One night in New York was all it took to shake up their lives. For him, it was unforgettable. For her? It was the memory she could never recover.
If there’s one thing the people closest to me can be sure about, it’s that I thrive on structure. So when a millionaire sales agent from New York shows up in my life, seemingly determined to give me hell at every turn, I’m forced out of my comfortable normalcy and into a world full of eye rolls and icy glares. Not realizing that he might just be the very change I needed in my life.
Every part of my life has been planned for me, long before I was born, and while most people would think inheriting a billion dollar real estate empire is every person’s dream, it’s never been mine. Like everything else, it was never my choice. But the troublemaker that stumbles into my life with light eyes and looks that could kill? She’s my choice. And I’ll be damned if someone tries to take that away.
Wow. What a way to end the series! I have really enjoyed this series and I think that Waiting for Acceptance was the perfect end! Getting to know all the characters and getting their HEA was everything!
We meet Fitz and Lauren as they have a ONS at the real estate event. Only Fitz is the only one who remembers.. but not without having a little fun first. Turns out Fitz is Lauren's new co worker/boss and she has no idea they already know each other.
Their relationship starts out a little rocky but as they pursue a fake relationship walls come down. Turns out that the two of them are more similar than they thought. They both have been waiting to be accepted by their loved ones. But realize they have their own family and decide who they need in their lives.
Sarah does an excellent job with her books adding in the perfect amount of sweet, spice, and emotion. I always go through all the emotions while reading her books and it makes it so easy to fall in love with the characters! I didn't want to put this one down and now that the series is over, I can't wait to see what is next!

So bittersweet! I just finished the last book in The Nashville Nights's series. So sad that my favorite crew's stories are done being told, but wow, what a way to end it! I dont know how I can pick a favorite, but Lauren and Fitz have crept their way up on the list. Sarah does such a good job sucking you right into the story, making you feel like you're one of the crew! She also did an amazing job weaving the whole series together so you keep getting to see all your favorite characters. If you haven't read all 5 books in the series, I HIGHLY recommend doing that. You won't regret it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "We'll always have our Nashville Nights"
Fitz, the man that you are! 😩 He is just so damn attractive. He doesn’t top Tucker, but he’s pretty darn close, especially with those MANNERS. 🥵
And Lauren, I loved her. I feel like I didn’t know her super well going into this book, even after having her as a side character in the first four books of the series. But she’s right behind Taylor in my favorite’s of the group. Her sass, her personality, and her work ethic? She’s a girls girl! 💕
I’m so sad this series is over. 😭 I was so hoping we’d get like a 5 year epilogue or something crazy like that. 😅 But Nashville Nights will always have a special place in my heart. 🫶🏻 This series is something!! 💖
As Waiting for Acceptance concludes the Nashville series, it was the perfect of ending for it.
Lauren is the last one of her group to not have a husband or even a boyfriend. As much as she says she’s ok, she does feel lonely sometimes.
She works at a real estate agency and she’s one of the top agent. One day, there’s a new guy, Fitz, and he’s there to watch how they do business and works with Lauren. She does not like him what so ever. But he does challenge her. That doesn’t stop her from constantly roll her eyes at him especially when he tells her what to do. Fitz however, is obsessed with her!
As they work together, they get to learn more about each other and their dynamic is just so cute! And of course, Fitz is there to take her side whenever she needs it (even if she’s sassy with him).
A true enemies to lovers, the story will creep up your heart. It’s emotional, sweet, funny, sassy and of course a tad of spicy!
I’m sad to say goodbye to this series as it was so much fun!
I absolutely recommend this book if you’ve read the rest of the series.
💛 One night stand 💛 Hate to love 💛 Fake dating 💛 Office romance 💛 Found family 💛 Man obsessed
Knowing this book had fake dating, I admit, I was anxiously waiting for it to finally happen while reading the book. But when it finally did, I realized I actually loved the length of time it took to get there. I loved that we didn’t dive head first into the trope and got to know the characters first. That we got to see their enemies to lovers, full on banter type of relationship and watch it grow. Fitz and Lauren are an absolute power couple. And I can wholeheartedly say, if we didn’t have the build up we got, I wouldn’t love them as much as I do!!!
