Sometimes coming face to face with the truth…
Can be murder.
Spring is springing in the Ozarks and Eugenia Barkley is relieved to see the sun shining and flowers blooming. Life isn’t all sunshine and roses, however, when her friend Trixie’s sister goes missing.

Eu hears a scream, and when she discovers blood in the woods, she believes she may have stumbled into something sinister.

The tourists are starting to return to the resort, giving her a seemingly endless supply of suspects, and she’s distracted from her investigation as more and more clues turn up about her late estranged mother.

Eugenia Barkley came to the Ozarks to learn about the mother that she never knew, and has solved a few murders along the way. Will she survive long enough to solve the latest crime and discover things about her mother and herself that she never knew?

Find out in this last exciting book of the Fish Camp Cozy Mystery series!

I love this book and this series, but the ending seemed a bit abrupt. I love the ending, but the story is so short that it doesn't get the build up that it deserves. One minute there's a mystery so solve and the next... Well, I'm not going to ruin it for you. You're going to have to read and enjoy it on your own.

I want more!

My hope is that Summer is writing book 5 and maybe 6 and several more after this new beginning for Eugenia, Michael, and even Callie!

I'm happy about a few things in this too short book and those things are:
Eu met a new relative named Julie.
Eu's aunt isn't such a cow after all.
Eu discovered some new information about her mom.
Michael visited Eu again and they are going to begin a new type of relationship.
The awful crime in this was solved by Eu and Michael - not Frick and Frack.
Eu has the means to have a new beginning.

Spoiler: there was no murder this time and in happy about that. I like when cozy mysteries have a puzzle to solve rather than a murder.

Can't wait to see what Summer has in store for us next!

Next on my "To Read" list is from Sheldon Siegel's Mike Daley/ Rosie Fernandez series - "Never Plead Guilty," book 17.

Enjoyable And Entertaining!

This 4th entry to the series was everything and more. Answers to some of the questions Eugenia had about her mom, revelations regarding a standoffish neighbor and romance heating up with a certain someone. I'm uncertain if there will be more books in this series, the author's newsletter hints of a new series coming soon without indication of another of the fish camp stories. That being said I totally enjoyed these four books and also any others written by Ms. Prescott. A minor quibble I would have loved to know what happened to the rescued captive and how she came to be in that situation, but all in all an enjoyable read.

Eu got some amazing spring surprises after she weathered an Ozarks winter. And the surprises and good things just kept coming for her. I knew this was the last book and was so pleased with how the author wrapped everything up. Anything that’d been left hanging regarding Eu’s mother was all explained in a super happy ending. I’ve enjoyed these key characters a lot and would sure love to see them in another series. Talk about a great book hangover!

A friend’s sister goes missing as Eugenia hears a scream in the woods. It does not look good as t appears to be foul play. Spring has sprung and tourists are starting to come which does not help the investigation. Also there more clues about her estrange mother.

Omg what a great truth, Love it is!

This was such a lovely heartfelt story! And the growth of the relationships past and present were delightful to see unfold. Heartfelt and heartwarming in many ways. Love it.

Oh goodness this was so incredibly good. I loved every bit of it. So glad to see Callie coming out of her shell…and the surprise twist that lead to more family answers was amazing.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by the publisher.

What a great fourth book! There is a kidnapping and rescue, one of Eugenia's Ozark friends has her sister disappear, Eugenia meets a surly hermit, She is invited to another to another swank party, and she finally finds out a lot more about her mother. Read the book. You won't regret it.
