Though it is dated from the 1960s, it was a good overview of what is believed to have happened before writing came to the Upper Great Lakes. I did enjoy the description of Radio Carbon Dating which was state of the art at this time and still not fully understood.

fun and informative- the two extinct great lakes- lake agassiz and lake ojibway- walruses and whales in lake huron.
