’t a bad read by any means, just not one that completely wowed me. A solid book, but not a standout for me personally.

J Samson’s writing is top notch and while I’m not always a fab of celebrity romances, this one delivered because I’m a huge fan of Loomis.
I just love him and I loved how witty and funny he was while also pining after Keegan. And Keegan is sassy and strong and overall just a tender heart that I absolutely loved.

Ahhhh! When this landed on my kindle, I dropped everything i was so feral for Loomis & Keegan. Everything about them was perfection. Honestly, this was vying for the top spot in my books over Undeniably Married. Undeniably Married is still my favourite but Loomis, Keegan and Baby Powell are definitely second. Absolutely loved them! I need Kenna and Vander's books immediately

This time we have a single dad movie star in a friends-to-lovers, forced proximity, fake relationship romance with a doctor who moonlights as a romance novelist. It’s a great set up, and this book is a lot of fun with the most gorgeous love story. I loved it!
Loomis Powell was introduced earlier in the series as the best friend of fellow movie star, Tinsley. He is an English actor, and the hottest thing in Hollywood, but his world has been rocked with the arrival of a baby he had no idea about. Little Fen was left on his family’s doorstep, and he has leapt into the role of fatherhood, loving on his son and doing his best to protect him from the attention that he attracts as a huge celebrity. Though he’s facing a fight to hold on to custody.
Keegan Fritz is a member of the huge and all-powerful Fritz dynasty. She’s carrying on the family name by becoming a doctor, but her passion truly lies in writing paranormal romance, and she’s trying to figure out how to balance the two. She’s also got a newly-ex boyfriend who is fighting to get her back, and then she’s sucked into celebrity gossip when she’s spotted on an innocent outing with Loomis and his son. In a desperate attempt to escape it all, she heads off to a remote island in the Florida Keyes for two weeks, and knowing that Loomis also needs some privacy, she invites him along to give him a break from the relentless paparazzi and to fuel the rumour that they’re actually in a committed relationship to show that he’s a family man.

It’s a such a fun set up, I was feeling the chemistry, and the sexual tension is so good! After a slow burn, their first kiss is explosive and things move pretty quickly from there.
They are playful and they tease, and the emotions are running high from the very beginning. It’s also seriously hot and steamy, and the connection between these two is sizzling in all the ways.
Their idyllic getaway can only last for so long though, and real life brings problems and stress – especially when somebody seemingly has it out for them. They have some drama to deal with and some issues to work through, but through it all they are functional and honest with each other, they keep it angst-free, and they’re all in with the heartfelt emotion, and it’s all so freaking swoony!
In the midst of everything, Keegan is struggling with decisions over her future, and I have to say that her concerns over the negative perception of her writing paranormal romance was really well done. The world is so judgy about what is dismissed as “smut”, and Saman made so many excellent points with this one, I thought that whole storyline was handled so well!
This is such a beautiful read. It’s funny and sweet, sexy and beautifully romantic. I loved Loomis and Keegan as characters and there is lots of involvement from side-characters that create such a fantastically fun dynamic when the group all comes together. I love this series so much, and this is another fantastic read.

A really sweet, feel good, spicy addition to the series. Two mature, thoughtful characters who genuinely like and care for each other. One of my favorites.

Keegan Fitz is a 31 yr old Boston billionaire heiress finishing up her last few months of an OB/GYN residency when she slips and falls, breaking her wrist. Loomis is a 29 yr old “bad boy” English actor in Boston for a movie who sees her slip and fall and comes to help her. They are acquaintances (and actually each have what they believe is an unrequited attraction for the other) through their mutual friend, actor Tinsley. At the same time that they bump into each other her ex boyfriend (as of a week) shows up. Loomis intervenes and says that he’s her boyfriend to make him go away. At this same meeting on the street, she realizes that he has a baby boy, Fenric, who she learns later was literally dropped on his mom’s doorstep in England. He doesn’t know who the mom is or anything about him.
After this initial meeting, Loomis and Keegan bump into each other and have lunch together in Boston, but the paparazzi spots them together, declares them a couple, and “outs” the existence of this son, which he was trying to keep private. They decide to go away together to her uncles private house in Florida to escape the mayhem. They stay together in this beautiful and secluded but relatively small house. Fun times ensue.
She is sweet, smart, and also strong and spicy. Keegan can take care of herself, which I love. She’s vulnerable with a kind heart, but not a foolish or silly character. She is also somewhat secretly a romance novelist and trying to decide what to do w her life.
Loomis is a lovely and caring father to Fen and we learn quickly that he thinks the world of Keegan and would do nothing to hurt her.
**The tension in the story comes from them falling in love, trusting it, and also from those outside forces that are causing them trouble w the press; Loomis trying to keep Fen safe, deal w child services, and figure out the story of Fen’s mom. Who is she? Why did she leave him w Loomis?
🫣. No OM/OW - She has a recent ex that she’s trying to avoid, hence one of the reasons for her trip. Loomis gets occasionally jealous, but she’s over him pretty quickly. He famously doesn’t have relationships with people, but falls hard for her.

