Dark Beauty & the Beast mafia vibes & Soo addictive!! Every time I had to put the book down I would get so bummed out because this book just pulls you right in. I was able to read the first one & that was the first time I ever liked a mafia book. I thought there’s no way the story can get any better & this book blew it out of the water. She is such an amazing author!
A Life of Ties is a mafia romance book that also puts you in a world full of secrets (also family secrets), obsession, & lies & slow burn. It’s blended w/dark romance & emotional & physical trauma. I can’t give away too much on the trauma because you have to read the first book. I will say you will be on the edge of your seat from the first sentence in the first book all the way to the last words in this book.
The characters are so messed up from the lives they live & all the ties. The tension & banter & fear of showing true feelings are chefs kiss. Every time you hear a chapter from one character’s point of view you get so upset that it’s ending yet you can’t wait to hear the other characters point of view and they line up so perfectly so you’re not left hanging. Sometimes you just want to yell at them, but it’s phenomenal. The main characters were truly meant to find each other. In a way it may be cheesy, but they were missing puzzle pieces, & the only way they could become one was to be together.

This book is one of the most well-written and wholesome book I read so far in my life. I discovered K. M. Evermore through a TikTok post and got the chance to read an ARC copy of A Life of Ties. Throughout the entire book, I felt conpletely and utterly consumed by the universe and the twists and turns of it all. Reading how two broken souls could make a beautiful and heartwarming story come alive was such a wholesome experince. Ellen is such an inspiring woman with how much she went through and it is truly admirable that after all the lies, twists and heartache she is still able to smile and have hope in love and life. Luciano is a characther who would do anything in his power to protect the people important to him which shows widely throughout the book. A Life of Ties is a book that has the perfect amount of spice, twists, and suspense, while having an amazing plot and storyline!
okay this book id would class as slow burn dark mafia romance for sure
the main fmc is struggling to understand her life what's left whats there whats not she is struggling with everything until he comes into her life capturing her in ways even she didn't understand and tried to deny is he the man she can trust though will she allow him to love her or will she turn away and run further into the darkness she seems to have allowed to swallow her 🤔
This book for sure had me captured the MMC is definitely one to watch the side line characters who all have other parts to play in this story are present within this story but the MMC & MFC are definitely captivating with their story in this book
A Life of Ties pulled me into a world of secrets, obsession, and emotional knots I couldn’t unravel — and didn’t want to. K.M. Evermore masterfully blends dark romance with psychological suspense in a way that left my heart racing and my mind spinning.
The characters are deeply flawed and painfully real, and the tension between them? Off the charts. Every chapter ends like a trapdoor opening beneath your feet — you fall deeper and deeper, unable to stop.
If you love morally gray characters, haunting pasts, and stories that blur the line between love and control, this one’s for you. Unputdownable. Haunting. Brilliant.
I went into these books blind after kindly recieving an arc of the second book and i was pleasantly suprised!
It's a slow burn, dark mafia romance with psychological themes and honestly it had my mind RACING 😂
The writting was really good, the book flowed really easily and i was hooked. I didn't want to put it down! The characters were mostly all likeable and definitley morally grey. 🫣
I was really glad i read this because its not really like anything i have read before. I would highly recommend!
