Now I’m stuck tutoring her, a punishment for my latest prank.
At first, I can’t stand her.
But then… I don’t just like her—I need her.
There’s only one problem. She’s set on becoming a nun.

Each book in this series will focus on one of the Romano siblings and their love interest. However, all books in this series have an entwined subplot that will only be resolved in the final book. Recommended 18+ due to mature language and situations.

Vicious Games by Ivy Fox
4/5⭐
2,5/5🌶️

This book was one of the lighter mafia romances I've encountered, and I enjoyed it! While there are some moments of violence, the main character, Luciano (Lucky), isn’t comfortable with it. The story primarily revolves around the forbidden love between Lucky and Frankie. Lucky is the son of a powerful mafia leader, and he and his twins are on the verge of becoming made men. He’s known for his prankster ways, which lands him in trouble – his punishment? Tutoring Frankie, an orphan girl who isn’t intimidated by him. Initially, they can’t stand each other, but as they spend more time together, their feelings blossom.

Lucky is a bit cocky and arrogant, but it’s easy to see why. He comes from a wealthy family with lots of influence, so he feels invincible. Unlike his siblings, he and his twins prefer using their brains over violence. He barely notices Frankie until she punches him in the face! From then on, he can't stop thinking about her and enjoys teasing her. Frankie is an orphan raised in a church by a nun. She wants to dedicate her life to becoming a nun in gratitude for the care she received. However, after she spends time with Lucky, she begins to question if that’s truly the life she wants.

I loved the banter between Lucky and Frankie! Frankie isn’t fazed by Lucky’s family’s power or wealth, which makes their dynamic so much fun. As the story progresses, their attraction deepens, and Lucky is determined to show Frankie there’s so much more to life outside the orphanage. He encourages her to dream big and pursue her passions. There were some sweet moments Lucky created for Frankie that made me swoon!

The way their relationship develops feels very natural, with just the right amount of spice without being overwhelming. The forbidden and angsty elements are beautifully woven into the story, and I loved how the truth about Frankie’s family unfolds gradually. There are also other intriguing characters that hopefully will get their own book in the future.

From the ending of the first book, I thought we were getting a different book for vicious games, but I am not disappointed. I absolutely devoured this book. It’s a hate to love, mafia, tutoring situation. And their whole thing is that he doesn’t really notice her until she punches him in the face and I just love that. Frankie doesn’t take anything from anyone. She is a baddie and will give it right back. I love the banter. I loved the chemistry between her and Lucky. I really couldn’t get enough. The he falls first trope is always going to be one of my favorite things especially if he falls hard. I could definitely see myself rereading this book in the future to decompress as a pick me up. I can’t wait for the next book. If it’s either the one she keeps sending out or the other one that I think she’s going to do it’s going to be amazing.

This was another good one in this series. Lucky is so much more than meets the eye and I adore him and Frankie together. There are some achingly sweet moments, great spice, family vibes and a good dose of Mafia action and suspense. Eager for more in this series.

Ok, I see what you did there!!!! Making us think it was going to be about one thing to change it up on us!!!
I see you and I loved it!!! All of it!!!

Luciano’s (Lucky) and Frances’ (Frankie) story is so darn adorable!!!! From when he first notices her to the last page!!!!

Lucky is a class clown and smart as a whip! Always pulling pranks with his Twin Enzo. Until it gets him literally hit in the face by an aspiring nun!! I kid you not!! Best thing I have read!
He may not have noticed Frankie before boy she is all he can see now!

Frankie is a no holds barred, curvy, orphaned smart 🫏. Oh and hates calculus with her whole being. (Feel ya girl) when she gets paired with Lucky as her tutor after hitting him she thinks it’s worse than the actual class. Until it’s not! She isn’t blind to his good looks but his charm doesn’t work on her but he is a determined young man!!!!

This book had a lot to live up to and it took the challenge head on. Ivy can write a book that makes you think “are they really going to just walk away” and then be like “ya that’s what I thought” all in one chapter!!! You think you will hate a character to only live the h*ll out of them by the end of the book.