This is the last book in the series, and while I regret not reading the first 4 books before Waiting for Acceptance, the book was so incredible that I can just shove that regret right aside! Haha ESPECIALLY because I’ve already downloaded the rest of the series to my kindle and will be binge reading them all! And then will honestly reread Waiting for Acceptance again just for funsies! …and to feel the sadness of it ending all over again! 😭😂
The fact that Sarah was able to make me care so much about all the characters in this book, and had me crying at the end because of the series coming to a close with out me having read the whole series?? That’s incredible writing right there!!
Normally when I write reviews, I pinpoint things from each character I loved! But, I’m not kidding when I say, there are sooo many that I’m struggling to pick just a few to discuss! He falls first, grumpy sunshine, fake dating, incredible banter… Lauren being strong and independent and loyal, and so kind, and the best kind of friend…. Fitz being mister brooding, finding his way back to his old self while falling in love, being fiercely protective and loyal, sweet to his grandparents… should I go on? Have I hooked you yet?
Sarah! Thank you soooo much for sending me an ARC to your incredible book! If the above hadn’t expressed it enough, I LOVED it so much! I was texting my sister @lizzy.slittlelibrary so much while reading it! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and see what the future holds for your next books to come!💕
Y'all I am gasping for air after this one. It is SO HOT!!! Give me a moment while I go take a cold shower.
What a great way to end off such a beautiful series. I write this with a heart heavy, overwhelmed with so many feelings. I can't believe it's over! It has been such an honor to be apart of this journey with Sarah and the rest of the Hoochies! Even though this chapter has come to a close, I look forward to the next one.
Thank you Sarah for writing the best found family trope that is prevalent throughout the entire series that just builds and gets stronger. I found myself within these characters and I didn't realize I needed the healing found within these pages. I don't know about anyone else here but these characters are real to me. I know them and they accepted me into their found family. ....... Lauren has alot of pressure on her from her parents. Whatever she achieves, she's just a big disappointment, even though she is the most recommended and highly favored Real Estate agent in Nashville, TN. So when Mr. Hotshot just walks in and acts like he owns the place, starts accompanying me to my showings to "evaluate me." Like- who does he think he is?
Fitz is the son of owners of The Fitzgerald Firm, the king of Real Estate. He didn't get to choose the life he lives, forced to live up to his name and become the future CEO of the firm. It was just another event he had to be present at when he saved the most beautiful woman from being violated by a man who believed he could take advantage of her. One thing led to another, we found ourselves in my hotel room. 3 months later, I'm assigned to a firm in Nashville, TN to evaluate how things are run and train the agents to meet certain expectations. That's when I see her. "And she doesn't even remember me. That just simply won't do."
I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! The tension between the two starts at page one with a one night stand that soon turns into a "hate to love" relationship (a strong hate), until Fitz calls in his favor that results in an arrangement to "fake date" for a year to avoid a relationship that is being forced upon him by his parents for public appeal. But- is it all fake?
💛 Waiting for Acceptance by Sarah Pirtle is the fifth and final book in the Nashville Nights series, and let me tell you—I am not okay.
💙🧡💜💚💛 We will always have our Nashville Nights.
Can I give a book 10/5 stars? Because if I could, I absolutely would.
I finished this book last night, and I’m still at a loss for words.
This series has gripped my heart like no other. It isn’t just a collection of books—it’s a family, a friendship group, a lifetime of memories bound in pages. Sarah Pirtle has created one of the most incredible found family stories I’ve ever read.
These characters feel real. They make you laugh, they make you cry, they make you feel everything.
Waiting for Acceptance was easily one of my most anticipated reads of the year, and it did not disappoint in any way, shape, or form.
✨ Fitz is the golden retriever—forever single, NYC realtor socialite—who’s forced by his parents to take over the family business. ✨ Lauren is the moody black cat—the best in the business in Nashville—who became everything her parents didn’t want her to be (in the best way possible).
