These are the tenets that rule the De Santis family—until an arranged marriage potentially threatens all three.
Born into the most ruthless crime family in the South, Azreal De Santis is bred to lead, dominate, and rule. When a strategic marriage forces him to take Natoi Kingston as his wife, Azreal learns power is not always defined by strength, blood is not the strongest bond, and loyalty isn’t always black and white. Sometimes there are shades of gray.
Natoi Kingston is fire, rebellion, and nothing Azreal believes is beneficial in his world. She challenges, tempts, and makes him question everything he thought he knew about loyalty and love.
Natoi controls Azreal simply by existing in his world. Meant to be a pawn, a necessary transaction to solidify his rule, Natoi destroys Azreal’s expectations when he realizes she provides him balance.
As the lines between power and passion blur, betrayal lurks in the shadows, and families are destroyed. Power is shattered by the illusion of control, leaving Azreal with one undeniable truth, loyalty is earned not given. Natoi has to prove she deserves the De Santis name.
In a world where family means everything, love might be the most dangerous weakness of all.

Azreal is on the cusp of becoming the head of the De Santis Cartel but, as with most crime families, marriage is a requirement. Since his family is in the process of taking control of Elliot Kingston’s territory, an alliance is formed between the two families for Azreal and Elliott’s daughter to get married. This will ensure the committee will accept Azreal as the new head of the De Santis Cartel.
For as long as Natoi was able to understand, she’s known her parents have never loved her. Elliott and his wife were very vocal about their desire to have a boy and they made sure Natoi knew she was unwanted from birth. As soon as she was old enough, she was shipped off to boarding school so they wouldn’t have to deal with her. Natoi is now in her 20s and lives a quiet life studying art until she’s summonsed home by her parents and told she must marry Azreal De Santis.
Natoi and Azreal may not have wanted this marriage but, it was exactly what both of them needed. Especially Natoi. She didn’t realize how starved she was for love and emotional support until the De Santis family showed her what real love looks like. I really enjoyed The De Santis Cartel. The close bond between Azreal, Cardi, and his parents was heartwarming. We love a crime family that loves each other.
Azreal and Natoi are arranged to be married as a power play to keep the De Santis Cartel (Azreal's family) in control. Azreal was to become the head of the family and of course that meant he needed to be a family man. What I loved most about these two is that neither were looking forward to this marriage, but they didn't shy away from the immediate chemistry between them. Azreal was just that 🥷🏾 and I love when a man "my wife's" us to death, Yesss claim yo woman. We love when the MMC falls first and he didn't play about her at all. Natoi had never really felt love, because her parents were trash, so I loved the way Azreal and his family embraced her. They were navigating a lot of bs, but Azreal took no prisoners and they stood strong together as a united front.
Loved the motorcycle scene 🏍️ because sheesh I was here for Azreal and his blade 🔪 The ending was too sweet ❤️❤️
3.25⭐️🌶️ This book wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. I felt like it was very monotone compared to the author’s other books that I’ve read. It was very instant love, and I didn’t really feel the chemistry between the two main characters. I liked that the MMC instantly wanted to protect and be inHusband mode, and the FMC’s story was kind of repetitive and that she didn’t really have a storyline besides being unwanted by her parents, which it repeated over and over again.
I loved this book. Both the FMC and MMC shined here. You have a MOB boss that never had a son, so he treated the daughter he had like she was a inconvenience. She recieved no love, attention, or even the slightest bit of affection. Little did he know this would be his down fall. He needed her to marry into very powerful family (The De Santis family) in order to save them from his debt and the way he mishandled his territory. Once Natoi married into the DeSantis family she recieved everything she only wished for from her own blood plus more. I felt this story was more about Natoi and her journey of being seen for who she was. She was much stronger then what they knew and that showed. Azreal was drawn to her from day 1 and knew that this arranged marriage would be more real than they both bargained for. 5 star read for me.
K. C. Mills really doesn’t miss with me. I loved this book. Azreal played no games when it came to Natoi. But what I really loved was that although this is a mafia-arranged marriage book, the couple is open to exploring and making their relationship real from the beginning. They don't know each other but are willing to try, and that was a refreshing change. Natoi finding her forever family warmed my heart, especially after the way her family treated her. Really enjoyed this.
I'm a sucker for a crime family romance and even more of a sucker for an arranged marriage trope. Regardless this was a great read.
Natoi entered the marriage reluctantly while Azreal entered the marriage hopeful that they could make it work. With this marriage, Natoi gets the family support she has always wanted and a partner who reaffirms her and her dreams. I loved Azreal's relationship with his family and how little shit he took for people. Excited to read more from this author.
(3.5⭐️) I love a good arranged marriage when they decide very early on that they want to just be together for real. Azreal & Natoi were cute together. Also, I enjoyed watching Azreal & his family embrace and support Natoi, especially in her career goals. There were a lot of cartel shenanigans in here which kept you engaged outside of their romance One complaint…I think Natoi’s mom got off too easy. As always KC Mills doesn’t miss. She writes Alpha male lover boys so well.
