The Nest #3

Mr. Swoony

Rate this book
Hockey players were never my type.

At least, that’s what I thought—until I met Conor Nilsen. In truth, I didn’t know he was the goalie for the Chicago Falcons when he struck up a conversation the night of my bachelorette party.

He proved he wasn’t just some hot guy looking to score when he helped me get my drunk bridesmaid safely back to our hotel. That’s when he discovered my 30-before-30 bucket list—a list I hadn’t managed to check a single item off.

What was meant to be a night of stargazing turned into so much more. The chemistry between us was undeniable, and after one innocent night together, I started to question everything—especially my upcoming wedding to a man I wasn’t sure loved me.

Fast forward to my wedding day, and just as I’m standing at the altar, Conor bursts through the church doors to object. And now, somehow, I’m his roommate. Yikes.

this was cute & a super fast read, i liked the whole runaway bride idea. it was somewhat insta-love ish but i didn't hate it at all, they took time to get to know each other in a friendly/emotionally way before they committed/did anything physical which is something i love to see!! also seeing jade & henry was so wholesome 🥹 they were so cute and have been through so much, so seeing them happy with bodhi was everything 💞 connor was so adorable and we didnt learn much about his past except he was a playboy and the whole thing with lila (it's lwk giving lila from mlb lmaoo) and i liked that. how he was a changed guy and we didn't need to know about his whole history, there was a good amount of character development.

read book 2 in this series which i really enjoyed & i wanted to read this for a while, tho i kinda forgot about the other players on the falcons 😭 and i didnt even realize jade had a bsf... but still excited for this!! heard great things about this hoping it's good 🤞

this book was very cutesy and very demure. i had a blast reading it, though i did notice a few spots that could use a little more pizzazz. still, it was a solid read overall. but i'm totally in a review slump right now, so don’t expect anything profound from me.

thank you valentine pr and literary management for e-arc in exchange for my honest review!

Eloise (29) & Connor (31) meet on the night of her bachelorette party. They hang out for a bit then go their separate ways, but neither can stop thinking about the other and soon it's time for her wedding and he's busting in objecting at the perfect time.

So yes there's a little bit of OM drama since she's engaged when they meet, but nothing physical went down with them until after she left him at the alter so nothing to worry about on that front. Perhaps some would says there's emotional cheating, though. She was only marrying Tristan to make her dad happy, a real people pleaser this one.

Connor is a sweet guy who considers himself a fixer. Now Eloise has no place to live, so he offers her his spare room. What I really liked was that even though they had an undeniable attraction there was no pressure to hop right into a new relationship. He wanted her to take her time to figure things out while working on her bucket list. But he was willing and eager to help her with the sexual items on the list, obviously. Lives up to the book title with his swoony-ness, I suppose.

We, also, have a little bit of OW drama with someone from his past. I didn't like that he tried to hide it from Eloise because she was always giving him the benefit of the doubt, so why not just be honest up front?

Anyway, I enjoyed it and the fun moments of the bucket list.

Narration notes:
Duet! Full cast! 'Nough said!

Series notes:
I think it's best to read in order because the whole crew is involved in each installment.

I love this series so much!

The Nest is the place to be and I love whenever I get to go there. I really love the little found family that has been built and each book just lets me slide right back in.

I loved how Connor and Eloise meet and how they become roommates. Then, it's just a matter of time before they both crack and give a relationship a try. They click in so many ways and as Eloise gets her groove back, she opens up to taking a chance with Connor. She let herself be made small by a belittling partner and now she deserves the world.

Connor is such a teddy bear and I loved him so much. The way he takes on Eloise's bucket list and helps her find herself again... he was Mr. Swoony for sure.

I love this series and I recommend it to everyone. I can't wait for Mr. Charming and to finally dive into the Second Chance that is being teased.

Narrated in Duet Style by Connor Crais & Luci Christian Bell, complimented by a full cast. Audio is truly the way to go with these if you like them.

Mr. Swoony is my first Piper Rayne read in their massive interconnected universe, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to read this ARC! Eloise and Conor’s story is a super quick read that contains just the right amount of spice for a hockey romance with a healthy amount of plot mixed in. While I don’t feel it was necessary to read the other books in the series first, I do think it definitely would have added to the experience. There were areas of the book I wish had been developed more, specifically in Eloise’s personal growth journey, but I still found the book overall very enjoyable. If you’re into hockey romance, this is a great series to get into! Thanks to Valentine PR for this ARC!

