Remi’s whole world was turned upside down when she lost her father to cancer……
She is a 21 year old college student who is on the fast track to getting her business degree, well let’s just say that she’s trying to , until this sexy biker turn her whole life upside down……
OH did I mention the fact that soon she’ll be running a multimillion-dollar trucking company…… and trust me when I say this is that Remi does not need any added stress in her life like the FBI knocking on her door
To make matters worse, her mother who’d abandoned her hours after giving birth to her just happened to pop up out of the blue trying the black male for for a large amount of money
Steel is the Sergeant of arms Vikings MC, his club was responsible for eighty-five percent of arms dealing on the west coast. That, drugs, stolen vehicles, and a few legit businesses were how they made their money.
Now don’t get me wrong Steel got a lot of things going on in his life as well like the fact that there’s a rival MC trying to take over there turf, plus there are some issues with the Cartels in the area……… But somehow still finds time to stalk Remi
I just love the banner between both main characters……… so pretty much everyone knows that MC members usually have some type of good bond between them now when you look at the bond between Remi and her four roommates it was just amazing
I’m looking forward to the next installment in this series only downfall this particular series is the fact that I’m being forced to scouted out, Cuz the author somewhat left us with cliffhanger yeah you heard me right a cliffhanger on a bikers series …….. Now let’s see if it’s worth hunting it down

This is a sweet, yet suspenseful insta-love story about a biker who is immediately enraptured by a college student the moment he sets eyes on her. While he’s a part of an MC that delves into illegal businesses, the book isn’t particularly dark or trigger-y. It is suspenseful, however!
While I loved the writing style and the heroine, I didn’t quite connect with Steel as a romantic hero. That said, this book introduces a lot of new characters, and I’m low-key obsessed with Gunnar, and I can’t wait to read his book–which is the second instalment in the series!

Gray Eyes, Rough Fingers
Remi Makenzie and Logan "Steel" Steel send sparks flying in every direction. Of course, their problems also strike from every direction. I'm conflicted over Steel involving Remi in some shady business without her knowledge and consent. I get why, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
I love how Steel looks out for Remi, even if he's a bit stalkery. OK, he's a lot stalkery. 😆 As for Remi, I love how she's connected with her girls and how they look out for each other, including taking self-defense classes together. I will admit to being surprised by their reactions to Steel's pursuit of their friend, though.
When it hits the fan in spectacular fashion, everything I suspected and more comes out of the woodwork. I like how Remi is supported and backed up by those important in her life.
This book sets up the next as the storyline continues, so even though these are focused on individual couples, the series should be read in order.
I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Allyson Voller and Tyler Darby. I did like them. They lend strong voices to these strong characters, but their portrayals of the opposite sex really made me wish this was done in duet narration.

Enjoyable 3.5 stars read
I really liked the cast of characters and storyline! Thankfully, there was a good dose of story and the sexy times didn’t over power that. Also- I thank the heavens that the authors made a strong heroine out of Remi. She was no push over and I loved how she didn’t act as a doormat, nor let her body and brain be carried away by Steel. I liked the twists & turns of the story- even though I saw a couple of them coming. Still, the last one I wasn’t expecting. I also love Remi’s friends and can’t wait to see them fall for the other club members.
I would have rated this higher had I felt like something wasn’t slightly missing in the story. But truly, I liked it and will continue reading the series. I also loved how I could feel and empathize with Remi’s grief. Her grief is so relatable and reminds me so much of a friend who lost her mom not that long ago. There were so many parallels there. The other reason I didn’t go higher on my rating was because I felt like some of the wording choices could have been done better... like the editor could have helped cut it down. Sometimes sentences threw me off as the wording was done oddly, and I didn’t like the writing style at the start. It didn’t feel like it was written so great but !!! I quickly forgot all of that as the more I went into it the more I enjoyed the storyline.

I’m always on the lookout for a good MC series. The reviews for this were all good so I dived straight in.
And it was a good enjoyable read. The bikers were so sweet. Not just Steel but all the members of the Vikings. It seemed a weird mix at first. These are one percent bikers, they deal drugs, ship arms and kill. Yet they are sweet. It was almost like a YA romance at times.
The important thing is that it’s good enough for me to continue on…

When it comes to MC stories, whether that be romance or action/suspense I typically don’t read them. There is nothing wrong with MC stories it’s just not my thing I like.
However, the author approached me about reading the books and I read the blurb’s provided and thought, let’s give it a shot!
I am SOOOOOO glad I did because wow Steel is (insert your phrase here so I can keep it G rated here).
Remi is trying to pick up the pieces of her life after her father passes. She tries to continue on with life as it was before he passed by going to college and preparing to take over the family business. She tries to not get involved with anyone because she can’t afford any distractions. Her friend decides to invite her to a party where…..Steel is introduced.
Steel is all sorts of Alpha dominating biker but when he sees Remi for the first time he instantly wants her, now. When he finds out that she isn’t interested in being with anyone right now he decides he will make it to where she is always around him so she can’t say no to him again.
This is such an excellent book with the romance, the storyline and everything was very well put together. I thought I may not like this type of book but the author really made me feel something for these characters and really made me rethink MC books.
I can’t wait to continue on with book 2!!