This is book 2 in The Next Vicious Generation.
This serious is sooo good!!! You NEED to read it

Frankie O’Malley is an orphan and lives in an orphanage run by nuns, which enables her to attend the Sacred Heart Academy. Lucky (Luciano) and his twin brother are in trouble again for their antics, and their mother has been summoned to their meeting with Sister Margaretta. Lucky hasn't done the community service hours needed to graduate, so he's being punished by having to tutor other students. Lucky is annoyed one day when Frankie, who gets called to the front of the calculus class to solve the problem on the board. Frankie is struggling as calculus is not her forte. Lucky comes up and solves it for her, which angers her and fires her up, causing her to punch Lucky in the nose. Their "punishment" for this is for Lucky to tutor her in calculus since she needs to pass this class to graduate. Lucky and Frankie find themselves falling into a comfortable friendship despite their fiery start. Ivy keeps you turning the pages with all the twists and turns you don't see coming.
I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for NN Book Blog. If you love a slightly dark mafia romance with lots of twists and turns you don't see coming, then you won't be disappointed with this read. This book may not be for everyone; therefore, heed the author's warnings before reading or purchasing. Although this is Book Two in the The Next Vicious Generation series, it's possible to read as a standalone. It does end in a slight cliffhanger to lead into the next book on Annamarie's story, and I can't wait to see how this pans out in this protective mafia family.

4.5 stars! Lucky and Frankie stole my heart!

Ivy Fox wrote another fantastic book in this series. It was hilarious, swoony and angsty
with many wonderful and loveable characters.
I honestly didn't expect much from Lucky considering he was a bit of an annoying jokester in the previous book but Lucky Romano stole a piece of my heart! He was the perfect book boyfriend! He was adorably sweet and thoughtful. He treated Frankie like a queen, with a lot of care and respect, he appreciated all of her and protected her always. It was cute to see him fall hard for this girl who was at first his enemy.
Pairing Lucky with the fierce and bada$$, Frankie was chef's kiss. Lucky showed Frankie how to enjoy life and allowed her to experience true love and acceptance from him and his family., while Frankie brought out the softer side in him.
The sassy banter between these two was hilarious and Frankie's strength and ability to stand up for herself was a perfect way to humble Lucky. She definitely brought him to his knees many times.
Their relationship progressed nicely throughout the book, and it was enjoyable to see their love and friendship blossom.
I absolutely loved all the side characters, especially Stella and Kirill Petrov. All the characters were wonderful.
This was such an enjoyable book of first loves, friendships, and found family. Ivy Fox has again weaved a story that was captivating and engaging and I can't wait for the next book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the story of Lucky and Frankie. Get ready to fall in love with these two and devour this book. Frankie hasn't had a great life. She was an orphan who ended up living in an orphanage run by nuns. This in turn gives her the opportunity to attend Sacred Heart Academy. Lucky and his brother stay in trouble it seems like and now things are getting serious since he has never done the time he needed to to graduate. Since he didn't get it done he is now having to tutor other students. Frankie just so happens to be struggling with calculus class and he saves the day when in front of everyone she is not able to answer the problem on the board. However she is not happy and very embarrassed so she punches him in the face right then and there. Now their punishment is that Lucky is to be her tutor so she can pass this class. What neither of them expected was the comfort they feel when they are with each other and quickly form a friendship that has the potential to turn into so much more. I have to stop there because there are other things going on in this book that keep you turning the pages as fast as I can. I really loved reading this book and can't wait for the next one in this series..

Vicious Games is the second book in The Next Vicious Generation series. It is a contemporary, m/f, high school, enemies to lovers, mafia romance with a virgin FMC, a found family, intrigue, mystery, banter, surprises, and more.

Frankie was raised in the church orphanage after she was abandoned on their doorstep as a baby. She believes becoming a nun will provide her stability in life. Although her new tutor, Lucky, thinks that she should have some life experiences before making such a decision, and he is more than happy to help her out.

Frankie and Lucky are explosive together. I loved the initial tension and then their gradual path towards love. I loved the surprises and plot twists, which were very enjoyable. I loved the inclusion of Lucky's family in the story, and how important they are to him, and ultimately to Frankie too. I also loved how we get glimpses of Lucky's twin, Enzo's life and what he is up to, as well as what may be going on in his other siblings lives.

This was such an awesome read and damn near impossible to put down. It's a definite page turner. The plot, pace, and flow of the story are excellent, as are the writing, characters, storyline, storytelling, character development, relationship development, and world building. I absolutely loved this book. The epilogue had me reeling and excited for more. I cannot wait for the next book, that's a fact.

“Vicious Games” is the second book in the next vicious generation series. Ivy Fox has delivered another fantastic addition to the series.

