Nothing bad happens in the Walen Prime system, right?
When Noah and his friends receive a distress call from a merchant fleet in Walen Prime, they respond with all haste. "Happy as a Walen" is a saying in the Gavant Reach and no one can imagine murder and mayhem in the most welcoming star system in the galaxy.
It doesn't take long for Noah and his friends to realize that the people are kind, generous, and uplifting, but their neighbors are not. Even more challenging are the beautiful but harsh landscapes of Walen Prime.
Grum, a key member of Kayan's crew, is excited to go home, but not like this. The worst pirate war in a thousand years is about to break out, and only Noah and his friends can stop it.
Awesome read! Another great book in the series. It’s difficult to say which is the best installment in the series, if asked. For me, they all are fantastic reads, each unique and engaging, with many unsettling moments, unexpected scenarios and enthralling and exciting experiences. I will hate it when the series ends.
Pirates are attacking Wallen ships and Noah and crew are called in to help. A Marvik warrior may be the figurehead, but rumors suggest he is working for someone else...and as they investigate things may be about to get complicated! This tale is full of intrigue, suspense, double crosses, surprises, Seer and another race and their artifacts, legends, potential romance, fighting, Piracy, hostages, and a possible involvement of an old foe.... An entertaining read that may be the precursor for a new direction....
It's not a day unless trouble is finding Noah. Of course that means more life threatening, earth shattering events. I continue to appreciate Noah's having taught his alien companions human slang and movie quotes.