Unbelievably high ratings for a questionable book
I am baffled by the high rating this book has. I read a massive amount of MC, mafia romances and understand it's not all rainbows and puppies... but this one was weird. From the first meeting between Bridget and Gunnar when he grabs her and won't let go and scares them to Remi essentially being stalked into dating Steel.
It's just red flags everywhere. Steel moves their illegal chop shop business shipping to her company with no real concern for her risk.
The MC has their girlfriends go to parties and use the campus to deal drugs but that's okay apparently because they're "clean drugs". In what MC universe would the men be okay with their women dealing? Apparently this one.
Steel treats Remi like he needs to control her. Which doesn't make either of them very likeable. It also doesn't add to the non-existant chemistry between them. It almost felt like a coerced relationship half the time.
Don't get me started on Bridget. She's supposed to come off as the loveable BFF but is just the worst. Keeps trying to make Remi wear stuff she isn't comfortable and mold her into how Bridget thinks she should look. Heck, the first time we meet her Remi is running late to a class that she can't be late for. Why are they running late? Bridget overslept. They get there in time and then Bridget is so self involved that she delays them with the weird Meet Not So Cute between them and their MC counterparts. I found very little redeeming for her.
They constant fighting and grappling between MC members was kind of weird too. It just felt odd.
Now here's my big beef with the whole thing. From the very beginning Steel explains that they recently took over the MC (and killed a lot along the way) and over half the original members left because if it. They took it over because the old President didn't "have what it takes" which according to Steel is killing people and harder crime. Now, to me this makes all of the current MC, who were supposed to be on the side of to be the villiansm Not even loveable villians. Just a-holes. There was no history given that would make them taking out the old leadership justifiable to the reader. The fact that half the members left because of the change says a lot to me about the current leadership. The way it reads, it sounds like the MC wasn't making as much money and wasn't as willing to commit violence as Steel, Cade, and Riggs were so they took over everything. So right off the bat... everyone is unlikable.
It's also marketed as a HEA or HFN interconnected standalone, from what I can tell. But it's just kind of over at around 300 pages (which is probably 50 more then it should have been). No real resolutions. The horrible mom doesn't get her comupance, Bridget and her dad are in danger... but at this point do we really even care?
In conclusion, the high rating for this book is suspicious to me and I will not be continuing the series.

This is my first book written by Cathleen Cole and Frank Jensen and it won’t be my last, they created an interesting and original story that is captivating from start to end. The character development and world building is fantastic, and I loved how they brought and then combined two different worlds together, Remi, a strait-laced college girl and Steel, a member of a one percenter motorcycle club, the Vikings MC. Remi is working hard to finish her college degree so she can take over her late father’s trucking business from her uncle who is filling while she finishes school. Rushing to classes with her friend Bridget, a friendly friend Bridget who stops to chat it up with some MC members and gets invited them invited to a party. With everything going on in her life, Remi had no intention of going, but Bridget talks her into going. Remi grabbed Steel’s attention the moment he laid eyes on her and claimed her as his, though she had not known it yet and he does not take no for an answer. Neither one was looking for love, but it found them anyway, and it was one heck of a ride watching their worlds collide. This action-packed cleverly plotted story has plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Thank you for this fantastic story and the wild ride. I am looking forward to what happens next.

Awesome debut novel!!
This is the first book I’ve read and all I can say is WOW! Totally blew me away and would have never guessed it was a debut novel. Great storyline with extremely well developed characters. The book is fast-paced and has tons of action. The heroine was awesome! Independent, self-sufficient, and a total go getter. No wilting heroine here. She has an awesome group of women that support her and there are relationships explored and discussed outside of just the heroine and hero. Great sexual tension throughout and while there were great smexy times, it’s not super gratuitous. I picked this book on a whim when the author followed my Insta account and I checked out her books on page. Best decision ever. Will definitely be one-clicking from here on out.