Conor Nilsen has officially stolen the crown as my favorite Falcon! Watching him fall head over heels for Eloise was everything I didn’t know I needed. Give me a lovesick, down-bad hero any day, and I will eat it up.

Eloise deserves nothing less than a man who worships the ground she walks on and Conor is exactly the guy for the job. He supports her, prioritizes her, and makes sure she doesn’t put everyone else first at her own expense.

This story was beyond cute! I adored Eloise and Conor so much that I was blushing the entire time. The pacing was perfect, and even though the “love at first sight” trope isn’t my usual jam, these two pulled it off beautifully.

Also, let’s talk about the narration!! No notes. Zero. Nada. The cast crushed it, and I loved being completely immersed in the team, the friendships, and all the swoony goodness. I’m a sucker for duet and full-cast narrations, and this one totally delivered!

“I want the job. I want to be the one to calm your fears, to empower you, to be the one you seek out to find refuge.”
She's timid and shy and scared and basically a recovering people pleaser, and he is oddly too perfect, like creepily, and the only reason it's endearing is that it's in a book.

𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨:
Eloise is basically preparing for the life of a trophy wife, but she’s starting to realise she’s not exactly thrilled about it, especially since her "husband-to-be" would much rather spend time with his friends than her and never makes her a priority. Then, on the night of her disappointing bachelorette party, she meets Conor Nilsen, who is instantly captivated by her. They end up spending the night just talking, getting to know each other, and discussing a list of things she wanted to accomplish before turning 30 but never got around to. THIS has such an effect on Conor that a week later… he actually STOPS HER WEDDING. Now, Eloise is homeless and single, and all she has is her list. Enter Conor, ready to swoop in with a comfy bed and a place to find herself… or maybe something more.

𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
This book premise is the kind of scenario that only happens in a book or a movie. A man sees a girl at her bachelorette party, tries to interact with her despite knowing she's technically unavailable; and she, being unhappy in her relationship, engages in a cute little night with him, setting clear boundaries that she is faithful and doesn't want more. Then he makes statements like, "If you weren’t in a relationship, I’d want to kiss you because there’s just something about you.” And that premise? It just made me a little uncomfortable.

Now, I don’t mind cheating in books, but I prefer it in darker romances, not when the MMC is meant to be NOTHING BUT GREEN FLAGS. And this premise starts off with emotional cheating…

Yes, surface level it was cute the way he stops the wedding and all, but then immediately following that, he’s like, "I still want to sleep with you. I still want to be with you. You’re different, but I don't want to pressure you at all" AND while he claims he won’t pressure her, HE ASKED HER to move in with him, because that is clearly going to give her the space she needs to "find herself". Like IF YOU ARE living with a guy you have an emotional connection with and extreme sexual tension... THAT IS NOT GIVING YOU SPACE... Because HE LIVES there will ALWAYS be in the back of her mind.

So yeah... I struggled with the plot because parts of it gave me real red-flag energy, which felt weird since Conor is written as the ultimate green flag. And compared to her ex? Yes, he’s better. Her ex never gave her attention, never appreciated her, never cared for her, never put her first, never made time for her, and basically used her as an accessory. But while Conor doesn’t have the same blatant red flags... he has them, just disguised under his charming, swoony, perfect romantic hero characteristics.

THEN WHAT MAKES IT WORSE... He continues to make decisions for her without communicating, while she is literally screaming at him to stop dictating her life and feelings. She from the start says she has never really had the chance to do this and HE DOES EXACTLY THIS...

BUT... if I put all that aside and remind myself that this is fiction, there were some cute elements. Sure, the instalove connection was shoved down your throat, and you had to accept that these two were soulmates, but I did like aspects of their dynamic. They played games together, had fun in simple, everyday moments, and were just comfortable being around each other. It’s those effortless moments, whether getting Tattoos or just baking a cake, that make fictional relationships feel real.