Dangerous business connections, no way out safely. Natoi and Azreal's union is of mutual interest.....she can run all ahe wants, but Azreal is a man that always gets what he wants..... I loved this marriage of convenience so much !! 🔥🔥🔥
KC Mills has a way of making you fall in love with her characters. Their flaws are embraced. You feel the intensity of their love for each other. You cheer them on even in their darkest moments. Azreal more than loved Natoi. I'm so glad he turned out to be her peace.
"THE DE SANTIS CARTEL:THE INC." BOOK IS DEFINITELY ON MY TO GET LIST SOON AS WELL AS MY "SAVE-FOR-LATER" LISTS ON AMAZON TOO!
BACK TO WRITE A PROPER & CONCISE REVIEW ON THE DE SANTIS CARTEL: THE INC. BOOK. HAVING LISTENED TO THIS BOOK VIA AUDIBLE MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE THE ABOVE STATEMENT, I'D COME TO REALIZE THIS BOOK THOUGH IT DEFINITELY WAS ON POINT TO WHAT ONE WOULD CONSIDER A "TRUE" CARTEL FAM TO BE, IT FAILED TO CAPTURE ME OR PROVE TO ME THAT THE CHARACTERS WERE WORTHY OF MY CHEERING FOR THEM TO BE ANYTHING REMOTELY IN A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER. THAT IS ALL.
Sheltered, Unseen, Unloved, Demeaned, and Hidden from the world all because she was born a girl. The way Natoi mother and father treated her was heartbreaking. Kingston wanted a son. A heir to be able to take his spot when he stepped down from his fraction under the Cartel, but since him and his wife had a daughter instead. They treated Natoi like trash and basically blamed her for being born a girl instead of a boy. Natoi had to deal with both of her parents constant judgement, belittling, harsh criticism, etc, but yet they used her as a pawn to marry Azreal . Azreal was pissed when his father made a deal with Kingston to arrange a marriage with Natoi. However Azreal knew he had no choice but to agree if he wanted to take over his father position and the head of De Santis Cartel. Kingston thought he was smart trying to use his own child as a pawn but it backfired. Natoi and Azreal marriage might've started out arranged but it was something they both needed. Azreal brother, father, and mother accepted Natoi with open arms and showed her what a loving family is. Azreal poured so much love and positivity into Natoi and Natoi reciprocated. She challenged Azreal. Natoi was Azreal peace and calm in the storm that was brewing outside their home. For Marks to he as old as he is. His jealousy towards Azreal and the De Santis Cartel was very obvious. Marks kept trying Azreal but he screwed up threatening Natoi. Marks should've known that his time on earth was limited but he kept being sneaky trying to have Azreal killed twice, tried to have Natoi killed, and then he snitched. Kingston was pitiful. I laughed when he asked Natoi to be disloyal to Azreal. The way she checked her father. Kingston was pissed tf off. I was glad Natoi checked her bitter ass mother too. They had no right to asked her for anything after the way they treated her, her whole life. The love between Natoi and Azreal was heartwarming. Azreal didn't play about her and would eliminate anything or anyone who he saw as a threat to Natoi. Even her own father.
K.C. Mills She did it Again.. I always been a fan of her writing. No mistakes ,the characters matches up with the story. Azreal and Natoi love story started as an arrangement Marriage for the wrong and possibly of right reason’s.. Azeal handsome, gangster..his Mindset was first to be married to Natoi Just for her father’s territory, one look at beautiful she is switched his mindset he wanted more. Something real with her.He changed very quickly to be better for himself, and for her he have proven gangsters can be a good son , Husband and father protector for his Queen and his son’s..Natoi Never experienced real love not from her parents she wanted to wait out to be free to be love the way she deserves Azreal De Santis changed her life allowing her heart to feel his love compassion for her..with his Brother Accardi the rest of the family is secure solid for her.. please have a part two so we can see.Accardi story with Natoi friend Janet .
K.C. I don’t know what you put in this book but whatever it was had me hooked!
“But family is family, whether blood or chosen. And if they don’t love and respect you, then you don’t owe them a damn thing.” Now that quote ain’t nothing but the truth okay?!
SPOILER (maybe)
Everyone knows the son in a family like this will inherit the business and they are the namesake. Unfortunately for Natoi, she was not a boy. Fortunately for her, her parents were just bad at everything lol. Natoi and Azreal didn’t want this union but it happened and what was built out of unwanted circumstances was nothing but beauty.
Now Elliot had to pay because he just wouldn’t stop and he couldn’t lead. As for Marks? That’s what happens when you refuse to step down and insist that you are better when you’re not.
