April prefers to keep to herself. She stays hidden behind large hoodies and doesn’t talk unless she has to. She also doesn’t sleep. Her need for energy drinks is the reason she meets Dante. He’s a jock who is full of himself and expects every girl to swoon over his crooked smile.
April makes the mistake of speaking to him, which she quickly regrets.
Dante is drawn to the tiny recluse with a caffeine addiction. Especially when he finds out that she doesn’t talk to just anyone. But she speaks to him every time she sees him. Curiosity gets the better of him, and soon he finds himself drawn to her.
He should let it go, but he can’t help but be drawn to her.
Will Dante be the one to break through her shell? Or will April never let anyone in again?
Emily is the author of several young adult, new adult, mystery and romance novels. She lives in a small town in Ohio similar to the towns in her stories. Her favorite place to read is in her pool.
This book was book 3 in The Falling Series. All can be read as standalones but each is about a couple in the friend group. This book touched on SA so check the triggers. It was a FANTASTIC representation of what one might go through trying to regain their life in a college setting. The MMC was such a good guy. Absolutely loved it. Emily Camp is an auto buy author.
Hands down my favorite book within The Falling Series! Fantastic job, Emily!
You get so much depth within this book, different vibe from the first two books in the series. You get a cameo from Autumn & Kolson. You also see Mackenzie & Corbyn throughout the book. Which I love this because it’s a legit friend circle and gives it that even more real feeling.
April is struggling to get over a night that changed everything for her, leaving the town and who she thought were friends behind and starting over. But honestly, she isn’t over it just cause she’s away from the people and the town. She’s reminded of what happened every time she closes her eyes, so it’s easier to not let anyone in, not have any friends and to push anyone away who might want to be there for her…. Until, she meets Dante. She can’t figure out what’s different about him, why she entertains him. Especially, cause Dante has an image on campus! Dante shocks himself as time goes on.
April and Dante are met with some hardships through dealing with Aprils past…. But, also just when things seem to be going good bam, Dante’s past comes peering around the corner to mess it up! Will they overcome the obstacles?
The characters in this book are so relatable. We get to watch a girl who struggles with the details of her past grow and find herself once again. Emily Camp did it again! I am so happy to be a part of her ARC team!
Emily did it again! I just love her writing and in this book, we get to follow April who has debilitating anxiety and depression, and the way she writes it in this story was amazing! I love the characters and the MMC Dante was the sweetest in the way he handled her and was so patient with her. From the moment he met April, he knew there was a connection and he wldnt give up on that. He helped her in so many ways. April pretty much kept to herself and didn’t have any friends, she didn’t talk to anyone, until she met Dante. Then she started opening up more, and going out some and meeting new people. She went through a very traumatic experience, which caused all this depression and anxiety, and she thought she was broken forever. This is the 3rd book in her falling series and it was so so good!
If you want a book that you can’t put down, then you need to read Falling for April! April’s story is heartbreaking and she has a lot to work through. She catches Dante’s eye and he is the absolute perfect guy to help her work through her past.
I’ve been in a reading slump lately and this was the perfect book to get me out of it!!
yet another amazing book in the Falling series. I could not stop reading this book, I love how he was her person who helped her. It is a wonderful story about a girl who finds someone she wants to be with but needs to work through her issues from her past first. Can not wait for the next in the series
I swear Emily has this insane ability to write books that feel my heart with so much happiness. Falling for April has probably the most trauma out of all the Falling series. The FMC has been emotionally scared by her past, leaving her terrified of the world around her. That is until she meets Dante, who somehow makes her feel safe for the first time in over a year. He also makes her feel a lot more than that. I couldn't put this book down and am frankly upset that it ended. I wanted more.
Wow!! This book is so so amazing! 3rd book in Falling series. All standalone but connected via friends. April comes to college very reserved and keeps to herself. An incident in high school has scarred her. Dante notices her and can’t get her off his mind. This is their story!! Once I started I didn’t want to put down!!! Great read!
I am normally not a sports romance reader but this series has been so fun and enjoyable! I absolutely loved April and her story! This is by far my favorite of the series so far!
I just love the character development for April and Dante! Loved this story. I honestly was so nervous at one point but so happy it did not go the way I thought .
Such a perfect beautifully written representation of the trauma pain and struggle one has to go through. Thank you Emily. Just thank you for this book.
I have absolutely loved reading Falling For April! The love story between the two main characters is absolutely beautiful. The patience, the spark, the trust, the confidence, the feeling of safeness it’s all amazing!
Miss Emily every one of your books I have read are absolutely incredible! Please finite up all the incredible work!!
