This is a collection of mostly vapid and unimaginative stories, many with typographical and grammatical errors, showing it was not adequately proofed, let alone juried. A couple of the stories merit only slight attention. I read through the collection, trying to find anything to pique my interest. All I discovered was that it was a waste of time.
There are many great short stories in this volume. I enjoyed reading them and because it was an anthology they were short reads and I could put the book down for a week or more and start a new story each time I picked it up.
Not my favourite SF anthology. Some of the stories just didn't grab my attention. Quite a few started well but peetered out or finshed abruptly. I assumed the authors had a word count they should not exceed but towards the end there were some quite lengthy stories.
As with any anthology there are the good and a few that shouldn't have made the cut. However (IMHO), none were excellent, just one or two very good.
Disappointing for me but I appreciate the number of authors that were able to get their work published.