Well this is the first book I have read from Cathleen Cole and let me just say I am hooked. So lets meet Steel from the Vikings MC. So Remi is currently in college trying to finish her degree early. Why is that. Well she recently had a loss in her family that was devastating. She has some amazing friends that have helped her get through the hard times. However, she has one shady af Uncle. I mean why would your Uncle call you and harass you because you decided to go to a party. I was like really dude, show her some support. She is trying to get her business degree so that she can take over the family business even though she already knows how to run the business. Then you have her out of her life mom who is just not worth any time in the world. So while she is going to class one day she sees Steel. They make eye contact and there is definitely a spark. Steel seems to be entranced by her and after hanging out with her at a party he realizes that she is his. Although she may not know it yet but he will make sure she figures it out. The club is having some issues with another mc. Steel manages to jeopardize his relationship with Remi. All at the same time it is weird how some things happen when they are dating and by the end of the book a lot of things come to light. Steel is not going to let Remi go no matter if she says it is over. So what will happen in the end. Will there be a happily ever after. I can so that the story is intense with everything going on. The back and forth with these two was great and I cannot wait to see where this series goes.

6 stars hot romance with a twist of action
"Heart of Steel" Cathleen Cole & Frank Jensen have created a 6 stars hot romance with twist of action. Remi & Steel might not make sense on paper but when they give it a go it is like 4th of July on drugs. I really enjoyed getting to know both Remi & Steel. Remi is living together with her 4 best friends, they are there for each other when needed and if they had a secret password it would be "love & Loyalty" Steel is part of The Vikings MC, the club is his family, he knows what he wants and is not afraid to claim Remi. Looking forward to getting to know Riggs, Gunnar and Cade's stories and the women that makes them go all Alpha.
"Heart of Steel" Cathleen Cole & Frank Jensen have created a 6 stars hot romance with twist of action. Remi & Steel might not make sense on paper but when they give it a go it is like 4th of July on drugs. I really enjoyed getting to know both Remi & Steel. Remi is living together with her 4 best friends, they are there for each other when needed and if they had a secret password it would be "love & Loyalty" Steel is part of The Vikings MC, the club is his family, he knows what he wants and is not afraid to claim Remi. Looking forward to getting to know Riggs, Gunnar and Cade's stories and the women that makes them go all Alpha.

Exciting 1st book- Great way to kick off the series
I loved this book and can’t wait to read the others in this series. Lately all the books I’ve been reading have been boring and very predictable. I knew the storyline and where it was heading before I read it- This book- was NOT like that. I like the fact that it was very Unpredictable and had me on the edge of my seat. Again- I can’t wait to read the others and esp book 2 to see what happens with Gunnar and Bridget. Btw- I’ve been reading Amazon books for years and starting to get a little bored with them- until I read this! Awesome 1st book.

This by far is one of the best MC romances that I have ever read. It had everything! I'm talking about an angsty/actioned-packed plot, sexy and swoon-worthy anty hero bikers, and badass female characters who love hard and protect what's theirs. Tell me, who doesn't love a story that has an underlined plot that spans over an entire series, that to me is just a chef's kiss a nice topping if I do say so myself. Remi and Steel had that best relationship, it was spicy, protective and most of all angsty, I loved how they each brought the best out of one another. I honestly can't wait to see what happens in the next book and how the plot continues over. I recommend this book.

Remi and Steel are amazing characters, but I also really like Remi's best friend, Bridget. Together Remi and Bridget get into all sorts of trouble, but Remi meets Steel during one of the escapades that Bridget drags Remi on. So I guess Bridget was actually the catalyst for the relationship that happens between Remi and Steel. I absolutely adored the push and pull that happens between Remi and Steel.
I cannot wait to read the next book in the Viking MC series.

Cathleen Cole is a new author for me but I will definitely stalk her from now on. I don't know where to start because I had giving spoilers but if you like to read about strong woman and man recognizing and accepting that you have to read Heart of Steel. Remi and Steel are so great together but like always coming from different backgrounds they have to learn how the other is ticking. I needed sometime to get into the story, but once you're inside you're trapped and you can't break free. This book is an absolutely page turner and I can't wait for the next story

I kept seeing this book on my media feed and decided to read it. If a book does not interest me after 5 chapters I put it aside. This book made me keep reading I hated putting it down to go to work. Remi and Steel story boy meets girl,they fall in love, and of course with a 1% MC always danger.
Remi and her three friends are interesting in their own right.These four ladies are strong. I see this MC boys falling fast. When I came to the ending I cursed and start searching for the next one. EXCELLENT READ

This was boring to me until the last 40% of the book then it left on a cliffhanger but it wasn't enough for me to be invested in it I'll give the next book a couple of chapters a go but it wasn't a book that left me wanting to read it in one sitting so I was disappointed in it. Not a huge MC reader but I really liked this! Steel and Remi's story was fun and suspenseful. It did a great job of setting up the rest of the series as well. I loved their separate groups of friends and can't wait to read the rest of the series. The narrators were great and I found myself not wanting to put the audio down!