I also loved that the dirty talk was both-sided. As normally books are always the MMC that drives the talk and is the only one who says things... and SHE was a little spicy in the things she said... I just wish we actually got a scene on a washing machine... (iykyk)

I really enjoyed it. It was such an adorable and cute story. I love how supportive and caring Conor was. And Eloise was nothing but brave.

Tbh I had my eyes on Tweetie the whole time 🤭. I can't wait to read his book next.

It was a smooth read. I was waiting for some big drama but everything went well. They were really understanding and cute.

I loved reading the banter and bickering between the boys and other couples crumbs. Bodhi's scenes were adorable. I love the bond girls formed and have this girl gang going on.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR TWEETIE'S BOOK.

Ok I'm just going to say it... Mr. Swoony is hands down the BEST book in this series! And you cannot convince me otherwise. Connor sure did live up to the title if I do say so myself.

I have come to the quick realization that I will now need more books with the trope of stopping the wedding because holy crap. It's a trope that needs to be done more and I am so thankful that Piper Rayne decided to give it us. The fact that our boy Conor had a chance encounter with Eloise and the sparks were so strong he couldn't stop thinking about her so he thought it was a smart idea to stop her wedding was everything I didn't know I needed. We love an MMC that goes after what he wants and boy did he run head first right towards Eloise.

I knew that I would love Conor the most after I read Mr. Broody solely based on the epilogue and I was right. This man is literal perfection! I always love a former playboy who literally will do anything for the love of his life. And if that happens to be stopping the wedding when he knows she is unhappy then so be it. I find that to be the greenest flag ever! And then for him to offer her room in his condo to help her out. SWOON! But what really made Conor so swoon-worthy? The fact that this man found her 30 Before 30 Bucketlist and decided to make it his mission to help her cross every single thing off that list. And when he finds a spicy bucket list, he is even more eager to help his girl out.

Now Eloise, I find her to be rather relatable. She is a people pleaser who found herself stuck in a relationship longer than she wanted to for many reasons. But she was so unhappy and never put her happiness first. But when she met Conor, she realized it was time to put her happiness first. She was able to find herself again. And I feel like many of us have been in a relationship where we lost sight of ourselves. The relationship and love that she deserved came a knocking in the form of Conor Nilsen and she opened that door wide open and I love that for her.

Okay, that is all. Just know I devoured this book! Couldn't put it down and I think it was because I haven't read anything like it. It was refreshing. And like I said, the best one in the series! So let this be your sign to read this series!

You should most definitely read this book if you like:
- Hockey Romance
- Stop The Wedding
- Roommates to Lovers
- Reformed Playboy
- Close Proximity
- Boy Obsessed
- Found Family

* I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Piper Rayne and Valentine PR for allowing me to read Mr. Swoony as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.

Could a chance acquaintance led to a different trajectory for your already planned life? If you ask it to Eloise she'll definitely say yes, because on her bachelorette party night she met Conor who made her see her life under a new light, the starlight.

The title, Mr. Swoony, is so accurate.
Conor is nice, sweet and swoonworthy. He met Eloise at the wrong time, she is confused and she doesn't know what she wants to do of her life, but I've appreciated how he gave her the time and the freedom to make her own choices, without rushing and pressuring her. Eloise is in a tough situation, she doesn't want to make a wave, but once she opened her eyes she can't lie to herself anymore, faking to be happy in a toxic relationship. I adored her, because she didn’t jump right into another relationship, but she showed her feelings for Conor when she was ready, after she understood that was what she wanted for herself and not to please others.
It was a pleasure to see Conor and Eloise relationship growing, I've enjoyed their easy and funny friendship, and I was really happy when they became a couple, their love is so precious and spicy.

I haven't read a lot of Piper Rayne works, but this series is getting better and better book after book.
I despise love triangles tropes, but this author duo wrote this charming story with their humorous and flowing style without get near to it. I highly recommend it.

Without a doubt, this was my favorite of the series so far!

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with a “stop the wedding” trope, but it was so much fun. Of course, nothing can beat the iconic moment on Grey’s Anatomy, but this was close. There was just so much chaos and craziness going on and I absolutely loved it. I honestly couldn’t put the book down.

