This is the story of Edward Laine. Isolated on his Wisconsin farm in the mid 1900's, his world slowly becomes unraveled after the death of his mother. Triggering a series of disturbing events as he desperately tries to find a way to bring her back to life, Laine will stop at nothing to resurrect his mother. Based on a true story, the horrors that follow will shock the nation for decades to come.

Well written, fact based story like no other! It isn't an easy read, and I don't recommend it for anyone that doesn't want gory details. I had to skip a bit of that, myself. I enjoyed the psychology aspect.