This book gives us everything: 🔥 One-night stand 🏢 Office romance 💍 Fake dating 🥰 Man obsessed ❤️🔥 Hate to love
It puts you through it in the best way.
I don’t want to give too much away, but this is truly Sarah’s best writing yet. As we say goodbye to Nashville Nights, I can’t help but get emotional. This series will stay with me forever. 💛
I don’t think I’ve ever read a dedication I related more to. I was hooked from the very first line to the very last. I kid you not, it took me so long to read the prologue because of the way my jaw kept dropping to the floor. My kindle literally fell to the ground once when I gasped too loud. It was awesome.
Fitz is the best and you should all go meet him right now. He’s the greenest flag. We all need a gentleman like him. The way he noticed little things about her, like what she likes or not, from the beginning is just 🔥 Lauren is just a freaking badass. She’s strong and sweet and funny. And we all need a friend like her. These characters will surprise you in the best way. And Fitz’s chapters are just 👌🏼
“Tell me, Trouble. How did it feel, dancing with the Devil?”
This book was so emotional because it was the last of the Nashville Nights series, but it was a beautiful end. And better be sure this is a series I will never stop rereading. Just seeing how all the characters grow through their own books, but also through the others, is amazing. The best found family I wish I could be a part of. Fitz slowly meeting the gang is just the funniest too. Not to mention Tank calling him Lucy.
Also... The nicknames 🫠 THE NOSE KISSES!! 🫠😍 A “You came?” “You called” moment!!
“We’ll always have our Nashville Nights.”
💛 Fake dating 💛 Found family 💛 Office romance 💛 Possessive MMC 💛 Fierce FMC
I have been so obsessed with that book, it took me like two or three days to finished that book, and I am telling you, I was angry, sad, and squealed at first, but I was in tears because it hit me really hard that that series is going say goodbye but I love that book so much and I can't even believe that she wrote all of it, it is AMAZING book, but honestly... Taylor and Leah's Book is my MOST favorite book, I don't know why, but my point is that... I love when Lauren is being badass, and I love when Fitz being SO ROMANCE and he loves her for HER, it makes me feel so happy because it just reminded me of my boyfriend since he loves me for me. Anyway, that book is really so good, and I can't wait for bonus chapter, because I know it is going to be so good, and I can't wait for Sarah's next book...
If you read it, I am so PROUD of you and Keep it up! I can't wait for your next adventures of these book, and I am sad that the series is over, for good but I will always love that book so much. But btw I hate Fitz's dad because he pissed me off every time you wrote, but I was in awe when Fitz stood up for Lauren, it melt my damn heart, I can't wait to read more! Keep it up!!! :D
Where do I even start? This book was the last one in the Nashville Nights series and the series finished strong. Fitz and Lauren made me happy, I’m taking giggling out loud by chapter 6 with the biggest smile on my face and hyping it up to my bestie.
As always, Sarah wrote this with the perfect blend of laugh out loud and emotional damage. The ending was not what I thought I wanted but was perfect and nearly had me sobbing with happiness.
This one was kind of enemies to lovers with Lauren hating Fitz for a hot minute and Fitz being obsessed with Lauren. There was tension and chemistry fizzling between them. The spicy scenes helped to create intimacy between the two and didn’t feel like they were placed into the story for the sake of it and they were hot!
Throw in some emotional backstories and the found family with the other Nashville Nights couples and you have yourself a well rounded book that will take you on an emotional roller coaster. This book was fun and everything you could want in a romance book. This is definitely a must read!!
This series has stole a part of my heart and I was so excited to dive in and learn more about Lauren. She marches to the beat of her own drum and while the relationship with her parents may be rocky, she has found friends who have become her family.
Her professional life gets shaken up with when Fitz comes to work for her employer. The man who instantly irritates her and the one she had a one night stand with. I immediately loved the dynamic between these two and I couldn’t get enough of their banter.
When Lauren is in need of a date to her friends wedding, Fitz purposes that they fake date for a year to appease his family and he sees the opportunity to get close to the women he never forgot. These two had a journey that had a couple bumps but it was so worth the happy ending that they got.
