This WEBTOON comic features two opposites brought together by their love of dogs, who fall for one another despite their differences . . . and maybe despite their better judgment.
Pam’s heart has been broken one too many times, and being dumped over her unruly dog Bob was the last straw. Now determined to care for Bob on her own, how long can this hopeless romantic resist falling for her mysterious yet compassionate neighbor Tyler—especially when he’s so good with dogs?
Bubbly and optimistic Pam lives in an apartment with her Doberman, Bob, and works an office job with her best friend, Ann. Struggling to keep up with Bob’s constant need for play, Pam often returns to a destroyed living room.
Bob is so out of control that Pam’s controlling ex-boyfriend asked her to give up her dog . . . or break up. Pam chose the dog.
She knows that she made the right choice, but Bob’s behaviour is still a problem. However, things take a turn for the better when Pam meets her enigmatic neighbor, Tyler, who just so happens to be an excellent dog trainer.
Despite Tyler’s intimidating appearance, Pam hires him to take care of Bob during the day, as Tyler works night shifts at his uncle’s bar.
Pam and Tyler bond, and their attraction towards one another grows. But Pam will need to contend with Tyler’s pampered Shih Tzu, Tequila, who fiercely defends her owner from any woman who gets too close.
This volume collects episodes 1 to 14 of the pawsitively adorable WEBTOON comic Love 4 a Walk, which has 1.9 million subscribers.
Readers who love fun and flirty romance will love this opposites attract graphic novel with hidden depth and adorable dogs.
An absolutely adorable romcom with cute dogs! What more could you want? Pam, fresh off a breakup, is trying to juggle her demanding corporate job and her sweet but stubborn Doberman, Bob, who doesn’t always listen. Enter the guy next door, with his own adorable dog, who connects instantly with Bob. Mix it all together, and you get a tentative friendship with a dash of romance and two dogs you can’t help but fall in love with.
I can’t recommend this webtoon-turned-physical novel enough. I loved getting to know both Pam and Tyler’s backstories, along with the adorable dog interactions. THe facial expressions and reactions throughout the story were spot-on and genuinely entertaining. I was hooked from start to finish and can’t wait for the next volume!
Thank you Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
Love 4 A Walk features Pam, a corporate woman who is struggling to get her Doberman, Bob to listen to her. He is an energetic pup and acts out when she is away from home destroying it. As such, she has trouble getting him to behave and listen because she coodles him. She also recently went through a breakup where her ex forces her to choose between him and the dog. Enter, her neighbour, Tyler and his territorial tiny dog, Tequila who ends up helping her out by taking care of Bob during weekdays to help her out.
Their interactions are hilarious as they were not a fan of each other to start but slowly started understanding each other better. The dogs are so cute! We have Bob, the doberman, a clownish, loud and energetic Doberman and Tequila, a small, fluffy, cute and sass dog!
One thing I love about the story is the portrayal of the characters. Given her recent breakup, Pam swore off men and gets nervous, insecure and is an overthinker. Tyler seems to also hold some trauma of his own against females since Tequila is very overprotective of him and will react when females are close to him. Watching them slowly develop feelings for each other is so sweet - slow burn at its finest!
The art is very expressive, with many great details in terms of facial expressions for the humans and dogs, driving the story. The colors are cozy and fit the story vibe.
Highly recommend it if you are looking for a love story with a slow burn featuring two cute dogs!
Many thanks to Wattpad/Webtoon via Netgalley for the eARC.
I adored this graphic novel so, so much. I need more right now!
This is an adorable story of 2 neighbors finally meeting. Give this a try if you want - dog lovers - both mains have pet dogs - the hero's dog has a throne - hero is a bartender and cooks for the heroine - tattooed hero - great tension building - heroine is 29, hero is 26
This was such a cute read. I adored the graphics. This one had me smiling the whole time I was reading and squeeing with joy. Super cute story and loved the side characters. Definitely will be considering buying this series!