Frankie O’Malley lives in an orphanage run by nuns she also attends Sacred Heart Academy but is struggling with one of her classes. Lucky is assigned to help Frankie with her calculus classes in order to graduate. Lucky and Frankie didn’t get off to the best start. What neither Frankie or Lucky anticipated was despite their fiery start in class could turn into something more.

I devoured this incredible story and I could not stop turning those pages. Ivy Fox will definitely keep you on your toes and delivers the right amount of angst. Frankie and Lucky’s connection was undeniable and I loved them as a couple. If you’re a fan of Mafia romances then I highly recommend you pick up your copy pronto. This is a fantastic story that you won’t want to miss. I am throughly looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

vIvy Fox can write any genre of book, and I will always grab it and read as fast as I can.
She's amazing, and each book shows just how much.
And if she writes Mafia, my favorite genre of all time, I'm in the front row.
Twisted, I know. Do I care?? NOT.
Vicious Games is her latest release, and it's the second book from The Next Vicious Generation series.
Have you read the first book? Do it. You'll thank me later.
This book explores the lives of Luciano (Lucky) and Frankie.
Luciano is as cocky as he can be, but what would you expect from a man born into money and power???
But he's not just a pretty face, because he actually uses his brains... lol
What do you call a girl who knows what she wants and fights for it?
Frankie, that's who. She knows what she wants and when she punches Luciano in the face...
OMG, this book was so funny and dark as well.
It was a lighter book, that's for sure, but not without some violence and darkness.
Their banter was hilarious, and I saw myself laughing so hard my stomach hurt. lol
They are perfection in a funny way, and it´s amazing to witness Lucky getting luck...
Man, did I loved this book
Awesome Ivy. Can't wait for more.

This book was pure gold! Absolutely amazing! I couldn’t put it down!

After reading Vicious Addictions, I was seriously expecting to get a completely different book than this one. Honestly, any of the other siblings. But to my purest delight we got Luciano’s book! And gosh darn it I absolutely LOVED it!

The beginning of this book had me smiling and laughing so much! I loved the banter between Frankie and Lucky! Actually, I just really loved everything about this book - Frankie’s character, the “meet-cute” between her and Lucky, and the entire build-up of their relationship! Lucky and Frankie were two totally different people from completely opposite worlds, but they were both just so perfect for each other! Gahhh! I really wish I could read this again for the first time! There’s nothing I didn’t love about this book!

I’m completely hooked on this series already and can’t wait to read Vicious Behaviors next! I don’t even have a preference for whose story I want next because I’m equally excited for them all!

I loved the first book in this series...they can be read as standalones but I think you'll get more from this book if you read the first book.

Urgh Lucky Romano where do I start with him.....he's just super lush after reading him in the first book he does kinda get on your nerves but now he's got his own story boy I tell ya I fell in love hard with him. Also FMC Frankie was just something else too, she was feisty and sassy plus she has amazing strength and courage to stand up for herself and to me she was the perfect person for Lucky. The banter between these two 😂😍 it has the right amount of story and spice 🫚 I also love that when they first meet she hits him in the face 😂 also they way these two meet.... Frankie is an inspiring nun.....yep you read that right..... honestly just read this book please it's super easy to read as was the first book, it just hit me right in the feels such a wonderful story and I can't wait for more from this series.

I adored Frankie and Lucky, and I totally didn’t see the twists and turns this story took us on ahead of time. Frankie is planning to promise her life to God, but she has some doubts, which Lucky isn’t afraid to capitalize on. These two are like magnets together—pushing and pulling and drawing back together, depending on which way you turn them. Frankie blames Lucky for being ‘bullied’ and isn’t afraid to strike first, which ends up with them forced together—a situation which only makes an attraction and mutual respect blossom between them. Despite their differences, they each see how important family is to the other, and while Lucky may be temptation, he’s also encouraging Frankie to pursue her interests and passions. Their relationship grew at a beautiful, steady pace, while the overall mystery was revealed… I was hooked completely, and the side characters introduced in this one intrigued me, leaving me hoping we see at least one paired with a Romano sibling in the future.