This friendship group is exactly why I obsess over the ‘found family’ trope. From all the group chats, to the scenes with all of them to Tank being his intimidating and protective self. Tie in the kiddos that come into the series along with their many animals, and I honestly couldn’t get enough.
ARC REVIEW | Waiting for Acceptance x @authorsarahpirtle
Tropes 💛 hate to love 💛 fake dating 💛 found family 💛 spicy office scenes 💛 office romance
5/5⭐️
An end to the most beautiful series filled with growth, challenges, love, forgiveness, sacrifice, honor, and family.
Lauren and Fitz. One has temporary memory loss on the account of too many drinks, and one remembers it all. See the problem? They hate each other. According to Lauren, Fitz is self centered, insensitive, and has one goal… money. Lauren wants to do her job, do it well, and be left alone. These two have some INSANE banter, chemistry, and secretly can relate on a deep level.
I sound like a broken record at this point, but I can’t express how much I genuinely love this girl group. I cried with them, I laughed with them, and I hurt with them. I got to see each of them meet their goals, have their babies, get the dogs, and be in love with life. I think what resonated the most with me with Lauren and Fitz’s story is her talking about how she’ll always have the girls, but her person is Fitz. Growing up is realizing that your people have a life too, and change is hard. Moving is hard. Starting a new routine is hard. But the people who stick with you during those times are the good ones. The friends that keep up with traditions. The friends that cry with you, laugh with you, and celebrate your accomplishments.
Their story was one to remember. It’s the end of an era. The end of a series that I love so much. Sarah’s writing, story telling, and ability to pull emotions out of someone improved with each book. It was such a fun experience getting to see her grow as an author! I’m forever an “insta buy” when it comes to her.
Thank you so much for sending me an ARC copy!! Get your copy on KU!💛
Waiting for Acceptance (Arc Review) Sarah Pirtle ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶
Thank you for the ARC !!
It's the end of another fabulous series, and I am definitely sad to say goodbye. Sarah Pirtle has written another amazing couple in Fitz and Lauren. The way this book had me swooning, laughing, and just overall feeling all the emotions was a perfect send-off for this series.
Fitz wins the green flag award for MMCs, and he just might be my favorite of her leading men that she has written. Lauren is such a strong and independent FMC with a beautiful heart. The banter between these two was perfection, and the emotional and physical connection these two have was spicy and beautiful, just everything I love when reading a romance!
This was an amazing read, and I enjoyed everything about it! I highly recommend reading this book along with the rest of the Nashville Nights series.

📖 Waiting for Acceptance, the final book in the Nashville Nights series. 💛💛💛💛💛
I don’t even know where to start lol But I have to say Lauren and Fitz are everything! This is officially my favorite book of the series and Fitz has knocked Tucker out of 1st place 🫣😬 I absolutely loved how this story unfolded. From a one night stand that only one of them remembered to a temporary arrangement that was filled with so much tension and lust neither one of them could deny it. And it blossomed into something beautiful. Lauren and Fitz have always had a common desire to be loved and accepted for who they were and they finally found that in each other. Like the other, this book had me on a rollercoaster of emotions, I was laughing one moment, crying the next and then I’d be blushing lol I cant believe this series is over, but Sarah wrapped it up beautifully. I will always recommend this book series.
I’m so sad we are at the end of the Nashville Nights crew’s HEAs but I’m so glad they all got them!
Lauren has been the wildcard for me from the beginning. Sis definitely kept herself a bit of a mystery and I loved that we got to know her so much in her book.
Fitz was so good! I don’t know how I would ever choose a favorite male character but he is definitely just as good as the other 4 for sure!
These two started out so hot and heavy. I love the little enemies to lovers aspect as well as office romance. Two great tropes that were done so well in this one!
I loved watching these two discover how to be honest with each other about who they really are as opposed to who they have been pretending to be for way too long.