I knew going into this that there would be love at first sight, but it somehow didn’t feel that insta-lovey. I think it helped that the authors had Eloise and Connor acknowledge that they have this connection/spark between them, but then they slowly worked on building their friendship first before they gave into their feelings. It made the romance more believable and allowed for some angsty and tension filled moments.

I also absolutely loved Conor! He’s probably my favourite male lead of the series. He was the sweetest with how he always supported and uplifted Eloise. I adored how he helped her complete her 30 under 30 list as well and how he never judged her for the things she put on it because there were honestly some weird ones.

All in all, I had the best time reading this book and I’m so sad their story is over🙈

This book was sooooo fun! I am loving this group of friends in this series and how every story is sooo different, but they are all soooo enjoyable and unique!!

These two, Conor and Eloise’s story was as much about them as a couple as it was about them figuring out about themselves. Conor the reformed playboy fixer just wants to help Eloise to feel safe and loved. Eloise for the first time feels free and loved. But is discovering how to love herself and not please everyone!

This book was soooo much! Their love for each other flew off the pages. I couldn’t put this down!! I lovedddd the “stop the wedding” I never read a book like this, it was written sooooo well!! It was so fun and sweet and soooooo swoony!!! It will melt your heart!

The Nest is such a fun series, and I love all of the guys on the Chicago Falcons team. I really enjoyed the premise of this one with a runaway bride and roommates situation. Connor was the perfect Mr. Swoony!

Connor helps Eloise with her drunk bridesmaid the night of her bachelorette party, and they end up hanging out all night together. Nothing happens except they form an instant connection and attraction, but Eloise is about to get married. She has been having doubts about her fiancé and especially after she met Connor. He was so smitten with her he showed up to try and stop her wedding, and things got crazy. Connor asks her to become his roommate since she needed a place to stay, and they start to really fall for each other.

Connor was the perfect swoony, cinnamon-roll hero, who knows how to treat his woman right. He starts helping Eloise with her bucket list and jumps at the opportunity to also help her with her sex bucket list. These two were so adorable together, and I loved how Connor didn't want to rush into things with her because he didn't just want to be a rebound. He was so sensitive and supportive of her.

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧
I am loving this series, and the audiobooks are fantastic! This had duet narration with Connor Crais & Luci Christian Bell, with a full cast for the side characters. Connor Crais is one of my favorite narrators, and he was so swoony and sexy as Mr. Swoony. I highly recommend this series, especially on audio!

I adored Conor and Eloise and I was super excited for their story. I loved their instant connection and undeniable chemistry. The slow burn and tension leading up to their first time together was *chef's kiss* amazing. I also don't think I've ever read a "stop the wedding" trope and it was a nice change up. The chipmunks and Conor had me cracking up in that whole lead up to the big "stop the wedding" moment. I loved their friendship and their plans and their adventures while checking off items on their bucket lists. I loved the story of second chances in life and re-discovering yourself. They were both so adorable and Conor definitely redeemed himself for his behavior in book one.

I have fallen in love with another professional hockey player! This series keeps getting better and better and I am absolutely loving it. I wasn’t able to put this down. Conor is like the title. MR. SWOONY!!

Mr. Swoony is the 3rd book in the Nest Series following Eloise and Conor. Eloise is always trying to please other people. She doesn’t think about her own happiness. When Conor meets Eloise, He sees that she isn't having a great night at her own bachelorette party. He was instantly smitten. He wanted to make sure her night gets better for her. During their time together, Eloise feels like she has truly been seen for the first time. She is starting to second guess her engagement and if it's truly something she wants.

Once her wedding day arrives, and her groom doesn’t even watch her walk down the aisle, she is convinced that he isn’t the man for her and is about to walk back down that aisle until... Conor shows up to object to their vows. She needs some time alone to figure out what she wants for her life. Eloise has no place to go. Conor, like the swoony man he is offers her to stay with him and she agrees. The “stop the wedding” moment was everything I needed and more.

I really enjoyed this one, I love them so much. Their chemistry right off the bat was EVERYTHING and normally I am not a huge fan of insta love but MAN, I ATE THIS STORY UP! These characters are starting to become my favorite and the friend group. SO SO GOOD. I can’t wait for the rest of this series.