Viscous Games eARC review

Ok so it took me a minute to get to this book BUTTTT idk how I didn’t get to it sooner!! I was immediately hooked a couple chapters in, mind you I went ahead and read the first book too so everything made sense (which I’d recommend more so for background knowledge than characters)
This series truly gets better with each book, which sometimes isn’t the case when it comes to a series. After reading about the YEARNING Jude had in book 1, I had no idea what I’d get into with Lucky… he confirmed why I love mafia men cuz wdym ur heart is in her hands, that you love her with your entire life, and you ACHE for her. IM SAT
He was obsessed and I simply couldn’t put this book down. I need book 3 IMMEDIATELY
I did like Frankie’s character, sometimes you get scared how the “came from nothing” FMC is depicted but Ivy did well. I loved the layers Frankie had how she came out of her shell and begun exploring who she is outside the safe constructs she boxed herself in

OMG Guys !!! I truly am equal parts in love and obsessed with this absolutely amazing series . Hate to love and Dark Mafia , Tutoring scenario. All the sexual tension between Frankie and Lucky . The way their characters literally grab onto you and just suck you right in , leaving you reeling with so many different emotions you’ll never see coming . What a Bad@ss Frankie is , the way she gives as good as she gets . And Lucky . There really is so much more to his character then meets the eye . I honestly cannnot remember the last time I devoured a romance as quickly as I did this one . It really was everything just absolutely everything

Whaat a viciously great story about two people who either had everything but wasn't enough or didn't have anything and longed to be somebody or at least be loved.

Frankie was brought up by an orphanage and her way of repaying the nun is by devoting herself to god as a nun after she graduates from H.S., although when Lucky Luciano Romano comes into her life -- everything just gets all convoluted and confused for them both. Lucky's punishment for all his pranks around the school, along with his brother Enzo is to tutor Frankie. He's not happy about it, but has no choice.

The banter between them had me rolling. When they first started the tutoring, the texts between them was just hilarious and I loved it!

Although it wasn't just about that, there was more to the story that would tug your heart too.

First book I read in the series and I already love these people!!

Wow! Vicious Games was absolutely everything I hoped it would be. The second book in The Next Vicious Generation series, Vicious Games is Lucky and Frances’ story.

This book had me on the edge of my seat! The last 20 percent?! Are you kidding me? Wow!!!! I loved their meet cute. Well, is it a meet cute if it starts with a punch to the face? I’m saying yes it is. Lucky and Enzo pulling their pranks, Frances’ set to be a nun and a family mystery. There is a lot going on this read but it oh so good. Then that bonus epilogue?! Ivy, I want to read the whole series right away! Once again your gift with words blows me away.

Thank you to Ivy Fox for the ARC of this book.

I need a Lucky

Do you ever get that, when you're watching a show or for the bookworms among us reading a good book that when you have to stop because life (rude) interrupts or sleep (who needs that though) you dream or think about it?

Well this book brings that forth, I had to stop reading because my eyes didn't process the words on the page anymore but I dreamt about this book, I woke up 1,5 hours earlier than my normal alarm just so I could read.

This book, chefs kiss, top notch, and it keeps you on your toes, you may think a lovely romantic funny and spicy lovestory, but you would be wrong. This wouldn't be an ivy Fox book without angst! And you get that and it will keep you on your on the edge of your seat. And that cliffhanger lord, I need the next book like yesterday!

My top 3 book in 2025 !

The communication skills and mutual respect these characters have for each other is rather impressive considering they're still in high school. Lucky and Frankie have such great chemistry from the first sparks in their dislike/rivalry to very tender moments as they realize they’ve caught feelings. Both characters believe they’re meant to continue on a rigid pre-determined path toward the future they think is their destiny. But their growing relationship to each other doesn’t seem to fit into that vision. Both go through self discovery coupled with the confusing complications of first love and find their HEA after a twisty, angsty journey of coming into adulthood. As a tender-hearted young love story, as a funny & surprising coming of age story, this works on multiple levels for a contented reading experience.

It's hard not to spoil this one because so much of the meat of the story happens past the set-up of the premise. But for the mood readers:

-MF, high school, new adult
-mafia prince x orphan girl
-enemies to lovers
-spicy lessons
-she's going to become a nun, virgin fmc
-he's going to take the Mafia oath
-lessons-only relationship with an expiration date
-meddling Mafia family antics
-secrets
-external forces complications
-he falls so hard
-romantic declarations
-is love enough?
-young first love to forever love

This is the second book in this second-generation series, and this is Frankie and Lucky’s story.
Frankie has not had an easy life, an orphan brought up by nuns, and access to the Sacred heart Academy, where she is the only person who does not fear Lucky, and his surname. A prank has Lucky being forced to tutor Frankie, and the sparks fly.
This is a well written slow burn, action packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, suspense, intrigue, forced proximity, loyalty, drama, angst, enemies / lovers, revenge, lies, forbidden romance, humor, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, mafia romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

There is so many things to love about this story. As always Ivy writes these stories with characters that are memorable and make you fall in love with them.