Like I said earlier, I’m sad it came to an end but it was done so well. And maybe one day we will get a little novella of all of their futures ;)
Thank you to Sarah Pirtle for an arc in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

Oh man! Bittersweet that this series is at an end. I found Sarah on TikTok when she was working on her first book! I loved watching her writing grow! Dare I say, Fitz and Lauren may have become my new favorite (along side Tucker and Taylor).

The first book was so so good, the second book was really really good, the third book of the Nashville nights series was freaking amazing, the fourth has captivated my heart but fifth is just perfect !
I enjoyed this book from the first page up until the last! I knew that Lauren and Fitz’ book would be special: so much banter and unreleased tension since the beginning of the series- it had to be explosively good! And it is!!
This story has everything : combination of great tropes, lovable main characters, ride or ☠️ friends and hot spice 🔥🥵
I honestly think that friendship written by Sarah is one of best things about her books! Each time I am reading her stories I wish I was part of the girl gang!
It is a bittersweet feeling to know that it is the last book of the series - but I am overexcited to know what Sarah has up her sleeve next 🤩
What a stunning and bittersweet conclusion to the Nashville Nights series! Anyone that has read Sarah Pirtle's previous books already knows what a gem this series is and Waiting for Acceptance exceeds any expectations readers can having going in. The build up for Lauren throughout the series peeks as we get to see this amazing woman from multiple perspectives, finally understanding what makes up our favorite lovable badass. Buckle up readers, this is one rollercoaster you will want to go back for time and time again. The enigma that Fitz presents is the gift that never fails even through the very last page. Every time you think you have him figured out Sarah will surprise you something perfectly unexpected.
With the extensive world building laid out throughout the series this author has created a unique set of characters that reader can connect with book after book. Lauren and Fitz are will draw you in, capture your attention and ensure you come back for more. Heartfelt moments, heat, playfulness and passion are only a few characteristics you will find within these pages.
The story of Lauren and Fitz was so well done and different from my typical romance reads - in a good way 😋 I normally read what I’d consider “really sweet” romances and this one was extremely likable and FIERCE!
The story itself was fiery, as is our main girl Lauren - she is SUCH a black cat, capable of keeping you on your toes and she never skips a freaking beat - with anything! ❤️🔥 Which I think made our main guy Fitz even more enjoyable than he already was. His nickname for her, Trouble, was the best thing ever, especially from the *start* of the story. 🤭 I loved them both so much and enjoyed this office romance, especially the forced proximity meets 🤝 hate-to-love…things were intense and quite comical at times; their BANTER was on an entirely different level!! 🙈
I'm so incredibly proud that this was Sarah's debut series but I'm stupid tremendously sad that it's over. How does one just say goodbye? 1. The MF dedication!! (that's it) 2. Lauren had my heart in a chokehold. Seeing her be surrounded by this amazing girl gang and their partners but yet feeling her loneliness pour off the pages made me fall in love with her. I genuinely got jealous of her friendship with Ruby and Tank. This girl busted her ass on the daily at her job to be the best of the best and to hopefully one day get the appreciation of her parents. The alcohol coping mechanism hurt, but I was so incredibly giddy watching Fitz take care of her and becoming the reason she slowly fills the void in her life and no longer needs to dull the pain that she lives in. Fitz. How do I explain this man?! He was in her corner from day one coming to that firm. He poked and prodded and picked on her to get any rise and to see her fire. Her passion. He wanted to help her become better. And his grand gesture at the end?! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!! Love The banter between these two was top tier. I loved that Lauren had Tank in her corner. Not knowing any of the story between her and Fitz, but seriously ready to throw hands. While trying to help Lauren grow in the real estate world, I felt like Fitz grew in his personal world because of her. Standing up to her parents the way he did, most definitely will put him onto your book boyfriend list. I was glad to see that he finally took the reins of his life. The ultimate 'fck you' to his dad. Most of all...I was so glad to see Lauren finally get a happy ending and feel like she no longer had to present a fakeness. This was the perfect way to end the series and I'm bummed to leave. Thank you Sarah Pirtle for not only letting me be on your team, but for taking the leap to put your stories into the world.
This was a bittersweet book. At first, I was nervous cause I didn't want it to end; however, this was a perfect ending.