Thank you so much to Piper Rayne and Valentine PR for this ARC! 😊

This is the third installment of The Nest series. The second book was shelved as a favourite-book 🩷. I adored it. I loved it. I cherished it.
I knew this book could not topple that one off but it was close enough. It was cute, heartwarming, endearing and comforting.

🏒 Connor, is a playboy hockey player. In highschool, he was chased after for fame, in College he was too focused on hockey and didn't have time to date. And when he became pro he just enjoyed the spotlight he was living in. Add to that the fact that his mother cheated on his dad repetitively. Well, that's bound to cause a relationship complex.

🪷 Eloise, is a people-pleaser. The fruit of a ONS. Her mother was middle class. Her father was a country club member, golfer, suited businessman with a trust fund bigger than the state of Texas. She always wanted to please her dad, to feel wanted. She meets someone who is a replica of him. Her dad is satisfied and showers her with compliments and affirmations for being part of his world and then... he dies 💀
Being a People-pleaser and thinking that this is what her dad always wanted, she says yes to her stuck up empty skull of a fiance.

👰‍♀️ In her bachelorette party, she meets Connor. He feels sorry for her because she's having the worst time ever. He keeps her company while her best friend is getting shitfaced. He helps her take her friend back to her hotel room. They end up spending the night stargazing and talking. They feel an instant connection which scares both of them and agree to cut the night short because she's having second thoughts about her upcoming wedding and he's questioning his life's decision of never-dating-forever-a-playboy.

Fast forward, she calls off the wedding, moves in as his roommate. They get to know each other's sweet side and a beautiful relationship blossoms between the two.
He discovers she has a bucket list and they proceed to fulfill each and every one of them. She even encourages him to make one of his own so they can do it together.

💔 The third act breakup which actually lasted only a couple of hours was totally his fault. Men being men think if they try to solve "other women" related issues behind their women's backs is actually going to work when it always ALWAYS blows up in their faces. And this is what Connor did. He was a clueless fixer who ended up tumbling their house of cards.

🥰 What I absolutely loved is Eloise's maturity and how she handled all these pestering puck bunnies scenes and the fact that she always gave him the benefit of the doubt.

They have a lot of cute scenes together, this is one of my favourite. They're at a bookstore, he realises there's a big hype about hockey romance and is enthralled that he could pretty much be one of these fictional hockey boyfriends. 😆

"Well, you could go over and wear a sign around
your neck that you're a real-life single hockey
player," Eloise says.
"That's false advertising."' I follow her to the check-
out counter.
"You are a hockey player." She places her books on
the counter, and the girl scans them.
"But I'm not really single."
"Yes, you are." She shakes her head at me.
"I'm taken. I'm just not dating her yet."

I loved these two so much and I adored the mentions of Henry, Jade and Bodhi from Book 2. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

this was a fun, quick read!
this is my first book in the series and it was very easy to pick up who was who, and a little of the characters back stories.
there were so many cute moments between the MC’s and i loved the found family aspect of the book — some of it just felt a little rushed to me where i wish i could’ve fallen in love with the characters a bit more.
i found the book set up a lot of plot for the next character’s standalone so i feel like his book will be done really well! he honestly interested me a lot.
i found myself smiling at some of the scenes and at first i wasn’t sure how i felt about how they met, until we met tristian. honestly i no longer feel bad. i wish we got to spend a bit more time with the characters so i could’ve connected with them a bit better, but overall it was a fun book!
thank you valentine pr and piper for the arc 🫶🏽

4.5 🌟

I was so excited excited for Connor’s story and I am so so happy with how it turned out! It could have gone all kinds of ways and I was thrilled that Piper had him being a really sweet MMC. He was still learning and trying to switch out of the single life mentality but he wasn’t hesitant at all when it came to her. He even had an adorable possessiveness to him that he kept reining in.

There were so many cute moments from their meet cute to him finding her list of 30 under 30 things to do. So so many more were sprinkled throughout but I don’t want to spoil anything!

Their connection was so beautiful and the respect he had for Eloise was everything. The slowwwww burn was totally worth it because when they connected on a true relationship level it was 🔥! I love how Piper connected all the characters and their friendships were in total friends goals.

This whole series has been so much fun while also showcasing life’s obstacles and the more precious romantic moments. I am so ready for Tweetie’s story because I know it will be an emotional one.