The ending had me so emotional. I looked at my husband when I finished with tears in my eyes and said I loved this book so much - and then zoomed in on the 'to be continued' haha. I highly recommend.
I’m not really a dog person or a fan of walking red flags named Tyler—BUT, hear me out, this is pretty good.
To be fair, Tyler is not really a walking red flag. He’s red flag adjacent—and just so happens to be named Tyler.
Anyway.
This is a delightful little “opposites attract”, contemporary romance. We’ve got our good girl with a big, bad dog and a bad boy with an adorable, little dog.
I mean, what’s not to love?
Plus, the two of them are TOTAL DISASTERS in their own ways.
Pam needs to get her life together and Tyler looks like he could drop dead at any moment. Those under eye bags are INTENSE. There’s some real pathetic, loser boy energy oozing through the fuckboi veneer.
Don’t know about you but I LOVE a pathetic loser man who’s also very clearly a lover boy down on his luck.
Whatever is wrong with him is fortunately-unfortunately VERY hot.
Can Pam fix him? More importantly, can she fix herself?
Not sure about the answer to either of those questions but I’m game to find out~
Honestly binging this over in webtoons as we speak but clocked the first bit as I CANNOT wait for this published edition! It’s cute, romance, DOGS, and just everything about this is amazing. Plus the chemistry tension, I feel the “now KISS” gif fits perfect
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group/WEBTOON unscrolled for this e-ARC! First of all, this cover is literally so adorable! I could not wait to get my hands on it! Something about love stories with doggies, just makes me so so happy.
One Sentence Summary - Pam needs help with her Doberman, Bob who is destroying her apartment, after a meet-cute with Tyler, he offers to help train Bob during the day, while she is away at her office job and a very sweet love story unfolds.
I was not expecting to be so wrapped up in Tyler and Pam's lives with their cute dogs! I really enjoy this story, and I feel like for a first volume, this is the perfect amount of getting to know the characters AND the building of a cute-ass love story! I feel like the best way to describe this book is like "now kiss!" LOL. It's giving slow burn, but it is very much worth it! I will say it ends on a cliffhanger, but my goodness this is going to be my new obsession.
5 ⭐️ Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Love for a Walk by Nuria Sanguino!!
I absolutely loved this graphic novel!! This was another webcomic I originally read on WEBTOON and am SO happy to see getting published!!! It’s so cute and cozy and Pam’s love her Bobby just absolutely melts your heart! You’ve got the Grumpy x Sunshine trope with Pam the bubbly 9-5, M-F office worker and Tyler the nighttime bartender and it WORKS and is done SO well!! It’s also an age gap romance you find out?? Where Pam is older?? I LOVE an older leading lady!! GET. IT. PAM!!!!
I cannot recommend this series enough! From Bobby and how much his and Pam’s relationship reminds me of my own with my kitty (I would do ANYTHING for my cat Sparrow, even say screw it to a toxic relationship if they made me choose him or my lovely little chaotic ball of fur **hint hint wink wink**). From the illustrations to the storytelling or the back and forth between Pam and Tyler, this series is done so well and I’m so so excited to see more!
I read this a few years ago and loved it, but coming back now I realized I’d forgotten like 70% of it. So yeah, it basically felt like reading it for the first time. I have something new to say.
First of all: the art. I love it. It’s cute, expressive, and looks insanely hard to draw, which makes me respect it even more.
Second: the story. The character development actually goes hard, everyone gets something. Even Tequila. TEQUILA. She has a "backstory"(if i can put it that way).
BUT. The interactions sometimes drove me crazy. The constant switching up – liking each other, hating each other, repeat. It felt immature and exhausting. And some moments were just straight-up cringey (Tyler randomly flirting?? why??), that really tested my patience.
Still, I had fun, I enjoyed it. And despite everything, I’m absolutely excited for the second season (oops, I read on webtoon).
Pam's previous boyfriend was annoyed at their Doberman Bob's behavior and told Pam "It's me or that thing!" She chose Bob. Now she's trying to figure out how to deal with Bob's separation anxiety and other issues.