I've been needing quick and easy on the emotions reads so far this year, and this series checked those boxes off for me. Only the 2nd MC romance series I've jumped into, this first book has me excited for all the books to follow. The pace was good, the lovin was right, and the story has me definitely continuing.

This is a first book in a series. You get to know a bunch of the characters all of which I adore. This story is extremely well written. I am ready for more. This author was new to me and can’t wait to read more.

I have to say I really enjoyed this book. There is a little bit of everything from drama, comedy, romance, steamy scenes and mystery too! Love the characters of the Vikings MC and can't wait to read about each one! ( Well, I am hoping they will all get their own stories!)

This was the perfect biker book. Sassy rich girl meets hot 1%’er. What more could you want. Steel with nerves of steel. He doesn’t take crap and gets what he wants. Remi is heartbroken and needs a life toss. Steel givers her just that. This book had all you could want in an MC romance and so much more. I can’t wait to read Gunner and Bridget’s book.

This book isn't your typical MC romance; instead, it is a storyline riddled with twists and suspense as well as a steamy love story. The characters are unforgettable; the outlaw MC club and its members are sinfully hot. The trouble will have you gasping in shock and staying up late to get to the happily for now ending. Then the author surprises you with a cliffhanger and a continuation of the storyline in the next book. If you are looking for an action-packed book filled with bad boy bikers, this won't disappoint.
I love a good anti-hero and action-packed MC romance. I originally downloaded this as the blurb looked intriguing. This book claims to have the "hottest bikers since Jax Teller. " We will see if it holds true to that claim. This book does have a warning for violence and illicit descriptive scenes.
Remi is a college student who has taken over her father's trucking business. She is feisty and carefree. She and her friend Bridget, miss popularity, seem to look for trouble before class. A group of bikers catches their attention, and those descriptions are so smoking hot.
Steel is the Sergeant at Arms of the Viking MC. When he gets captured by Remi's looks, he and his brothers are dropping off some old lady's on campus. I find it humorous how this strong-tatted man becomes eye candy. He seems intrigued but has other places to be. We find out a bit about club business from his point of view.
Steel has a cat and mouse game going on with Remi. We get to watch as her walls crumble under his attention. This book gets steamy and twisted, leaving you gasping in shock. Wow, this book ends on a cliffhanger.

A great MC book that has the perfect balance of spice and plot
This is my first book by either of these authors and I was not disappointed. Remi is the FMC, she’s a tall, strong, college girl who has a band of the best girlfriends that she grew up with. They all happen to be attending the same college as well as living in an off-campus house together. Remi is still dealing with the fresh loss of her father’s passing, trying to finish her college degree early, and juggling her father’s trucking business that was left to her.
She reluctantly agrees to attend an MC party that one of her bff’s/housemate drags her to where her entire life gets shaken up by our MMC Steel. Steel, although at times wasn’t my favorite particular character (he had some traits that just didn’t particularly vibe with me) I enjoyed that Remi made him work for her trust and attention. Remi has queen energy and I was here for it.
All the ladies in this book were so fantastic, bold, and would walk through fire for one another! I absolutely loved the bonds they all had. I liked some of the club members, such as Rat (I cannot wait to read his book!). There are many wrenches thrown into this plot that made me eager to keep reading to find out what would happen next! The spice is very good, the plot does leak into the second installment in this series, so keep in mind that although many things do get a resolution, there are certain areas in the storyline that are left to be resolved.

This book was so good it has lots of action and the storyline is really good. Steel is the Sgt. At Arms for The Vikings MC...Remi is a 21 year old college student reeling from the death of her father while trying to finish college early and take over her father's trucking business. Steel seems Remi while he is with a few of his MC brothers dropping off their old ladies at the college...he is instantly insanely attracted to her and although she is attracted to him she is also scared crapless by him and the MC. Her bff Bridget talks her into going to a MC party and her and Steel end up alone for awhile and talk,..he decides then and there that he is going to make her his. He comes up with a plan to just pop up at places where she is and she can't figure out how he knows where she is going. She finally ends up going out with him and they end up together. There is other MC drama...lots of family drama...that makes this a great story. Will their differences tear them apart or bring them together. I can't wait to read about Bridget and Gunner. I also have a feeling that a few more of Remi's friends are going to end up with MC members. Great start to what seems to be is going to be a great series.