Undeniably Unexpected is just that. Unexpected, but in the best ways.

Keegan Fritz, one of the infamous Fritz grandchildren, has always been one of the mysteries to me in the friend group in previous books. She’s been there, but I feel like we didn’t know much about her. Now we are starting to see her fall in love with one of London’s bad boys.
Loomis, a famous actor, and Keegan have met through mutual friends, but nothing happened. Keegan was in a relationship until recently and Loomis was going through finding out that he had a child he never knew about. Now they are in the same place, at the same time, needing one another help.
Keegan broke her wrist and is in a semi-life crisis with her career, so she wants to get away from it all. While Loomis needs to hide away for a bit to keep his son’s existence a secret. This story follows Keegan and Loomis. Loomis is a famous Hollywood bad boy who meets Keegan through a mutual friend, Tinsley. After a chance encounter on the street — with Loomis in disguise for privacy reason. What happens when Keegan’s ex shows up and Loomis steps in, claiming they’re dating?
I enjoyed this story, and the audiobook was a great listen in dual narration format if you’re thinking of picking it up. Starting with Keegan, I liked her character and how willing she was to help Loomis as a friend. Learning that he’s a father and seeing him adapt to the circumstances—while trying to change his image in the media—showed great character growth. I loved the scenes where Keegan would step in to help; they were so sweet and really cemented Loomis’s feelings for her. I also loved that we got to see them spend ten days away together. I will say, I did not suspect who was behind the blackmail, but the reveal was perfect. Overall, it was a great read and listen.

If Taylor Swift puts narcotics in all her songs, then Julie puts straight up crack in all of her books -- and this was no exception!
We've gotten a tease between Keegan and Loomis from the previous books, and though Keegan is extra hesitant to start something with Loomis since he hurt her before, she just can't resist the pull that's always been there between the two of them. Added in with sweet baby Fen, these three made the most adorable family!
Loomis is this super famous movie star, and kind of a playboy, but ever since he met Keegan, he's always had a soft spot for her, but he has this belief that he's not good for anyone or cut out for a real relationship, and he never wants to hurt Keegan.. even if he did unintentionally. But when he's thrown for a loop when a baby -- his baby-- is left on his doorstep, he knows he needs to make immediate changes to his life. He will do whatever it takes to give his beautiful baby boy the life he deserved with all the love Loomis never got, and when he keeps running into Keegan, which feels kind of like kismet. They enter a fake relationship of sorts, but nothing has ever been fake between them, and Keegan makes sure Loomis knows how deserving of love he really is -- and man! We've gotten a tease between Keegan and Loomis from the previous books, and though Keegan is extra hesitant to start something with Loomis since he hurt her before, she just can't resist the pull that's always been there between the two of them. Added in with sweet baby Fen, these three made the most adorable family!
Loomis is this super famous movie star, and kind of a playboy, but ever since he met Keegan, he's always had a soft spot for her, but he has this belief that he's not good for anyone or cut out for a real relationship, and he never wants to hurt Keegan.. even if he did unintentionally. But when he's thrown for a loop when a baby -- his baby-- is left on his doorstep, he knows he needs to make immediate changes to his life. He will do whatever it takes to give his beautiful baby boy the life he deserved with all the love Loomis never got, and when he keeps running into Keegan, which feels kind of like kismet. They enter a fake relationship of sorts, but nothing has ever been fake between them, and Keegan makes sure Loomis knows how deserving of love he really is -- and man! Undeniably Amazing!!
Undeniably Unexpected is the perfect summer read!
Escaping to an island off the Keys gives Keegan and Loomis that time to figure out more about themselves and time to be selfish to go after what they want.
I fell in love with Loomis from the beginning! Swooned not only over his British accent, and his selfless need to provide for Fen, but also his undeniable desire for Keegan. I think his resilience to giving in to his feelings for her, drew me in more!
I love all of J. Saman’s books, but I think this line might be my favorite when Loomis has his “a-ha” moment”. “I never thought of myself as good for anyone, but what if I am with her? What if I could be for her?”