Lucky Romano, I was expecting going in something completely different from him. I fell hard and fast for him. He is the perfect book boyfriend that is sweet and takes care of his lady.

Frankie, girl crush activated, is such a great female lead. She is fierce and loyal. These two together were a perfect fit.

The banter between these two, I just could not stop smiling. The push and pull between these two were life.

This was such a great book, full of a captivating and engaging couple and their journey for love and peace.

Wow! Thou shall not judge indeed. Lucky felt like an immature, unhinged “boy” in the first book, but here he transforms into a man who knows how to treat Frankie right.

While they start off on a bad note, it doesn’t take long for them to see each other in a different light. As the “experiment” goes on, their chemistry only gets better and better.

I loved how bada$$ Frankie was, and how brave she was to fight for those being bullied. Her scenes with the Romano family was a delight and though she felt like a fish out of water, there was never any doubt in my mind that she would fit right in.

While every chapter was amazing, I truly loved the last act and the perfect ending for our couple.

This was a very intriguing and suspenseful mafia story. I loved the characters and it was so well-written.

Luciano (Lucky) and his brother go to a Catholic school. They are in trouble once again for all their antics. It is decided that Lucky needs to tutor a student as his punishment. Frankie is an orphan who lives in the orphanage. She also attends Lucky's school. They have such great banter. He is angry with her and they have a disagreement. They are both punished and he is forced to tutor her. After spending time together they develop a friendship.

If you love a great story with twists and turns you can't miss this one.

Thank you to the author for an advanced copy for an honest review.

Vicious Games is the second book in The Next Vicious Generation series by Ivy Fox. It's a mafia romance, and it was amazing! This is Luciano (Lucky) and Frances' (Frankie's) story. I knew I'd love Lucky's story, because he was such a holy terror in the first book, but now he's a few years older, and he's more mature (a little!), so it was really nice to see the softer side of him. Frankie was a major bada$$, who didn't take any guff from anyone, and I loved that. Her first introduction to Lucky was her punching him in the face, so there's that, lol. The whole story was fantastic, and I would highly recommend both books in the series with way more than five stars!

Omg omg these books keep getting better each and every time. I couldn’t put this book down I loved Lucky in vicious addictions but he out shined himself in this book. Lucky and Frankie have been made to work together if they both want to graduate; they are complete opposites but they find do find some common ground – dislike, banter, friendship, love. The plot line has so many twists and turns that keep you guessing right up to the very end. With Lucky's help Frankie finally finds out who she really is. I loved every minute of this book and I wish I could have more as I didn’t want it to end. I hope we see more of this family.

I enjoyed this book and loved how simple yet complicated it was.
Lucky and Frankie are made for each other. They are each other's opposite, but their connection and care for each other win!!

Lucky is from the Outfit, and Frankie is an orphan, wanting to be a nun. Both of them are from two completely different worlds and have to make important decisions.

I love that Frankie is stronger than people assumed; she is not scared to fight for herself and the others.

I love the side characters in this book! All of them complemented the story and guided the main leads to be better.
I cannot wait for the next book!

I just assumed this book would be the continuation of the first books epilogue but I was thrown for a twist from the beginning. Instead we get to know more about one of the twins, Luciano.

Luciano, or Lucky, and his downfall of falling for Francis, aka Frankie. He slowly worked his way into her life to convince her not to become a nun and ended up falling hard for her.

The book has twist and turns the entire time and left me wondering about other siblings (Stella and Enzo mainly) with what's going on with them

Also the bonus epilogue finding a little more out about the mystery. I will be reading this series out because I want to know what's going on.

MMC Lucky and FMC Frankie went to school together. Lucky was the class clown and Frankie is a smartass. She hates math (I feel seen) and Lucky is assigned as her tutor. She thinks working with him will be worse than the actual class. Lucky is determined and can’t get Frankie out of his mind. Frankie is a challenge because Lucky’s charm doesn’t work on her. This was an enjoyable read.
