Ava Jace has made my life a nightmare. My arrogant, infuriating stepbrother is the king of our school—untouchable, cruel, and relentless in his pursuit of me. He knows exactly how to push my buttons, how to make me shiver with anger, how to make me want him despite everything. I hate him. I hate the way my body reacts when he leans in close, the way my pulse spikes when he smirks like he already knows I’ll come crawling to him. But I won’t. Because if I fall for my bully, I’ll lose everything.
Jace Ava thinks she can ignore me. That she can walk these halls without feeling my presence, without recognizing that she belongs to me. That’s cute. She’s been mine from the moment we became step-siblings. She just doesn’t know it yet. But I see it—the way her breath hitches when I whisper in her ear, the way she clenches her thighs when she thinks no one’s watching. She likes the way I torment her. She just won’t admit it. Yet.
This short read dives into a forbidden high school romance, packed with steamy moments, secret rendezvous, and unexpected turns that lead to pregnancy. If you enjoy intense, taboo love stories filled with spice, this quick yet scorching tale is just for you!
Be aware, this book is a short steamy romance with an ABF kink. If that troubles you, don't click on it.

This was a pretty terrible book. Like, everything was TERRIBLE. Probably should only give 1 star but: 1. I finished so it wasn’t bad enough to be DNF 2. Mostly spicy scenes
I didn’t realize this was a lactation story which is already not my thing (but ok if story is good). This girl has been lactating for 2 years now (since she was 16) and that was already weird for me (like she doesn’t wear pads and walks around high school just leaking through her shirt? Really??). Then we get absolutely ZERO back story about either MC. It’s starts with them at high school and he says “meet me here again tomorrow”. But don’t they live together, sleep in rooms next to each other, eat breakfast and dinner together?? I mean aren’t they STEP SIBLINGS??? Yeah so that’s never addressed and they keep meeting and hooking up at school? Why? Oh and then he takes her V….IN PUBLIC…..IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE SCHOOL….DURING A PEP RALLY? But guess what? He’s angry the other guys think they can take a turn? WTH dude? You just showed her 🍑off to everyone and that’s ok? How is that possessive?
I dunno, these 2 just seem like dumb young kids with 🍆on the brain. No talk of protection so NO spoiler that she quickly gets pregnant. No talk of feelings (is this just a hookup? Sorta feels like it until whoops….). They both get kicked out. How do 2 high schoolers get kicked out without a dime and make it? We never know…. And book ends.
I just keep thinking they both drop out of HS and live rough and dirty on the streets. The douchy bad parents say sorry after the baby comes. Maybe the kids can go back to living with mom & dad? So (NOT) Sweet🤮🤮
The h has engorged boobs and milk leaks seemingly constantly yet she’s not pregnant nor has she had a baby so it’s never explained how it’s possible-and I know it is but if I didn’t know that it could happen I’d be even more confused. It moved a bit fast and I just couldn’t wait to finish this book.
I’m only 5 chapters in and the story is nothing but cliche lines strung together. It feels like there isn’t actually a story taking place because everything is just surface cliche lines that you would find on the back cover of a book. There isn’t a distinct style or voice forming that should have taken place and emerged me in a story by now, it just feels like one long blurb.
Author, you got me to read the book, so actually write the book. Blurbs repeated over and over in different ways is not a story.
Also, why are they step siblings when the story so far is written as if they are only classmates. Why would he need to wait until school to see her, if they live together? Why meet him at school and not at home. See that’s the entire issue with this book, it’s just tropes with no real story.
You need to write the story first and then tell us all the tropes that apply to the story you’ve written. This book wrote tropes first and no story to back up those tropes. There is literally no depth given to any of the tropes.
She lactates? Okay why? What’s her medical condition? You just threw in the trope and moved on, no explanation.
They are step siblings? Ok, why don’t they act like it? Did he not know of her medical conditions before? I mean he is suppose to live with her right? Why are their meeting spots at school and not home?
No depth. Just cliches and tropes.
I will keep reading because I have absolutely nothing else to do this evening and I will update my review if the story happens to get better and adds some depth.
Update:
Chapter 9 started to feel like a real story and not just corny line after corny line. I was even willing to bump this up to 2 stars. Then chapter 10 went back to being cliche blurbs strung together. This reads like an AI written book, no emotion, no depth, no style.
I figured this was going to be a nice palate cleanser in between some of the heavier, longer novels I’m working through. I thought this was a safe outlet for me to just giggle through and get to the end without worrying. Yeah… I was wrong. The story immediately drops you right into the thick of it, and suddenly I found myself rooting for them from the get-go. The characters didn’t need to be overly deep, but somehow, I felt for them, with them. I CRIED at the end of this book from how heartbreakingly beautiful the final pages were, and felt the beat of my heart elevate during every spicy scene. So, was I wrong in my assumptions, based purely on the cover and book blurb? Yes, absolutely. Am I mad about it? Not one little bit!
This quick and spicy book was a great introduction to this author. Getting drawn into a spicy read is always great but I was left wanting a bit more to their story. I enjoyed Jace’s over the top obsessive nature so the bullying and push and pull between him and Ava was right up my lane. After this surprisingly enjoyable little read I’ll have to look at more of this author’s books.
This was my 1st book by Sadie Smith and it was dark in a kind of depressing way…idk, I didn’t really get taboo too much but a decent amount of bullying. Was good enough I’m willing to try another story by her but I’m undecided if this is a new author for me or not yet…

Jace and Ava's taboo romance was a great read. I love step sibling romances especially if he's her bully. OMG! The lollipop scene. That's the first I've ever read something like that. So fility! Lol
The story jumped around. There were no transitions. How are they stepsiblings, they act like they rarely interact at all? There was no background. Why the emotional drama? I feel like I missed an entire book prior to this.
This wasn’t what I expecting but it was great! A stepbrother taboo romance. Jace is secretly pining for his stepsister Ava, deep down Ava wants the same. Together they explore their forbidden nature, and eventually get caught. Will they make it? Let’s find out.
I had a few issues with continuity, and things that were brought up once then seemed to be forgotten about later. Other things didn't make sense. It felt like a basic read to me. But the main tropes were good for a quick fluff read.
This book seems like to just tried to stuff as many tropes into it as possible for shock value. Most of them didn't even make sense to the story itself.
If they were step siblings then why did they have to meet at school? Why not at home? How come he didn't know about her leaking issue? How were they able to just skip so many classes and go unnoticed? WHERE WERE THE TEACHERS AND PARENTS during this whole book?!
The leaking boob's was also really weird. I know that it can be a real medical condition, but this was too far out of left field. She hides it so noone knows, yet she leaks through her clothes constantly? Her boob's visibly get bigger but noone notices? Also, I know there are certain k*inks surrounding this, but to make her milk herself and get off on that was just cringe.
Overall, a very surface level story that made me roll my eyes with the level of over the top drama there was.