I love how they understand each other and aren't afraid to speak their mind and challenge each other.
The PARENTS! At FIRST, I was like, man, I would have more of an interaction with her parents...... and then I did, and I was like, nope, I'm so glad I didn't. They piss me off.
I love the grandparents and how you see some of Fitz's attributes stem from them, which is so beautiful.
Tank is the man!!!!! That is all I have to say—the found family - and how the group just adopted Fitz like they did with Sawyer.
Lauren and Fitz needed each other to give that extra push. The ending was perfection 👌

Oh my heart! I’m so so so sad to say goodbye to this amazing friend group! The group texts through the series and especially in this book are chefs kiss.
As for this book itself….. I absolutely loved everything about Fitz and Lauren. Both coming from over expecting parents and never being able to make them proud. I felt that emotion deeply and the author nailed the mixed feeling emotions perfectly. How the 2 went from one night fling to, enemies to lovers, and so much more. They completed each other in the most Jerry McGuire kind of way!
Any hesitation to read this series (because it makes this book so much better) put it aside. You’re late to the game! Read it!
Many thanks to author Sarah Pirtle for the review copy of this book.
What a bittersweet (and HOT 🥵) ending to the Nashville Nights series. 💛 Office romance 💛 Rivals to lovers 💛 Hidden identity 💛 Airport 🌶️ 💛 Fake dating 💛 Parent manipulation (TW) 💛 Top tier friend group chats 💛 Book five and the final "The End"
Lauren and Fitz were unlike any other couple in this series, and their story was a great adventure. What an epic way to wrap up the series.
But what a way to go out! I loved Lauren and Fitz story so much! ....my favorite might just be how protective Tank was of Lauren! That and I think the guys group chat is possibly better than the girls. 👀 Lauren and Fitz complemented each other so well, with their similar backgrounds they knew hot to be exactly what the other needed.
I think this may just be my favorite of the Series. It truly was the best ending.
Cant wait to see what Sarah has in store for us next!
I’ve been waiting for this story for so long! I love how committed both Fitz and Lauren were to each other. And how they each provided support in different ways for their challenging parents. Fitz provided the validation that Lauren always hoped she’d get from her parents where Lauren provided support for Fitz’ dreams so he could stand apart from his dad. As always the spice was delicious and we always get the best updates on the rest of the group. I’m so sad to see this Nashville Nights chapter come to an end!
This was an EASY five stars for me 🌟 I absolutely inhaled this book. Sarah is a very talented writer, I was sucked right in. The characters and scenarios were believable and relatable. I love that this story took place over time and built a solid foundation, and it wasn’t just an insta-love (although there was insta-lust 😏 but that just added to the charm of this story!) The secondary characters were also great, and of course, Ginny was a shining star 🥹 It was also a beautiful wrap-up to the series as a whole!

The end of an era with the Nashville Nights crew! but I'm happy to say that this book did NOT disappoint. The enemies to lovers AND a fake dating trope?! Too yummy! At first, I didn't believe Lauren and Fitz would work out! The tension! The drama! She really hates him for a bit there. But in the end, I laughed and cried with the whole crew. And everyone got their HEA. Although, I definitely feel like this book hits better if you've read the books that come before it ;)
Ahhh another amazing book from Sarah! I’ve devoured this series within days of them all coming out. I fell in love with each character, each plot line, each twist and turn and their family as a whole. I’ve never wanted so much to be apart of a family as this one. As for Lauren & Fitz.. we love a button pusher and someone who loves us for all our quirks and will always push us to our full potential. Love them!
I found Sarah Pirtle on Instagram because of her cute book boyfriend videos. I’ve read every book right after release and I have to say that none of them have disappointed. I have shed real tears with the girls of Nashville and I can’t wait to see what this sweet momma writes next!
I throughly enjoyed this book. I really enjoyed the authors way of writing. The storyline definitely kept this reader invested and engaged with the characters. Lauren and Fitz are two characters that will definitely stick with this reader for quite some time. This storyline definitely had all the feels. Looking forward to her next book.