Huge thank you for this free gift of a read!

Conor Nilsen is simply THAT MAN. He is such a caring and respectful person, and he is just the perfect MMC overall! This is the first book I've read by this author and in this series and I desperately need to read more!! This man is so flirty but not in a cringey way and I ate it up!

This book was so healing and it just felt right. The characters, the plot, and the little bits of suspense were all great and I enjoyed reading it. Overall, great book!!

“Mr. Swoony”
The 3rd Installment In-
“The Nest Book Series”
7⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️READ & AUDIOBOOK!!
Ohh I am in love!! I was utterly enamored🤩And I mean
I completely destroyed this freaking book up. I’m beyond obsessed! Literally from the first words to the last I knew I was all in hooked and knew from the beginning it was going to be a 7 star Audiobook & Read🧡✨The narrator's portrayal of each the characters is spot on especially with it being an full casted audiobook, the conveying of every intense emotion and laugh-out-loud moment, will keep drawing you in, so deeply that you can't help but keep listening and reading🧡🤩The authors truly gave their all with their hearts and love, passion, dedication to this book! I adored it beyond words, especially with it only getting better with it’s hockey romance, roommates-to-lovers, and reformed playboy twist! The way the authors wove all these elements together is pure profound talent leaving me hungry and excited what’s to come next by the lovely Piper Rayne🥹🩷

“Mr. Swoony,” Stars two engrossing main characters-
(✨💚Eloise Corbin & Conor Nilsen🏒💚)
Narrated by Connor Cris & Lulci Christian Bell.
Piper Rayne beings their tale when-
Eloise, never thought she’d fall for a hockey player. That was before she met Conor Nilsen. Their chances encounter on Eloise bachelorette party night. It was unexpected, to say the least. She didn't know he was the Chicago Falcons' goalie at the time, but Conor’s kindness in helping her with her drunk bridesmaid left a lasting impression.
That's when Conor stumbled upon Eloise’s 30-before-30 bucket list - a list she had yet to conquer. What was supposed to be a night of gazing at the stars turned into something truly unforgettable. The sparks between them were undeniable, but Eloise, was already promised to someone else. That was until Conor made a dramatic entrance at her wedding, putting everything on hold. Now, their unlikely roommates - what's next? Only one way to find out and it’s by reading this amazing book ASAP!! and not only does the Authors create an amazing story plot!! but they do for their beautiful main characters-

Conor Nilsen, the one and only book boyfriend of my dreams and book boyfriend in every lifetime💋✨
As a professional NHL goalie and an everyday hero, who has completely stolen my heart💚I was obsessed with his character from the moment I met him in the previous book and even more with the start of this one!
My love for him will always endure endlessly🥹
His character is defined by his joyful spirit, hilarious sense of humor, and a heart that's full of love and devotion for those closest to him, and it shines brightest for his forever Eloise🧡✨who he loves and respects 24/7, always by her side and shielding her from any harm whenever possible, and constantly putting her first and offering reassurance, every single minute!! The bittersweet moments he shares with her is incredibly endearing and captivating, making you drawn to him even more especially with the he protectionism he showers her with making him even more! attractive and sweet🥹making your heart swell with even more love and appreciation for him than you ever did before✨

Eloise, my girl🩷✨is the epitome of a stunning woman, radiating passion and elegance in every aspect of her life, particularly when she's giving it her all. Her bold exterior hides a kind heart, which shines brightest when she's with the love of her life-Conor❄️✨the one who brings out her best and drives her to be her most ambitious self🥹
Her personality strikes a perfect balance between love and passion, infused with warmth and determination that shines vibrantly in every scene, lending complexity to her life story that will forever hold Conor's heart head over heels each and every page!✨whom she also deeply cares and loves for and continually displays a strong desire and thoughtful adoring heart towards him, always expressing her love in creative ways 24/7! Her fierce protection of him is a beautiful thing, forging a deep emotional link between the audience and each character, whose intricately woven backstories are testaments to the writer's heart, artistry, and passion✨🩷

All together Piper Rayne creates this all so beautifully together and I am so absolutely excited for the next installment in the series🤩

THEE most apt title because oh my word, Conor came through with the most unexpected swoon I never saw coming!! Be still my heart, this man!!