Enter Tyler, Pam's next door neighbor, who agrees to spend time with Bob during the day (he works nights as a bartender) and help Pam train him. He'd heard Pam and her ex's fights and could relate to and respect her decision to choose her dog over her ex. He himself seems to have had some past relationship issues, and he now has a spoiled Shih Tzu who hates it anytime a woman is close to him.
Tyler and Pam start to feel drawn to one another, but they both have issues they'll need to deal with - Tyler and whatever happened with his ex, and Pam and her bad habit of easily falling in love.
I liked the art, enjoyed the characters, and thought the overall setup was cute. It reminded me of the start of a fluffy contemporary grumpy-sunshine romance novel.
Pam's friend Ann was the voice of reason. She and I were both a little horrified that Pam gave her apartment key to someone who was basically a complete stranger. At the same time, Ann seemed to think the solution to Pam's man problems was no-strings dates/sex, and I wasn't sure I agreed. Plus, Pam seemed to be incapable of that.
I enjoyed this first volume and look forward to seeing where the series goes from here.
Extras:
A few pages of additional artwork, a Pam paper doll page, an interview with Tyler, and a "which character am I?" flow chart.
This is the perfect romance for dog lovers everywhere!
When Pam’s boyfriend gives her an ultimatum, him or their Doberman, she chooses correctly. Now she lives a happy life with her dog, Bob. The only problem is that he has a lot of pent up energy that can’t be worked out while she’s at her 9 to 5 and he might destroy the apartment everyday when she leaves.
That’s, of course, the exact time when she runs into her neighbor Tyler, who offers to train Bob while she’s at work. With no idea what else to do, she takes him up on the offer.
Pam just has a little problem: she always falls in love with the wrong guy, way too quick. The fact that Tyler is incredibly hot and exactly her type doesn’t help the situation. But she’ll do whatever it takes for her sweet baby dog. Even put up with a man who obviously doesn’t want her… or does he?
Let me start by saying “must love dogs” is my one non-negotiable, so I get Pam. It’s a serious thing. If a man isn’t incredible with dogs, I don’t need him or want him. I’m married, so that doesn’t really matter, but you can tell a lot about a person by their reactions to animals. That’s an important way I test friends and (used to) with prospective partners.
This was cute and I felt very seen. The fact that the man with tattoos, looking masculine and butch having a little yappy dog is very on brand. His dog being named Tequila is the cherry on top.
If you haven’t read this, I highly recommend!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my eARC.
I was able to read this novel thanks to #netgalley
I enjoyed the slow life romance build of this novel. The love was not rushed to me. A woman finds herself post break with only her dog, Bob. She chose her dog over a man and now she has to learn how to work and be a responsible owner. She wasn't doing so well at training her dog, but situations lead her to run into her neighbor. This neighbor agrees to her offer to take care of and train her dog because he listens to the neighbor very well. They run into eachother a few times and it seems he is hiding something from his past that keeps him at arms length. The main female may be falling for a man she can never have. He also has a dog that protects him from females. Will she ever get close enough? Maybe there is something that will break the walls down and bring them closer. + tension building + slow burn + dogs treated as family + to be continued...
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
4.5 stars ✨
It took me a little while to get into the story, but once I did, I absolutely loved it! For a short volume, it definitely packed a punch, and there were some emotional moments that really stood out to me. This was such a great introduction to the rest of the series, and I’m already looking forward to the next volume.
The art style is incredible. Seriously, it’s absolutely stunning and made the whole reading experience even better. I’m so excited to see how the story develops from here.
Love 4 a Walk is a cute romance webtoon that deals with two dog owners who have gone through a relationship that made them not want to get into another one again. I personally really enjoyed this volume; it was fast-paced like many webtoons, which I really like. In this volume, I would say that it helps you get invested in the characters and learn a little bit about their lives. Many events lead to them getting closer and possibly falling for each other, so while reading, you’ll go through them trying to navigate their emotions. If you want a quick and fun read, this is definitely the way to go!