Azreal and Accardi DeSantis come from a fine line of lineage , their father is part of the top CARTEL and Azreal is next in line. His fathers comes with an excellent plan, marry the enemy’s daughter Natoi Kingston and bring their territory back up to par. Azreal loves riding his motorcycle and so does Natoi and that is where they will cross paths and the spark has already been lit. When Elliot Kingston hands his daughter over like a sold steak…is amazed at how the kingstons treated their daughter. Meanwhile Matriarch DeSantis welcomed Natoi with open arms and the loves gradually grows between Azreal and Natoi. Accardi loves his sis-in-law and their dad loves her also. Theirs a few haters that as Azreal takes over they will test him and WILL HE PAST THE TEST?
As real DeSantis was a forced to be reckon with, he didn't play about respect, Loyalty, his family and especially his wife and he made it known by putting anyone in their place who disrespected them. I felt sorry for Natoi the parents she had were worthless they displayed no love towards or for her and always made sure she knew they preferred a boy instead; her mother was always about self just a gold digger trying to appease her husband so he could continue to take care of her that was proven when she was sent away with funds and never came back. Happy things worked out and Natoi finally received the love she yearned for from a family.
A great story, if you love mafia type stories and arranged marriages! Natoi was a strong woman though she had parents who didn't give a hoot about her a x then you Azreal, strong and dominate non his own way, on his way to becoming the boss! Azreal and Natoi marriage may have been arranged, but they fell for lane another from the onset! I love how the De Santis family treated Natoi, just like family from the jump, unlike her family! They had challenges but handled them like adult,. I loved the end ing as well!
I really enjoyed this book. I love how even tho it was an arranged marriage, they got along right away. Azreal wasn't mean or belittling to her. He wanted to make it work from the beginning. Natio got on board quickly, and it worked for them. Her parents were a piece of work. It's really sad how they treated her. The Desantis family stepped up and had her back in all areas. They showered her with genuine love. I'm glad to see her come into her own and be successful. It was a great story.
This was a cool instalove story with enough action and drama to keep in interesting. I will say, Accardi got on my nerves and rubbed me the wrong way, he was too worried about his brothers sexual life with his wife. I get being curious about how the arranged marriage was going, but he was kind of a creep always having something to say about how his sister in laws cat was, that comment about liking to watch was ridiculous and again creepish, he really needed some business and a life of his own.
Yesss I loved it from beginning to end simply amazing 👏🏾 the way his family was so kind and loving ❤️ toward natoi was beautiful 😍 they stood on business ❤️ but family was everything ❤️ definitely book Bae 🥵🥰 her family was hot mess so mean for her father to tell azreal to basically do whatever you to her ❤️ in a harsh manner was sickness I loved natoi strong essence and boldness of becoming her own this is one of my favorite ❤️ yessss hopefully ❤️ we get his brother story keep it coming ❤️
Azreal and Accardi are my favs. Love them to pieces. I was a little confused at first because Azreal is the youngest, but their dad groomed him to take over the Cartel. It was a good thing because Azreal ain't no joke.
An arranged marriage between Az and Natoi is the turning point for both of them. They didn't want to be married, but soon discovered that they were exactly what each other needed. Azreal and Natoi loved each other because they earned it.
Really good story. Hopefully we can get a story about Cardi.
I throughly ate this audiobook up!!!!! Mills wrote the hell out this. I loved every single thing about this book. Azreal is such BDE!! The way that man stepped and handled his business 🥵🥵🥵. Him and Natoi were truly meant to be. They balanced each other and the tension/passion between this is so pleasing 😈.
It was truly night and day between Azreal’s family and Natoi’s. They embraced her with open arms. Where her family was pure trash. Natoi’s character was really beautiful. I loved her artsy side. Baby when she checked that girl i was clapping my hands.
I love an arranged marriage ! Y’all are not talking about Azreal DeSantis enough! This man was level-headed, ruthless, but soft only for Natoi — and I loved it!
Natoi, my girl! I love a strong FMC, and the fact that she races bikes? Yes, please. She wasn’t all in at first, but I respect that “how bad can it be?” mindset — and watching her step into her own power, pursue her passion, and found family.
And Accardi… I really hope you get a book, sir, because you definitely seem like you’ve got a story to tell.
I loved this one — I might even create some visuals for it 🖤♥️
Black Mafia/Arranged Marriage is one of my favorite combos to read. This story was a little different than most in that both the MMC and MFC were amenable to the arrangement almost from the beginning, and I loved it!!! Although action-packed, this really was a love story. The touch of spice made it a 10/10 and highly recommended for me.
I loved every bit of this story. Azreal was so charming and the way he carried Natoi was beautiful. He took his role as husband serious and it showed through the entire story. Natoi daddy was a piece of sh*t and got what he deserved. I don’t think her mama should have been able to walk away through. Her treatment of Natoi was deplorable. It’s a good thing she had Azreal’s family treating her as one of their own!
I looooved this. I wasn’t expecting this to be an arranged marriage which is one of my favorite tropes so of course I ate it up. I love how both characters had their own thoughts & opinions regarding the deal prior to meeting each other & then when they met each other it was totally different. This isn’t a motorcycle club book it’s a mafia romance where the two characters share a love for riding motorcycles. I can’t wait to see what else K.C. Does with this family/series.