Conor fell and fell impossibly, undeniably and irrefutably hard!! Smitten was a serious understatement. Dare I say, one of my most favorite Piper Rayne heroes written!

I loved the way all he wanted was Eloise to be happy and fulfilled. Living life as a people pleaser can be overwhelmingly taxing…and Eloise had finally reached her limits. My heart soared when she made the decision to choose herself and her pursuit of happiness.

Watching Conor and Eloise work through her 30 before 30 while falling deeper for each other was just the sweetest! Entertainingly fun. And also page sizzling spicy.

The cherry on top was the all star narrator cast of Connor Crais, Luci Christian Bell, JF Harding, Troy Duran, Sean Masters, Teddy Hamilton & CJ Bloom. They all did positively fantastic. The energy, the laughs, the camaraderie, the love, this cast oozed it all so well making for an audio I couldn’t stop listening to and in desperate need of more when it ended.

Piper Rayne NEVER disappoints!
***Updated review with Audiobook***

Loved it!!!
Mr Swoony is the third book in The Nest series. It can be read as a stand alone but for best experience I recommend reading/listening in order.

What to expect :
Strong relationships
Found family
Banter
Spice
Humor
Stop the wedding moment

This audiobook was absolutely brilliant! The multi cast narration brought this story to life. Truly the best way to experience this series!
Connor and Eloise are relationship goals! They are sweet together and supportive. They are adventurous together and so SWOONY!
Connor is a hockey player known for his playboy ways and being a brick wall of a goalie. He’s a nice guy and would help anyone out.
Eloise is an engaged young women who is a people pleaser. Her wedding is coming up fast but is it what she really wants?
One innocent night during a disaster of a bachelorette party Eloise meets Connor and he helps her take care of a friend who drank too much. They talk and laugh, both feeling at easy and things they probably shouldn’t. But the night ends.

Neither of them can stop thinking of the other all week long. The big day comes… will Eliose go through with the wedding? Will Connor move on from the girl he had one innocent and platonic night with???

Narrated in multi cast duet by Connor Crais and Luci Christian Bell with supporting narrators Sean Masters, JF Harding, Troy Duran, Teddy Hamilton, and CJ Bloom

Hockey romance
Former playboy
Stop the wedding
Roommates to lovers
Found family
Slow burn 🔥 with tension

This is book #3 in The Nest Series. It follows Conor and Eloise… we get a tiny glimpse at the end of Mr Broody of what might be to come.

I have been impatiently waiting for this book!

Conor is known as a playboy, hockey player, not the type to settle down. He’s a caring and friendly guy.

Eloise is engaged but not sure about her future. There are things she wants to do that she might not get to if she follows through with the wedding.

Conor and Eloise share instant connection and attraction. The chemistry between these too is heavy. The entire cast of characters are lovable and so supportive of each other.

Omg, I knew I was going to love this book. You can hardly go wrong with a Piper Rayne book!

I loved Conor and Eloise so much! Can I just say how much I love the name Eloise?? I do!!

Okay, first off, I loved the banter, the spice, everything! It was soo good! Ahh! I really loved the tropes. I really enjoyed their connection! They truly were meant for each other.

I've been waiting for Conor to get his own book ever since his sister got hers, and then at the end of hers, we get a little tease of Conor and Eloise! Yess!!!

I was so happy how their story turned out. Conor is so sweet, and I loved how he was with Eloise and her list of 30 under 30 things to do.

I have been loving this series so much, and the friendships/family that have been created.
I'm really looking forward to Tweetie's book!!

I definitely recommend reading this book and the series!

Oh yeah! Conor is DEFINITELY Mr. Swoony 😮‍💨🫠

Hands down, the best book in the series! ✨ Finally—adults handling things like adults!!! I laughed, I kicked my feet, and I lost count of how many times I had to fan myself over all the swoon-worthy things Conor says and does 🤭

The audiobooks are so well-narrated with a full cast, making the immersive reading experience with this series absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for your next hockey romance and an incredible audiobook, The Nest series is a must-read (and listen!) 🤍

And that epilogue?! I need the fourth book now 😍😍😍
