A long-awaited vacation in Cuba should be exactly what Ethan needs after nearly losing everything. No cases. No threats. Just sun, sand, and precious time with Tessa. But when a local historian's tales of mysterious ships and hidden caves catch his attention, Ethan can't resist diving into one last investigation—one that could finally reveal the truth about a legendary vessel he's been hunting for years.
Meanwhile in Miami, what starts as an innocent Civil War reenactment turns deadly when Agents Marcus Baker and Robbie Holm discover someone has replaced the prop weapons with real firearms. As they race to uncover who would go to such lengths for revenge, they'll need all hands on deck—including the enigmatic Agent Reeves—to prevent history from repeating itself in the deadliest of ways.
Two cases. Two cities. And a dragon's worth of secrets waiting to be unleashed.
Matt Lincoln has lived his entire life on the coast and he wouldn't have it any other way. A lifelong fan of Travis McGee, Magnum PI, and just about anyone who knows their way around a boat and a good cigar, Matt now lives where the sand meets the surf with his beautiful wife, a son who reminds him way too much of himself at that age, and an Irish Setter who he can never seem to tire out. Life is good.
I have read all of the Coastal Fury books and enjoyed them all. No Pulitzer prizes on the horizon but just good escapism entertainment. I do have 1 suggestion for Mr. Lincoln. If you're going to use real locations in your books you need to get them right. You have MBLIS working out of Miami, Fl which is located in Dade County. You have the agents going just outside of city limits and they're dealing with a sheriff from Hillsborough County. I know all about poetic license but Dade and Hillsborough counties are like 200 miles apart. This isn't the first book that has had Hillsborough County butting up against Miami. Tampa is located in Hillsborough County btw. It isn't that hard to get this right.
Absolutely great, Three Stories in One Exciting Book
This Coastal Fury book didn't disappoint! All had elements of danger and all kept you captivated! One of the best Coastal Fury books ever! Highly recommended!
I am so glad we finally found out more about the Rogue! The multiple investigations were well done and super interesting. The aliens and civil war were well done with the intertwining of people and stories. Can't wait for the next book!
Left hanging again, I’m like the young people listening to the story. So invested in what’s going on the the end is always unexpected. Can’t wait for the next book, hope it’s soon
I don't know how Matt continues to do it, but this was the best book yet. Different stories line, detailed investigations. Ethan and Tessa growing closer. After 55 books, still can't wait for the next one!!!!!
It just gets better and better. The plots, the characters, the whole unexpected twists. I have enjoyed all the books in the series and can't wait to start the next when one ends. Ill be ordering the next book after this review. Kudos to another great read.