Thank you @NetGalley and @wattpadbooks for the ARC. I loved this story. Bob the dog is out of control when his sweet owner leaves for the day. She finds that her cute neighbor is good with training dogs and she ask for help. He looks like a bad boy but he has a sweetheart and a cute little dog named Tequila. Tequila doesn't like when women get too close to him but maybe Pam has the right touch.
A super cute first installment in the popular webtoon series. I briefly read a few chapters, but never from the beginning, so being able to read this first volume was a treat.
It’s got comedy, a hint at romance, and some very cute dogs. Pam is neighbors with Tyler, and she struggles with giving her dog enough attention with how busy she works out of the home. Tyler offers to dog sit, and through their devotion to their pets, a sweet little romance starts to take root. You can tell these two have some very natural chemistry, I can tell subsequent volumes will be just as fun to read as this one.
I had a good time reading this book, I saw that it was a webtoon that was getting a physical copy and thought that was super cool.
The art style in this book was very clean, sharp and attention grabbing. The characters at first weren't really loveable except for the dogs because well I love dogs, but the characters and their romance started to grow on me.
I loved the premise of this book! Two dog lovers, opposites attract, and full of fun art. With a fast pace, funny characters and emotes, it was a quick read and I can't wait to continue on Webtoon cause I need to know what happens. I am really interested to see more of Tyler's backstory as well as Pam's as to what makes each of them tick and act the way they do, especially in their choices with their life and dogs.
Thank you Wattpad Webtoon Book Group and Netgalley for this ARC!
A huge thank you to NetGalley and Webtoon Unscrolled for the eARC! All opinions are my own.
I had a fantastic time with this one! The dogs were adorable, the romance was fantastic, and the artstyle was super fun! I can’t wait to see where this goes.
This is such a fun and cute graphic novel. I loved the characters, the abundance of dog love, and the budding romance. The art is perfect for the story t0o!
Happy pub week to Love 4 a Walk!!!! This graphic novel is SO STINKING CUTE! Pls go read it immediately.
THIS IS SO CUTE!!! If you love dogs, read this. If you love romance, read this. If you like loyal FMCs, read this. If you like tall, dark, and handsome shy boys, read this.
The art is amazing, emotive and colorful. I had the best time reading this! I blushed, I teared up, and I laughed. This was genuinely a super fun time!
*Thanks so much to Netgalley, Webtoon Unscrolled, and Nuria Sanguino for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion*
webtoon ep [1-14] - A total vibe. The animation is beautifully drawn and seriously well done. And as a proud dog lover, I can confidently say the storyline is adorable. Wholesome, funny, and just the right amount of emotional. I’m definitely in for the long haul.
My heart!! this is such an adorable webtoon! I love how both always put their dogs first! Also the art is so pretty and the story itself flows really smoothly! 100% a must read!
Oh nooo, I teared up at the end, this is so cute! I picked this up because I liked the design of the ML on the cover but the art inside is even better. This is only the first volume, so there's no conclusion to the story yet unfortunately, but I really want to know what happens next. I really liked the characterization of both of the mcs and the dogs are adorable. Can't wait for the next volume!
Pam and Tyler meet because of the dogs -- Pam has an energetic, large dog while Tyler has a prissy, small dog, but he's amazing with dogs overall. This sweet romance has plenty of build up for those who like the slow-burn, but there were a few moments of awkward, almost-pay-off for those who like it to get to the point already. The dogs are adorable and have plenty of personality. The color definitely adds to the overall enjoyment of the illustrations, particularly when it comes to showing the amount of blushing both Pam and Tyler go through. The publisher rates this as adult, so libraries serving teens might go with Pupposites Attract instead.
This is Volume 1 of the Webtoon Love 4 a Walk in graphic novel format. It was pitched for “fans of modern romance and adorable animals”.
It nails the adorable animal aspect and the goofy doberman Bobby absolutely steals the show. Unfortunately, I wasn’t sold or impressed with the modern romance plot line.
Many thanks to the publisher for an eARC via NetGalley!
