Rough Waters: A Love on the High Mountain Story

Rate this book
Vanessa Carter is used to fighting battles in the courtroom, not the backcountry. Driven by a personal tragedy and a relentless need to make a difference, the Boulder prosecutor volunteers for High Mountain Search and Rescue, a rugged, elite team that operates in Colorado's most unforgiving terrain. But Vanessa quickly learns that sharp instincts and a sharp tongue won’t be enough to survive this world—especially under the watchful eye of Sergeant Taylor "TJ" Johnson.

TJ is all precision and discipline, a woman forged by experience and hardened by loss. She doesn't have time for rookies, especially not ones with something to prove. But Vanessa’s grit catches TJ's attention, even as the walls between them start to crack. The more they train together, the more the lines blur between challenge and connection, duty and desire.

As Vanessa pushes herself beyond her limits, she discovers that strength isn’t just about physical endurance but trusting the people beside her. And TJ, despite every rule she’s built her life around, finds herself drawn to the woman who refuses to back down. But trust has never come easily to either of them, and when old wounds resurface, they'll have to decide if they're willing to risk their hearts for something neither expected.

Rough Waters is a gripping story of resilience, trust, and unexpected love, set against the breathtaking and treacherous beauty of the Colorado wilderness.

Ci ho messo un’eternità per finire questo libro perché il ritmo era lento, la coppia non mi piaceva, c’erano troppi personaggi sia umani che canini, battute cringe, in più tutto questo è stato scritto con AI? No grazie, lettura sconsigliata. Il primo romanzo della serie meritava, il resto si vede che è stato scritto solo per fare numero, non puntando alla qualità.