Can I just advance review everything for J. Saman as 5 stars? This series has me in a chokehold and no matter what trope that themes, the storyline is always bound to be different and set apart from the others. In this one we get the fake dating trope with a billionaire heiress and celeb actor. Loomis just found out that he has a son, so he has stepped into the role of a single father. When Keegan finds this out, and paparazzi out them as dating due to a white lie to her ex during a confrontation, they lean into the lie for protection. Keegan seamlessly fits into Loomis's life with his son and the rest is pretty much history. What's fake turns real, but when it all gets to be too much, he tries to make a break for it for Keegan's protection. Let's just say I aspire to be like Keegan when I grow up. That woman is headstrong and fierce. This story was a bit light, spicy, and very heartwarming. I enjoyed every second of it.

I have love this series and so looking forward to Keegan and Loomis story, this is a friends to lovers, fake relationship and slow burn.
Keegan is a character has been in and out of the other book in this series as she is a Fritz were Loomis we only met him i Tinsley and Stone book were we got to see the friendship build between Keegan and Loomis.
Keegan and Loomis story is an easy read as i love the fritz family so much Keegan grows in this book with the help of Loomis and Loomis finally see that you can love someone.
The connection these two have to so believable and love Loomis has for his son 💓.
As every seeing the rest of the fritz and central square Gang is always a pleasure and the every so gracious Octavia Abbott fritz is still as strong as every hit the age of 90

I'm sure this has more to do with personal preference than anything else, but I could not connect with these characters. I didn't much care for Keegan or Loomis. The child, Fen, was mentioned only to add cuteness, not much realness. Keegan's broken wrist was thrown in occasionally as a "Yep, still broken and I totally haven't forgotten to write scenes as if it is."
I'm not sure I liked much of anything about this book because I feel character development lacked a bit for me.
Also, it felt as if a checklist was being checked off moreso than a story was being told.
I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 merely because I understand there will be people who enjoy this book, I was just not one of those people.

I have been a fan of J. Saman since I first read Doctor Scandalous. I have read all of the Boston Billionaire Bachelor and Irresistibly Yours series. Undeniably Unexpected is part of her Boston’s Irresistible Billionaires series and the Boston world umbrella. Thank goodness for the family tree at the beginning because sometimes I get a little confused with all the characters interconnected between the three series.
Obstetrics resident, Keegan Fritz, is the leading lady of Undeniably Unexpected. She does have a little secret only a few family members know about— she is a romance author. I absolutely adore her quirkiness. The re-meet cute between Keegan and Loomis is truly something. That scene sets up the whole book and all the subsequent events.
Undeniably Unexpected had me giggling, swooning and smiling. Baby Fen is just the most adorable thing. There is no third act breakup! This book is a single dad, fake relationship, forced proximity, and friends to lovers romance. If you are already a fan of the Fritz family and friends then you will love this book. If you love a newly single (British) dad who falls first and hard for a curvy red head doctor then this book will be your cup of tea.

Another Boston billionaire banger from J Saman!
I really do enjoy these books. Despite having a bit of suspense in them, they’re pretty low angst, fun, and spicy!
Keegan and Loomis were great together! They got on so well with each other and their bond grew quickly, and their relationship was made all the more adorable with bb Fen.
I enjoyed the mystery in this one, and even though I caught onto who the villain was as soon as they were introduced, it was still a good arc. I always appreciate that J replaced a third act breakup with a third act conflict with the villain instead.
The recurring cast of Fritz and the ginormous extended family, blood and chosen, were delightful as always. This crew is always full of banter and jokes and have excellent text threads too.
I have no idea how long this series will go for but I will be eagerly awaiting each new book until the end.

Very slow going and mainly boring. Several times this almost became a DNF for me since I kept putting it down.
Nothing really special about the story line which covers Keegan and Loomis getting together.
It has been awhile since I read the other books in the series and some of those characters are mentioned in this book since they are related in some way but the author doesn’t dwell on them since they are now the side characters.
